**What do you like best about Filestage?**

Filestage makes my everyday life in online marketing easier and ensures that approval processes run quickly, clearly, and smoothly. I use Filestage for a variety of approvals, whether for websites, newsletters, or press releases.

I'm particularly impressed with the live view for websites - that was the sticking point for our website relaunch. All changes could be marked exactly where they were needed and I could assign specific roles to stakeholders - a great advantage for clear communication.

Everyone involved could see what everyone else had commented on, avoiding duplicate comments. The targeted comments and intuitive operation (after training) ensured an optimal and transparent workflow.

Even after the relaunch, I continue to use Filestage for approving references, newsletters, etc. I can no longer imagine my approval process without it. While my colleagues make or approve corrections, I can move on to the next task.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

If someone new is involved in the approval process, training is required first. Only then is it really intuitive.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Involvement of several people in a transparent, more effective, and faster approval process. This eliminates the need for phone calls and too many emails.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

What I particularly like about Filestage.io is the ability to leave comments directly at specific points in videos. This significantly simplifies the revision process, as I, as an editor, can work step by step from one point to the next without losing track. The visual highlighting of the marked spots ensures that no comment is overlooked. Furthermore, the user interface is intuitively designed and facilitates collaboration with the entire team, allowing all participants to track progress. I also find the feature to mark tasks as completed particularly helpful, as it makes the workflow clearer.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

What I don't like about Filestage.io is the often difficult start for new users. Our customers, who have not yet worked with the platform, initially find it confusing and have trouble navigating the features. Especially for first-time users, the interface seems complex and somewhat cluttered, which makes access difficult. Although most users get better over time, the first impression often remains confusing and could be significantly improved with a simpler design or "quick tutorials." A simple and clear start would be desirable here.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

Community planners engage large groups in thinking about the future.  When we move these plans to paper for review, we need a tool that is easy to use for diverse groups of people that come from all walks of life.  Filestage was exactly this.  Our steering committees, planning commissions, and elected officials just need an internet connection and the link we provide.  They love using it and when we asked why, they said it is quick, easy, and sometimes, even fun.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

I have not found anything that I dislike about Filestage.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work with large groups of reviewers thaat have different technolgy compentencies.  Filestage allows everyone to partiicipate regardless of technical know how.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

The upside of Filestage is the possibilty to linearize all communication concercing file approval. More more
cluttered mails, documents or even phonecalls to trade information.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

In the business field where we use it most, onboarding for reviewers is sometimes more difficult than expected.
Due to its functions it requires a certain level of intutive software usage skills or rather willingness to adapt.

It freed us from endless e-mail chains and hand-stored pdf reviews and so on

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

Filestage makes it much easier for us to coordinate with customers. We often involve several different departments, it is very easy to keep track of comments. The areas to be corrected can be precisely marked and determined. Text changes can be easily entered and linked as a text document. The comparison view helps our customers a lot in decision making! The program is intuitive and can be quickly explained to the customer. 
The support is always very friendly and fast.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

What is a bit disturbing is that even after the approval has been granted, information mails continue to arrive for all reviewers. But that depends on the side (customer or agency).

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Design coordination with multiple departments is very clear and therefore simple. Approvals now only run via this channel

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

I like how the client can mark timestamps and give feedback at that mark.  Notes without timestamps can be confusing so that's a huge help.  On other platforms, its just allows for general notes.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

Sometimes setting up a file to be reviewed can be confusing.  I understand that you need to establish a project first and then upload the file into that project, but the interface could be a little more helpful to step you through that process, especially if you're new to the platform.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Filestage gets everyone on the same page with a video file.  When you submit a file, everyone gets notified on the same platform, everyone can see the same notes and everyone gets notified of approvals.  It eliminates long email chains and no one gets accidentally left out of a CC.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

Filestage makes it easy to provide specific feedback. It saves me a lot of time and work because most of the given feedback from our clients can be passed through quickly and easily without any extra explanation. 

Filestage allows structuring your projects from A to Z in one environment and overview. 

The ever-growing number of options make projects even easier and more user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

In my opinion it is less suited for reviewing videos. Not because it can't but because it makes you quickly exceed the data limit within your account and forces you to upgrade. Of course this depends on the size of your organization. 

