**What do you like best about Dayforce?**

I am very pleased with the process of running payroll.  We do not use Dayforce time clocks but our own imports from all of our store locations and are able to run successful payruns and imports.  The system is very user friendly and built around our needs

**What do you dislike about Dayforce?**

I am very unhappy with the inconsistency of dayforce support answers.  We are funding that we get multiple answers for the same question.

Concept of an enterprise, all in one solution is enticing, however, does not deliver to promise.

Business model is flawed for customers. Everything costs additional dollars to implement, to alter, to modify, or to fix.

**What do you like best about Dayforce?**

Nothing. There is nothing special to like about this product.

**What do you dislike about Dayforce?**

Everything. You would think our company was working for Dayforce, not the other way around. We had to provide the data for conversion to them, which is normal. What is not normal, is that they REQUIRED us to submit it in their formats. Days and days of work put into this, and even with the specifics mapped out for them, it was still WAY incorrect on the test site. Then there is testing - which they seem to do very little on their own. We had to test the data, submit it to them and they would get it partially right and call it a day.

**What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you are with ADP, considering Dayforce to save money, stop. The extra you may be spending with ADP will make up for what you will be spending in your employee's overtime just trying to handle this monstrosity enough to get your employees paid. I cannot say I still have the peace of mind ADP gave me as far as compliance and reliability.

**What do you like best about Dayforce?**

This software provides you with a plethora of user management tools like HR, Payroll, and Capital management, etc. It also saves time by giving us a seamless experience managing our workforce and resources. The best feature I liked about the software is that it enables the employees to manage common-Self and hence increases their productivity and helps them overcome their time management barriers.

**What do you dislike about Dayforce?**

Not able to carve a niche among its competitors, there are other products available as well in the market such as Hubstaff which are capable of giving more than Ceridian within the same cost. Hence, overall it is a good product fit for our use, however, it could be improved if it doesn't involve the cost factor.

**Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:**

Please go for this product if you have a large operations team and fewer people in managerial roles. Perfect for SMALL TO MEDIUM Sized Companies and for startups.

**What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving a multitude of problems with Ceridian Dayforce, like Payroll management, employee management, work and task force allocations, Idea meeting, and user research management. It also helps us to drive our HR team with Core HR duties and responsibilities.

Great for managing availability, such as requests for time off, shift swaps and give seats.

Account creation is not accessible over mobile.

**What do you like best about Dayforce?**

Having a system which services all our HR, payroll and performance management needs in one place. It means that we have one source of data, which helps us to manage our headcount and allows managers to view accurate data on their teams.

**What do you dislike about Dayforce?**

The LMS system is managed through a third party and we have experienced some challenges with the system, however, we can't fault the service we receive to manage the issues as they arise. We are still experiencing some problems with the annual leave entitlement.

**Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:**

My advice would be to appoint a good internal project manager to work with the Ceridian project team and to plan time into your BAU schedule to ensure you have the resources to meet the project plan and schedule. I would also ensure your data is accurate before you transfer it to the new system.

Having one source of data has been an issue for us for a long time and providing management information to our line managers was a lengthy manual process. Our managers are now able to access data through the dashboards, which is a great added benefit.

Information is very easy to find and access and is very user-friendly in terms of being hassle free. Good platform for any size organization. Will definitely recommend it.

Being able to access all the information that I need in one setting and not having to use multiple programs and or screens to look at something really quickly or access a specific piece of information

I really dont have much that I dislike or I should say there is nothing that I dislike so far . I have been only using it for a short period of time but have not had any problems so far

**What do you like best about Dayforce?**

I like the user-friendly functionality of Dayforce. As a user I like being able to see my accrued vacation/PTO in realtime. I also like the ability to view and print my check stubs.

**What do you dislike about Dayforce?**

As a user there are any areas of Dayforce that I necessarily dislike. It's simple and multifunctional. I was even able to print my W2 from the portal.

The benefits I've realized with Dayforce is the ability to view my PTO bank as well as payroll information. I can also update my W4 information via the portal which is wonderful.

The software is intuitive and pretty easy to use, especially for employees. For administrators, it really helps to manage the entire employee life cycle and all of the information you need is right at your fingertips.

**What do you dislike about Dayforce?**

If you have to do any type of development that requires interacting with "Professional Services" - add a new legal entity, create a file feed or interface, troubleshoot a custom report, etc - be prepared to have your time wasted. I have found this service to be slow, bureaucratic, inconsistent and just something I would like to avoid.

Dayforce has allowed us to roll 5 separate systems into one platform. We have experienced a cost savings as well as streamlined our internal processes.

I like that it is easy to navigate and very organized in terms of putting all info together. Easy to navigate your calendar, pay period, holidays, position, etc.

Most often, it's hard to log in, the code takes time to be sent.

**What do you like best about Dayforce?**

The talent modules (Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, Compensation) are very easy to use and have the functions to meet our business needs.

**What do you dislike about Dayforce?**

Overall, the tool works well. However, there are some areas for improvement:

Security Design: Location Access is set at the user level instead of the role level, so that limits the control you have over what is displayed. The tool is setup with a retail-like setting in mind, so if you have multiple departments at one location, the Location Access approach does not really work.

Reporting: The Reporting tool is good, but we frequently have to go to Dayforce Support for help to get the coding just right. There is not a good delivered employee data change report, so this was a big issue for us. Additionally, report distribution is not very robust. For example, you can't send a report to a distribution group or email or shared drive. All of these would be very helpful improvements.

