**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

I can create different groups and schedules for each of the groups, making it more precise to measure productivity as a group, and then I can focus on a specific employee. None of the employees where it was installed have noticed any difference in the performance of the equipment. It works to provide more precise feedback with data, helping to detect problems with employees in terms of understanding or prioritization. It operates transparently, meaning the user doesn't have to do anything. But once the user understands, it is a great help to know if they are being productive.

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

At the moment, everything seems fine; in more than a year of use, there have been no problems. I would like it to have a lock so that the user cannot deactivate it; it has happened a couple of times.

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For now, just that the user cannot deactivate it.

There is actually an option that you can use for your employees. If you go to the Settings -> Account -> Employee permissions, there is a button that enables or disables the option for users to log out/quit the app. We hope this can be of help!

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

I am able to track the hours I work on each customer’s projects

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

1. There is de facto no iOS app, since it prohibits long passwords, so I can’t login to it (despite being able to login no problem on the Windows app); whereas I want to be able to log project time on the move when I don’t have my laptop switched on.

2. On Windows it can only take screenshots every 5 minutes which is WAY too long! Every 5 seconds would be my preference, or even better a screen recording.

3. I used DeskTime 6 years ago and I believe at the time you could edit your application title logs but now it looks like you can’t.

4. The new interface is somewhat clunky, with the same information visible on multiple different pages, sometimes with different information mixed in.

5. It is very difficult to know when a project is started because the system tray icon for idle and running are too similar; they should probably be different colours or flash when idle. This means that I often forget to start or stop a project.

6. When idle it continues taking screenshots and logging application titles, unless you enable private time; whereas I want to disable screenshots and tracking on idle. This means that when I show my customers their report, they’re seeing my YouTube videos etc in their log - not good!

I am highly likely to switch to a different company when I have time to try another.

I am able to accurately bill my customers for their projects

We wanted to address your first and last points specifically. We've forwarded the information regarding the passwords on the iOS app to our developer team to look into this. And regarding your last point, DeskTime isn't tracking any data during idle time. Please note that idle time is when no actions have been made on the keyboard or mouse for more than 3 minutes (the idle time period could be longer, depending on account settings). If you're using your computer, but don't want to be tracked, you can either start private time or quit the app completely. You can also set specific Tracking times in Settings > Team Members > click on the user > Tracking days. That way, DeskTime will track only within those set times.

Nothing we have get completely bad experience

DeskTime renewed our annual subscription without consent and charged Rs 1,23,199, up from our previous price of Rs 73,920 — a 67% increase with no notice.

We contacted their support for a refund or price adjustment, but they refused without any valid explanation.

This is unethical billing, and the lack of accountability is unacceptable. Would not recommend DeskTime to any business that values transparency or fair customer service.

they only response well till your invoice paid once you will paid they will decline all of your request or support

One things i have oberserved is that it works very in windows system but in linux based like ubuntu is lacking the bit.

It solved the problem of monitoring the task and it's timing and using this user can get detail report of the activity throughout day, weelk or month its work very well.

What I like the most about DeskTime is its accuracy in tracking time and monitoring employee productivity based on the parameters we, as administrators, define. It captures screenshots regularly—no matter how many monitors the employee uses—which adds an extra layer of visibility and accountability.

What I don't like as much is that the reports can be a bit confusing and definitely have room for improvement, both visually and statistically. It would also be great if there were an option to record short videos of employees' work sessions for even deeper insights.

With the Desktime our time traking work is very easier. and accurate. When we give the time record project wise its possible in a minutes. Our whole team is likes desktime working beacuse its not human related work so they are not worry about the error.

WE dont know anybody dislike the desktime working. but some of the common features which we need form desktime which is important. like Attendance report. we need reports more strong.

Since I started using DeskTime, I've noticed a big difference in how I organize my days. It allows me to see where I spend my time and easily spot distractions or tasks that take longer than expected. Thanks to its reports and automatic tracking, I can plan better, prioritize what’s important, and stay focused. It's a very useful tool if you're looking to improve your productivity and get a clear overview of your daily work. Highly recommended!

