## Dash0 Reviews
  ### 1. Sleek, OTel-Native Observability with Fast UI and Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael E. | Head of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 is a high-performance platform that stands out for being truly OTel-native. The support is excellent—friendly and direct—making the setup process smooth and efficient.

The tool is fast and features a nice user interface that avoids the clutter typical of legacy monitors. We use it primarily for logs and traces, and it clearly takes advantage of OpenTelemetry to create a seamless connection between data points. This architecture makes all signals very explorable, allowing for quick navigation and faster debugging without the friction of proprietary silos.

Verdict: A sleek, responsive, and future-proof choice for modern observability.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

It is worth noting that the tool is still in heavy development. While the team is clearly trying their best and moving quickly, not all convenience features are present yet compared to older, more bloated competitors. However, the stability and speed of the core features more than make up for the current gaps in the "nice-to-have" category.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For an engineering team without a dedicated DevOps department, Dash0 removes the operational burden of 'tool-chaining' by providing a unified, OTel-native environment that automatically correlates logs and traces, allowing us to maintain full visibility into our services without needing a specialist to manage complex infrastructure or proprietary agents.

  ### 2. Dash0 impresses with a focus on OpenTelemetry, fast UI, strong support, and full cost control.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

After a long search and testing several observability solutions, Dash0 has emerged as the clear winner for our team. The decisive point from the beginning was the consistent focus on OpenTelemetry. No ballast from proprietary agents or complicated workarounds. Vendor lock-in is now a thing of the past for us.

The platform itself is impressively fast and the user interface is clean and intuitive. Instead of having to struggle through overloaded menus or complex query languages, our team can pinpoint problems in no time thanks to the intelligent linking of logs and traces. This greatly accelerates our debugging.

Agent0 is extremely helpful even in its early stages, simplifying error analysis and definitely saving time when debugging or creating new dashboards.

I must particularly highlight the support. You don't feel like a customer here, but like a partner. The team is extremely responsive, competent, and genuinely interested in leading us to success. Feedback is not only heard but often implemented in the form of new features after a short time.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

One must fairly say that Dash0 is still quite a young platform. Here and there, some comfort functions or niche features are missing, which one is accustomed to from the big, long-established market leaders. For example, the dashboards could use more customization options, and the rights management is still a bit too simple for a company-wide rollout.

However, I must immediately qualify that: The development pace of the team is phenomenal. Many small things that we initially missed were delivered after just a few weeks. You can feel that the platform is actively growing, and the core functionality is absolutely stable and more than ready for productive use. Therefore, the current gaps are more like small blemishes for us rather than real blockers.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 has finally unified our fragmented monitoring landscape. We no longer had to juggle multiple tools for logs, metrics, and traces and laboriously correlate the data manually. Now we have a central point of contact that gives us a complete view of our systems.

The greatest benefit for us is the drastically reduced time to resolve issues (MTTR). Our developers are more productive and less frustrated because they can find the cause of an error in minutes instead of hours. At the same time, we have reduced our costs and laid the technical foundation for the future, as we are now fully relying on the open standard OpenTelemetry. It is a solution that works with us, not against us.

  ### 3. Dash0 Delivers Powerful, User-Friendly Observability with Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ezra n. | Senior DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 has consistently proven to be an outstanding observability platform for our team. The customer support is particularly noteworthy for its promptness and effectiveness, frequently surpassing our expectations. The platform is rich in features yet remains user-friendly, with an interface that makes it easy to visualize and analyze metrics, traces, and errors without unnecessary complexity. I appreciate how quickly Dash0 evolves, regularly rolling out meaningful updates and new features that address practical monitoring challenges. It’s clear that the team listens closely to user feedback and is dedicated to improving the overall experience. Overall, Dash0 strikes an impressive balance between robust functionality, ease of use, and responsive support.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

I haven't found anything to dislike about Dash0 so far. Any minor issues I have are already planned to be addressed in the upcoming roadmap.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 has enabled us to centralize observability across our services, removing the hassle of juggling multiple tools. With its unified dashboard for metrics, traces, and logs, identifying and resolving performance issues has become much more straightforward and efficient. Since adopting Dash0, our mean time to resolution (MTTR) has decreased, and both our engineering and product teams now benefit from enhanced visibility. The platform also removes the need to manually piece together data from Prometheus, Grafana, and other sources—everything is seamlessly integrated, responsive, and actionable in a single location. This has led to quicker debugging, deeper insights, and greater confidence in our deployments across all environments.