Workflows: These are surprisingly challenging to setup correctly, and many forms you would expect are not available or need customization. For example, the delivered bonus form will not route to the manager for approval and it displays the bonus on the timesheet - not an ideal way for an employee to find out that they are getting a bonus. Getting a bonus form that routes for manager approval costs $2800 and even then it will not route directly to the payroll module for pay. It has to be manually entered by a payroll admin. Similarly, there can only be one workflow attached to an Internal Candidate Hire workflow so if you have a complex business approval process, you have a problem. Finally, you cannot add ad hoc approvers on a one off basis. We had this functionality in our old system and miss it. Oddly, the workflow in Recruiting is much better, so hopefully the people that designed that will fix HR.

We have logged lots of product enhancement suggestions, so hopefully over the next few years we will see improvements.

**Recommendations to others considering Dayforce:**

Be sure to compare all of your requirements with the demonstrated functionality. Make sure that the sales team demonstrates that they can do what you need, particularly the hard scenarios. Record the meetings so that you have backup if the implementation team finds that they cannot meet the requirements.

We purchased the Pre-Project Transition Consulting, the Training Consultant and the Client-Side Project Management Consultant. In retrospect, we did not see value in any of these. I would instead recommend hiring a third party consulting firm to assist you and to be your advocate during the project. We did this half way through, and it was worth every penny.

**What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dayforce allowed us to bring our 2 main business units into the same HR and Payroll system. We now have better reporting and can standardize processes.

That it has one centralized place for paperwork when on boarding new employees or putting a new policy in place. I do like that the steps for onboarding are able to be laid out clearly

Very bad UX and the platform was super confusing and not intuitive. For example, we were supposed to take an anti racism class but in another platform and it took me to it anyway and I didn't get credit.

**What do you like best about Dayforce?**

Dayforce is a relatively simple web app which my company primarily uses to record our days off. It's a straight-forward interface, and has other features like information about earnings or related forms. I do like how it will email our manager for approval about requested time off, and provide an interface for his approval. It makes the whole process very streamlined.

**What do you dislike about Dayforce?**

My biggest qualm with Dayforce, is that its default calendar interface starts with Saturday. It's not how one typically looks at a calendar, and means we have to triple check dates when selecting.

**What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool is doing what we expect - it has a clean interface and allows us to request and communicate time off in a clear and effective manner. Since it's recording the dates, there's no issue losing track.

**What do you like best about Dayforce?**

Ceridian was an easy enough ATS to learn how to use as a recruiting function. It was straightforward enough and easy to post positions which can be easily uploaded onto a career page.

It was very clunky to use. When a job posting would be uploaded onto a career site, the post looked very rudimentary and didn't look pleasing from a viewer standpoint. It was hard to separate paragraphs and came out looking like one block of text. Dayforce featured a lot of clicking to get to multiple screens. It was cumbersome to create reqs and post positions because there were so many screens involved

**What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dayforce is a cheaper alternative to some of the larger ATS's (like iCIMS or Workday). It's a good tool for smaller businesses or budget-conscious folks because it doesn't have the bells and whistles the larger ATS's do. It's fairly straight foward and a good entry point to ATS systems for folks who don't have much of a recruiting background.

**What do you like best about Dayforce?**

Ceridian Dayforce has an easy to look at interface and is relatively simple in doing what it is supposed to do - help keeps track of an employees time. I have not used any of their competitors.

**What do you dislike about Dayforce?**

The app has to be downloaded onto the employee's phone. What if they don't have space for anymore apps on their phone? It also required an internet connection to login and sign in for a shift. If I wasn't able to get online, I wasn't able to login and sign in to make sure I was getting paid for the hours I was at work. This would lead me to sometimes being late for a shift or having to contact my manager who then had to contact other higher up individuals in the organization to figure out how we could make sure I was compensated for my time at work properly.

I found more negatives than positives with Ceridian Dayforce as an employee. I have not used as an employer and I don't know that I ever would based on my experience using it as an employee

The thing I like best about using Dayforce is that I can open it in Google Chrome. It is easy to use and helps me track my time at work. It also allows me to submit time off requests.

when an organization has various of wages/schedules for employees for every months, it doesn't give an accurate data time to time.

There are many facets to Dayforce. You can track many things as well as ensuring that each employee is punched in correctly or you can make alterations to correct any mistakes.

there isnt anything that I dislike at the moment

So far Dayforce allows for a lot of amenities so it seems quite beneficial for us at this point.

seamlessly being able to track more employees with out having to just click on one employee at a time.

**What do you like best about Dayforce?**

This comes from the standpoint of one who used it, not administrated it, implemented it, managed it. It's a fairly clean interface and as promised quick and easy to get in and complete payroll requirements.

**What do you dislike about Dayforce?**

Perhaps a bit too off-the-shelf, but that could be user misunderstanding for what is customizable and what is built-in features.

**What problems is Dayforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits management is particularly helpful (though again, this comes more from conversations overheard rather than having the challenge of managing that one particularly myself).

Dayforce is very easy to use and I can access my work schedule. I can request time off and see my sick pay and holiday hours.

It's not easy to read shift notes in the small print.

The software and reporting is customizable and should lead to great automation

Implementation was challenging, and we are still facing a number of issues with the settings. Sometimes things will work for months and then randomly stop working for no reason. The support team is slow to respond.