Overall, I'm very satisfied with DeskTime, but if I had to point out something to improve, it would be the accuracy of the automatic activity tracking. Sometimes it classifies certain apps or websites as "unproductive" when I'm actually using them for work-related tasks. It would be great if category customization were a bit more intuitive or automated. That said, it's still a very useful tool

Since I started using DeskTime, I have a much clearer understanding of how I distribute my time throughout the day. It helps me easily identify when I’m most productive and when I tend to get distracted, allowing me to adjust my habits and focus better on what truly matters.

Desktime is very userfriendly and also me and my team can manage time and workflow, and mainly as project lead i can measure the productivity of my employees with its in dept application usage details such as which all sites they have visted in browser and other applications.

The only thing i have noticed that Desktime cannot be started from system start by default, i need to start manually or configure it in startup application, it there is an option to run this application on startup it will be very useful

I am a IT admin as well as a project lead, Its my job to monitor and manage my employees which mainly are working from home, with desktime we are able to measure thier productivity and monitor their activity on worktime and can evaluate ther performance based on their time efficiency.

We are a software development company that caters to the international market. Qualhon Informatics partners with clients all across the world and DeskTime has contributed to our consistent, high-quality results by helping us oversee all operations efficiently. It has sufficiently streamlined the workflow by helping us have a clear view of the team’s productivity with logged hours, eliminate distractions by supervising work patterns and keep track of the progress of different projects. 

Managing a remote or hybrid work culture has become easier with DeskTime as it introduced more transparency among the team. The automated time tracking, monitored app usage, URL and project tracking lets the team be more accountable for the way they spend their workday.

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

DeskTime is a boon for companies but could be a bane too if not implemented properly. It’s very important that the team is clear about the purpose of the implementation of such tracking tools and does not develop a sense of being micromanaged. There has to be mutual trust among the team and the company to use the valuable insights and features of the tool constructively.  

A noticeable concern with DeskTime is that it still lacks advanced AI based detection or anomaly tracking features that could identify any manipulative behaviors of the user. Better detection mechanisms are required to check for any cheat tools or ways that may be used to mislead the company about the activity logs.

Talking about features, DeskTime may also benefit by expanding the integrations so there’s even better monitoring across platforms. Additionally, some syncing issues with the idle time detector can be checked. Besides these points, DeskTime is a useful tool and works in our favor.

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Qualhon Informatics operates with a global team. DeskTime has significantly helped solve the problem of time and task tracking of employees working remotely across different time zones. We get clear insights into the working hours of each team member without having to disrupt the workflow. 

Other benefits that we have experienced since implementing DeskTime are: 

Performance Insights: We can easily track activity logs and evaluate productive time to identify which team member’s performance is the best and which one needs more support.

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

Desktime was a lifesaver for me, As an IT manager i was having hard time managing my team which were mostly working from home and our productivty in tasks were going down, After implimenting Desktime on every team members now iam able to list measure productivity as well as reporting feature are top noth notch which helps me to evaluate performance for every members without micromanaging. And for platform desktime integrated with out any issue and running smoothly.

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

the Startup feature on desktime is not there while installing the application, our team needed manually to configure and moving mouse and keyboard endlessly also approves as productive behaviour.

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Desktime solved most of my problem by managing productivity for ou team with the time tracking and applicatoin usage feature, now we are started using desktime for project management and task sheduling which i beleave is a great feeature

The only thing I find a bit frustrating is that I'm not entirely sure about the difference between "productive time" and DeskTime time.
I find it a bit confusing, and I think more clarity in how these metrics are defined and calculated would really improve the overall experience.

That when they watch videos on the PC it doesn't count, but maybe I don't have it configured.

Eliminates paperwork related to every day assistance records, off time approvals, helps to monitor activity of remote workers, IT resource usage policy compliance and off times
Good reporting tools.

Provides too much detail to employees in their personal dashboard, many settings to customize.
Time zone difference with customer support is a bit of a hurdle

I do not like that when I remove employee I need to remove it in 2 different places.
And I do not receive invoices in DFP anymore so I need to always go and download it for accounting , previously it was easy just forward it.