For photography there are some small compression issues at this point. In some cases images with a bigger file size get compressed to a point where the colors change in the image. Pressing HQ when reviewing changes the image back to normal, but it can lead to situations where the client mentions feedback that is not relevant when this step is forgotten.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Going back and forth with multiple different documents, between various departments. Before Filestage the review process could become quite messy when working with lots of files and variations. Now everything is in one place, and Filestage is the only file you need. It is accessible for everyone. This saves everybody a lot of time, so it positively affects our organization and the client relation.

You can mark exactly where you would like to make a comment, mark the revision as complete, respond to comments and get emailed when revisions have been made. The categorization of files and who can review is very helpful as well. It's easy to stay organized and communicate clearly.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

Sometimes the clients can review before you're ready for them to because the file can sometimes be seen by reviewers in stage 2 while trying to upload to stage one.

Filestage makes it easy to work with people all over the country because you can upload digital files and receive feedback on them immediately. Your clients can even review the project before they receive it so projects can go through multiple rounds of revision before the final product.

It's so easy to leave comments on the right part or timestampe of any creative (video, audio, img). Love the flexibility of being able to draw arrows, circles, etc around areas and leave feedback. User interface is nice

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

Wish I could hit a button to download a piece of creative without having to open it up.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Filestage, I would give feedback with some combination of Slack, Asana, Email, Google Docs comments, or getting on a Zoom/Slack call. What a headache for a designer and very inefficient way to log feedback and manage changes. Now, my designer (who is across the world and works opposite time zone) uploads creative, I drop feedback, and it reduces the amount of revisions significantly.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

Filestage helps our team proof content faster than ever!
We love how our clients can make comments directly on our mockups and how Filestage makes checklists to ensure we address every single one. 

Due dates on projects help our clients know which tasks are the most pressing, and Filestage sends out notifications to us as soon as a project has been reviewed internally and externally. We use it every day!

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

There are a few bugs that sometimes slows down our workflow:

Occasionally we experience issues with abrupt sign-outs, and we can't sign back in quickly because some of the login prompts are missing (such as sign-in with Google.)

Our clients will also message us and say they can see our mockup files, but Filestage won't allow them to make edits or send approval, and they have to email us their feedback instead, defeating the program's purpose.

Sometimes the due date field glitches, and we have to choose an incorrect date to trick the program into selecting the correct date.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Filestage reduces the back and forth we have with proof emails, making a faster and more seamless process for our clients and our team. This means we spend more time on new projects and less time sorting through emails.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

Filestage makes it easy for me and my clients to review content submissions from our creators. It makes the process seamless and eliminates the need for lengthy emails.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

Not exactly dislike, but there are still a few features that can be improved on. Like the ability to group all approved content at the bottom like the old version, so it's not very confusing for everyone to differentiate the approved vs. the not approved ones.

It removes the need for back & forth emails between creators and stakeholders. With it's very specific features, we can pin point exactly the changes that need to be done on a certain content.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

The video review page is easy to use, the UI is pleasant for video reviewing, and the approvals process from a user's perspective is straightforward. I like that each comment has a check box to mark if it's done, which is helpful for editors, and it's helpful for me to know when an editor has updated an edit.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

The new project details page is unnecessarily difficult and confusing. I work with VO and video edits. I used to have a VO step and a video edit step, but now they've been smushed together. When someone uploads a video for review, they need to close the VO review and start the video review, which wasn't necessary with the old UI. Also, the columns are too narrow, and I can't adjust the column width to see the full filenames. So much unneccessary dead space (I only have 2 review steps). Basically, the project view is AWFUL. 

It's also so much time consuming and painstaking work to add or remove someone to multiple projects.

we use Filestage for voice over review and video edit reviews, and it's helpful with both of those.

Filestage has been most helpful for working with graphic designers and writers working on client content. It has been a great platform to share comments, notes and finalize approvals. Filestage is great because it accepts all different file formats from videos to audio, to graphic design. The whole team can come to one place to review any design content.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

At first, it was a little confusing for me to understand what was visible to our clients vs. what was visible to just our internal team. It was also a little difficult to share links to clients to review content.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Filestage helps us comment on design pieces that don't normally have the option to make comments or share notes on revisions. It has been a great tool for working with internal teams and our clients. Filestagetransforms how our team gets and gives feedback on creative content. Our team is able to deliver exceptional creative work with the Filestage creative collaboration platform. I have found it to be scalable and secure. It is cloud-based and easy to use. It also works with our existing tools.

replace feature which makes the latest files confusing because they are put together in one progress list column, they should only be separated or replaced correctly so that it only becomes one file

coordinating with the client to do my work in the form of editing animated videos with the client, so that it makes me more efficient and productive, it needs to be improved for the notification column so that it separates the classification based on the project being discussed.