  ### 4. No Vendor lock in and great cost control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin C. | Staff Site Reliability Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 has been very responsive to any questions or concerns I have had. I was able to move all of our monitoring over to it, which has saved me a significant amount of money. The ability to see costs as they occur is a game changer in this field, where you typically only find out what it costs you at the end of the month. They are quick to add new features and have a growing list of integrations, which makes implementation easier.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

The dashboards are a little limiting, but I get why they are using it as it is open source and can be easily deployed with an app using gitops. However, they connect to Grafana as a prometheus datasource so you can copy the promQL and put in Grafana if needed.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 is monitoring our traces and logging allowing us to alert on issues in either area in one place which helps us create a single source of trusth

  ### 5. Finally, Observability That Works With Us — Not Against Us

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sascha L. | DevOps Chapter Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 stands out by fully embracing open standards, which makes integration incredibly smooth and future-proof. The platform is genuinely easy to use, from onboarding to daily operations.
One of the biggest advantages is their pay-per-use model — it’s transparent, fair, and unlike anything competitors offer.

What really sets Dash0 apart is their strong customer connection: support, sales, and even the development team are highly responsive and genuinely invested in our success. It feels like a partnership rather than a vendor relationship.
We’re also excited about the feature roadmap; the direction is promising, and we’re looking forward to seeing upcoming capabilities land in the product.

Overall
Dash0 delivers an innovative pricing model, a modern architecture, and an exceptional customer experience. We’re excited to see it grow — and to grow with it.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Dash0 is still relatively new to the market, so naturally not everything is fully developed yet. While not feature-complete, it’s already stable and usable in production, which is impressive for a young platform.
The main thing we’re missing right now is Terraform resources to better integrate the platform into our infrastructure-as-code workflows.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 helps us address several long-standing challenges in our monitoring landscape. As we move away from a monolithic, vendor-locked solution, Dash0 enables us to standardize on open, vendor-neutral observability using OpenTelemetry and structured logging across all squads. This gives us a unified, future-proof monitoring foundation without being tied to proprietary agents or formats.

The platform also solves our need for cost transparency and control. With Dash0’s pay-per-use model, we finally get clear visibility into what we consume and can scale observability without unpredictable licensing. This directly supports our cost-monitoring goals and helps teams make informed decisions about their telemetry data.

Operationally, Dash0 reduces friction by providing a clean, intuitive experience for working with logs, metrics, and traces. Teams can build dashboards, explore data, and configure alerts without unnecessary complexity — which speeds up adoption and helps us shift responsibility for monitoring closer to the product teams.

  ### 6. Reliable, Seamless, and User-Friendly Tool for Start-ups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marie S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 made our move to OpenTelemetry a lot smoother than we expected. Since it’s OTel-native, the setup was simple and we avoided the vendor lock-in issues we used to run into with legacy tools.

The platform itself is really easy to use. Our engineers don’t have to wrestle with a complicated UI or learn a new query language—they can just dive in, find what they need, and actually get to the root cause of issues faster.

Another big plus: our observability costs have gone down. Pricing is transparent and based on ingestion, so we’re not getting hit with surprise fees or stuck in confusing licensing tiers anymore. All in all, Dash0 has been a solid move for our team

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

There isn’t much to dislike about it. If anything, it could be that some of the documentation could go a bit deeper for advanced use cases. The platform itself works as expected and we didn't have issues with it, but occasionally we’ve had to reach out to support for extra guidance (as we are new). That said, their team has been responsive and very helpful whenever we’ve needed them

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 helped us make the jump to OpenTelemetry without the headaches. We were stuck with legacy tools that created vendor lock-in and made observability both complicated and expensive. With Dash0’s OTel-native platform, we finally have flexibility and control over our data.

Our engineers can quickly get to the root cause of issues instead of fighting with clunky UIs or query languages, which saves time and reduces frustration. On top of that, the transparent ingestion-based pricing has lowered our observability costs and removed the stress of surprise fees. The result is a faster, more efficient team and a setup that feels built for the long term.