The same account runs on any computer with the same email login. As a manager I can see what my employees worked on. Absence calendar and manual input of the offline time . Exports and mostly, how it automatically runs in the background. Creating work schedules, departments a individual settings for each employee. Easy set up by employees without any need of an IT input.

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

Sometimes it does not log time, it goes offline without any obvious cause and we usually find out only after a whole day. 
We use DeskTime to track presence, vacations etc. and what I would appreciate is a possibility of entering only a half a day leave/vacation. The same with doctor´s leave; sometimes it is only 2 hours and maybe I have not discovered a feature but I cannot properly calculate time at work for the whole months and the number of hours on doctor´s leave. 
We need a monthly report for the purpose of calculating wages as well as for an inspection of the social security. The export must clearly state number of hours at work and in case of flexible hours, the average. The average time spent at work should consider also situations where there is a half a day vacation. Currently I calculate it manually into an exported table from DeskTime.
I miss notifications when anything awaits my approval. Not by email as that is annoying but a pop up type notification.
The graphical part under My DeskTime with effectiveness, productivity etc. is to me annoying and not useful as not all employees work 100% on the computer and in general it seems irrelevant to me at least.
There are many features we cannot use due to the nature of our services but the pro version for example does not include the absence calendar which seems to me as a basic feature. Maybe more variable pricing plans.

We got this implemented within 2 days of signing up. The most important feature for us is Time Tracking and department wise APP/website  mapping.

We never contacted teh customer care as we never faced any issue at all.

The calendar syncing is not real time, it gets update after 2-3 hours sometime.

Time tracking is quite reliable, with very usable metrics collected for each user or team.
Each user has his own dashboard view where they can see their own metrics and a ranking on the team and company.
The simple knowledge of what is being tracked by the software has been a good insentive to increase productivity.
It creates a positive competition between coworkers

It is not very convinient to need each user to create his account and enter it at setup time, so basically each workstation has to be setup individually, it would be great if it could take the system logged in user for tracking instead.
Time tracking / app tracking seems very precise, however sometimes there is a delay on pushing the data to the server, so you can't depend on it for real time monitoring, however by EOD you do get reliable metrics.

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

Desktime is a tool which very helpful in emplyee monitoring, Activity Monitoring, Attandence records, WFH, Ease to access, Easy to Implement, Good Customer support to chat.
I love the Integration with Google calendar.
I am using it from last 3 year and very happy to have it, It is making the productivity control easy.

Nothing to dislike in Desktime, It's very good tool.

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

I learned about DeskTime a few years ago, when I was doing freelance work. I wanted to know the time I dedicate to each project. At the same time, I also believe that you should not dedicate more time than agreed on projects.
The level of configuration that DeskTime allows is perfect for me. I can see how I use my time, how productive I am and the number of hours I dedicate to each thing. It helps me keep track of how I am doing and to set limits.

It is easy to install and very smooth with all the browsers and software. It never froze.
I turn on the computer and it is there. I check it once in a while every day without getting obsessed.

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

I do not dislike anything about the software. 
Maybe it should incorporate some gamification elements to help you stay focus. Or simply a pomodoro technique. This would be interesting!

**What problems is DeskTime solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very useful to track employees time. In my case, I track my own time to be able to have more control over my work.
It gives me clear visuals on how I am doing every day, what software I am using, how focused I am, etc. 
I know that at the end of the week I want not to exceed a certain number of hours but I also set myself some goals of productivity % (time focused on certain apps / total time).
I have used it for more than 7 years.

**What do you like best about DeskTime?**

This is very helpful. For checking  the desktime.It is very easy to use and easy to implement as it directly wants the login crediantials for loging in and it also provide many number of features as Customer Support , Ease of integration .In my company we use the desktime very frequently as all the employees have desktime in there PC.

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

Refreshing rate in low,whenever i refresh the page.

For tracking the production time and desktime of a person

What I like best about Desk Time is the ability to monitor my staff from remote locations.

**What do you dislike about DeskTime?**

One downside to the application is, users have the ability to turn-off the application. This has happened a few instances however, I was able to address the team-member and request to enable the application.

DeskTime assists us monitor productivity, track time spent on tasks, and identify workflow inefficiencies. It provides valuable information, which supports better team management and accountability.