All comments are complied together in one place where they are easily trackable. No more messy email chains searching for who said what and when. The review process is much more streamlined and review teams can work together before requesting changes.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

It is a little hard to review websites that are in the staging process. The formatting doesn't transfer over correctly sometimes so it doesn't give you an accurate display of the website. Makes it hard for detailed reviews and tweaks to be conveyed.

Disorganized review process. We can streamline reviews and have all of our projects organized into one place. Easy to switch back and forth from item to item and compare past versions.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

I like the "side-by-side comparison" feature in Filestage. It is what I use most to verify that all my edits were executed correctly. I also like that if you accidentally approve a file because you missed an edit that you just notice as you hit approve, you are given a few seconds to repeal that approval and change it to a rejection.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

I don't really have anything that I dislike about the tool.

It solves the problem of lack of collaboration on document review by providing a single version of the document for all to access and mark up with their edits.

Filestage helps our company making the link between client and designer way easier. Instead of sending email after email filestage is a place where you can organize everything clearly.

Filestage sometimes can crash or not load. That sometimes can be annoying in the rush of a project.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

I love that it helps our team be more productive and time efficient. Before Filestage, we were sending emails and attachments asking people around campus to provide edits and suggestions. Now, we have an easy way for people to collaborate, no matter what department or where they are located. SO EASY!

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

I wish it was friendlier with the Safari browser. It doesn't like website previews in Safari, so we end up using Chrome to access Filestage.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

The simplicity of design. As a designer, I look at everything a little differently and can appreciate the nuances. Especially being able to assign projects to other users separately with an automated email that follows up with the user.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

The comment section can be out of order. I work on large PDFs, and sometimes, while going in order, the next comment will shoot pages down and then 4 pages back up in the next comment. Also, sometimes the comment won't highlight and when copy editing is has highlights everywhere it becomes difficult to differentiate what the side comment is pointing towards

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Filestage has solved and saved the design team I work beside. The biggest issue I always had was members not seeing or being copied onto emails. Problem Solved

Easy to use, very intuitive and has great applications.  I wish i can use other programs to link to file stage.

The ability to review websites is amazing! I like to see the comments and comments' comments. The ability to draw on the site or the pdf (or whatever document) is amazing/

The PPTs always display incorrectly which is a severe flaw. I wish I could enter hex codes for the colored annotations and fill in colored shapes.

Having a matrix of ways to add documents, reviewers, and stages that allows me to control who's giving feedback, when they're giving it by, and on what.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

My reviewers have had many frustrating experiences with logging into their reviewer profile. It's also difficult to leave comments on excel sheets because the lines are so thin and the dots/pins are so large.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not quite sure - they seem to update the platform regularly but I haven't noticed any major differences.

1) I like the filestage beacause it feels lighter than other review portals which i used so for

3) lighter does not need high-speed internet even can review from mobile

Sometimes it shows an inaccurate pointer as I give a comment on a specific time it shows on the previous or next frame but have not faced this issue in recent days. No problem with that

yes, it gives me benefits over other portals 

Because it's very simple and light, and for my heavy files, I was worried abt the review, but filestage handles all heavy files so easily, so its very convenient and easy for artist to understand

The fact that client can give their feedback on exact parts of the videos, for more accuracy and time-saving precision.

It gets a bit slow, and it's hard to navigate when we have a lot of different projects. The search bar should be easier and more reactive.

Receiving feedback by e-mail is a mess, also, sharing content via links (such as WeTransfer) allows for content to be lost or mistaken, losing time in the process.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

Leaving comments for amends is extremely easy, especially with timestamped audio. I also like the ability to upload other versions on top of v1, keeping things tidier.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

There is no option to listen to audio faster, which as I'm working at a podcast production company adds a lot of time. I also wish there was a way to archive items rather than delete them (if there is a way, I don't have that option). I also wish you could drag and drop items between groups.

It keeps all of our project reviews in one space and helps us share them with clients so they can leave their amends.

Filestage is a very easy way to get your file, creatives, audio, and video approved by the stakeholders. It has multiple review stages where you can get the changes done and push the file to the next stage.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

There is not a major point that I dislike but still, one point I would like to highlight is there must be an option to assign the review task to a specific person or a grouping system inside the reviewer that will make the task simple and all the other reviewers will not have to receive the review prompt (emails and other update notification).

Filestage is helping us to complete the projects on time and get the approvals from the stakeholders in an easy and efficient way. It reduces the time drastically for the review process.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

Filestage is great because it accepts all different file formats from videos to audio, to graphic design. The whole team can come to one place to review any content that our company needs approval on. Easily set due dates, add people for review, and even add review steps to let final users/clients view before going live. Due dates make it easy to know when the project needs to be compleated and ensures it will be done on time.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

One thing I dislike about filestage is once projects and comments are in a new review step you can't remove them. Another aspect I don't like is that you can not drag files to a different project if you want to.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The whole team can go to one place to review everything. Before media items were scattered, now we can review powerpoints, photoshop design, and video. Now it's all in one place and super organized.

Easy touch screen for comments. Easy messaging interface to communicate with clients and also internally. Makes video editing so easy.  

Glitches with framing here and there - program will add small black bars to edge of frame.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

Loading in images can take quite a bit of time. Comments also have slow load times at points. The preview bar on the bottom was better when it was a static bar vs when you roll over it pops out.  Sometime it is glitchy and won't show the previews on the bottom of the screen.

Makes communication with clients much more seamless, faster and easier.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

An excellent approach to receiving detailed feedback on work. The artist has the option to immediately mark up your draught where changes need to be made. Since everyone can read each other's remarks, there are seldom any repetitions, and opposing viewpoints may be noted.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

Not really a massive issue. It only occasionally has a small problem while downloading. It can be a little challenging to upload with a popular name sometime, but not always. We might need to upload a file more than once. Another area where the file stage can struggle is the searching feature.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Excellent method for breaking the dreadful email-forwarding loop. Everyone has access to view all the changes and all comments, and we can't proceed until the client hits the "approved" button. Everyone may view who edited and who did not. great for fostering team responsibility.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

I work in marketing and FIlestage simplifies our feedback rounds. The tool makes it really easy to upload a document and send it to be reviewed by as few or as many people regardless of whether they have a Filestage account or not. Since comments can be added anywhere, it's easy to pinpoint where changes are needed. It's simple, straightforward, and effective.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

The backend has a lot of options which sometimes can be a little confusing. For example, the 'project' and 'folder' options and the different review steps that can be added. I must be honest and say I haven't made use of the tutorials they have and I'm sure they're quite helpful in clarifying this.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made getting documents, both short and long, so much easier in getting reviewed and approved. Before, feedback rounds were quite chaotic trying to gather all the different changes and requests that were sent via email or message or comment. Now, I can send one link to everyone involved and they can specify what they want to be modified, see others' feedback, and respond to questions. So, now I have all I need in one place.

I don't have any major dislikes, but the power-users need to understand how to set up review processes. Not really an issue.

the capacity to attach a comment to a specific section of the creative work that is being evaluated. This helps the creative team member quickly identify the area of the design I'm commenting on and saves time that would have been spent describing where I intend to make my comments.

I haven't seen anything till today which I disliked, i loved everything from UI to annotation, and it supports various files formats which we can upload, and heavy files also can be uploaded smoothly

When I produced a movie and sent it to my client for evaluation, it was untidy since they had to take notes on certain timestamps before commenting. I was unable to pinpoint exactly where on the video I wanted to apply, modify, or adjust something. However, Filestage offers a really helpful feature referred to as tools for annotating.

I love the ease of use when it comes to sharing creative with teams and clients. We are able to make internal comments, therefore following best practices when it comes to content for social media, and follow up with comments from clients to refine their view of branding and overall likes.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

Again, Filestage is extremely easy to use. The only improvement I would make is to make downloading files (in the file type you want) a little easier. It seems slightly clunky at this point, and not as intuitive as other aspects of the software.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem that Filestage solves is sharing feedback all in one place. In the past, we used PDFs or word documents, which were impossible to create clear communication channels. With Filestage, we can get fast feedback all in one place! And the ability to click directly on the image (to address specifically) is such a handy tool!

The notes left by contributors are easy to navigate, and the upload process works smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

Drag and drop file uploading got disabled a week ago for a bit, and that was frustrating. It feels like sometimes there isn't an understanding from the dev team which features people use all the time.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We create a lot of videos that need to be reviewed, QC'd, and it needs to be clear quickly and immediately whether more versions/revisions are required for a video to be 'finished'. Filestage creates an infrastructure to address these things.

Intuitive and easy to navigate. Being able to change the quality of PDFs for larger files as well as being able to pin point sections of video files is great. Comments are easier to track in UI than some others I've used.

It seems that we are constantly needing to archive projects. Not sure if versioning counts as files or if we just need to up our allotted file amount, but its become a bit of a tedious part of using the software.

Being able to organize all feedback across multiple departments in one place has been great. It also solves any issue of one person or another not being able to access or open a certain file. Makes group reviews much easier.

We can create multiple reviews for the same file at one particular time, reducing the review process time. The other feature I like the most is comparing, which enables us to view two versions of the same file.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

There should be a feature where we can communicate with the reviewers regarding the files, such as a chat window. Presently, we can only comment on the file itself. There should be a chat window where we can communicate and ping the reviewer for approvals if they miss out on some creatives.

Filestage is reducing the review time for creatives; we can upload multiple files for approval on different review steps and can request reviews from different departments at once.

Great way to get specific feedback on work. The client has the ability to annotate your draft directly where revisions need to be made. Everyone sees everyone elses comments so there are seldom duplicates and counterpoints can be noted.

It would be even better if it were free. Seriously though, I have been asked by Filestage (yes they really reach out to their customers for direct feedback) for ways to improve the platform and I cant think of anything that I could change to make it better.

Great way to kill the dreaded email- forwarding cycle. all the changes can be seen by everyone, every comment can be seen by everyone and not until the client clicks on the "approved" button can we move forward. Everyone gets to see who has made edits and who has not. Great for team accountability.

A very user-friendly platform that allows you to quickly and easily review documents of all types, from PDFs to videos. It has significantly streamlined our review and proofing process. I love that you can look back at older projects to see what was approved and who approved them.

It may be a user error, but email alerts sometimes don't come through. However, it is easy to go into the platform, especially using single sign-on, and find the project you are looking for.

Filestage makes it really quick and simple to see what feedback is reffering for both video and still images, the layout makes it easy to jump from project to project.

there were a few features taken out in the last update which made it really difficult to upload versions of work, such as V2 versions and in general harder UI to function.

The ability to leave a comment attached to a particular area in the creative item being reviewed. This saves time that would have been spent describing where I mean to be commenting on, and saves time for the creative team member in figuring out what part of the design I'm commenting on.

I seem to get regularly logged out of the system and signing back in can be a slight hassle. I also find the back end a little unintuitive to navigate.

It solves the issue of allowing many parties to review and interact in a simple interface about creative items. Cuts down on needless messages and emails by situating discussion directly near the features of the design being discussed, with everyone looped in and looking at the same things. A great coordination and communication tool.

I really liked how they manage to condense every review and revision very easily on the platform. It made it easier and made it very convenient to organize and consolidate comments and points of change in the materials we have been discussing. **What do you dislike about Filestage?**

It's only nit-picking but I dislike how every upload or version upload, the list gets refreshed by the most recent one. It doesn't retain the order of materials and just notifies what file has been updated for the revisions. The server's kinda slow too when refreshing and updating.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidation of reviews and edits. It's just made it easier for the designer and the reviewer where to get and acquire the files needed. It also made organizing the files much easier.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

It's a great platform for reviewing files with a team. Intuitive and clear, and keeps projects mostly organized.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

Organization within projects could be better, load times between versions and upload times could be faster, ideally would have more integrated project management.

Would love to see unchecked/unresolved comments from a previous round be carried over to the current round.

**What problems is Filestage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a central location for a team to review a file, and a central location for people to ask specific questions. It saves time and removes lots of extra communication.

**What do you like best about Filestage?**

The facility to leave comments and request changes in the production.
The organization of the production by projects.
The possibility to add reviewers at each stage of the project.

**What do you dislike about Filestage?**

There is no dedicated app for mobile devices. Constantly have to refresh the page to continue. Sometimes you get stuck uploading a video. Often it is not so clear what role the reviewers play.

How to manage revisions in a long production of videos and audios
Having all the production of a complex project in one place
Always have the latest version of the videos