  ### 7. Easy observability leveraging OpenTelemetry and other open standards

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lennart K. | Senior Software Engineer, Logistics and Supply Chain, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 provides great observability on top of OpenTelemtry data. The app provides meaningful and easy to use drilldown features to quickly find problems. To setup Dash0 for a kubernetes cluster can be as simple as installing a helm chart that contains their own operator. This allowed us to quickly get data from our workloads into Dash0. Since Dash0 s built on top of OpenTelemetry, if you are already using this standard it is really easy to switch between products like Dash0 and others that support this open standard. For certain supported runtimes you can also enable auto instrumentation, which will provide some OTel data without the need to change anything in the code / image. Everything is well documented to get you started. We've also experienced great customer support. The people behind Dash0 are really receptive to feedback. We have had some great talks; helping us out with some questions, providing some new feature or configuration options, but also talks about our experience with the current product as well as hearing our thoughts on new ideas that Dash0 had been working on. Different roles within our company have been happy with the Dash0 integration, stating a nice and intuitive UI/UX.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Dash0 is quite a new product, so there might be some features that you are used to from the already established observability tools that are not there (yet) in Dash0, but based on our experience with their fast delivery of quality changes, I'm sure that will not be for long.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All our observability needs are met by using Dash0. We get a nice coupling between logs and traces and with drilldown features we can quickly find problems. Dashboards and alerts are available to help us analyze application metrics.

  ### 8. Use Dash0 as the observability backend for our e-commerce platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Industrial Automation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Very fast analysis of large amounts of data, very helpful for testing or also for incident handling on the production system. Transparent cost management. Good customer support.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

In my opinion, the Resource Map is often very confusing and, as far as I know, cannot be customized. A few customization options or custom maps (keyword NagVis, only better) would be very nice.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not exactly sure what is meant by this question "What is a problem? Dash0 Solving and how do you benefit from it?"
A "problem" is that the department that pays for Dash0 has to make a separate billing every month. A payment model that allows for a quarterly or semi-annual payment would save us a lot of overhead.
Additionally, the user/permission management should be expanded. As long as we only use Dash0 internally within the team, the current options are sufficient. However, if we want to use it across the entire company, I see big problems in this area because there are hardly any options to manage users and permissions.

  ### 9. Effortless Monitoring with Powerful Filtering

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul H. | Full-Stack Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

I really appreciate Dash0's filtering features, which are a standout for me. With every attribute available for use in searches, the platform allows me to think less about the structure while building software because I know I can filter on any attribute as needed. This capability significantly streamlines our process by enabling us to quickly identify issues within our platform, aiding in quicker response times for our own customers and fostering a better understanding of our platform’s operations. Additionally, the straightforward setup was facilitated by their Kubernetes operator, which handled most of the complex tasks, making the transition process seamless. They provided not only the standard dashboards but also templates that aligned with our needs. Their help during the migration was invaluable. I also love that I can fully recommend Dash0, having already shared my positive experiences with friends and colleagues. This endorsement holds weight as I truly value how Dash0 supports us in focusing on adding value to our customers consistently.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

The mobile support for Dash0 is quite limited. It's difficult to use the platform from a mobile phone because most screens are too wide, requiring the phone to be tilted for proper viewing. Additionally, it would be beneficial to view dashboards and logs directly from the phone, which is currently not possible.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Dash0 to quickly identify platform issues, enhancing our customer service and internal awareness. Its filtering features allow me to efficiently monitor and address problems, freeing me to focus on creating value for customers.

  ### 10. Dash0 a observability solutution that saves your time, money and boosts productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael P. | Solution Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 has enabled us to connect traces, metrics, logs, and business KPIs, making it much easier for our team to monitor and understand how technical data relates to key business indicators.

With this integration, we are now able to analyze traces within minutes and quickly determine whether an error affects a single customer or multiple customers. This capability has been extremely valuable in helping us assess whether an issue requires immediate attention or can be addressed at a later time.

One of the features we value most is the ability to snip out spans on the heatmap, which lets us drill down into traces in just seconds.

We have successfully onboarded three development teams within two to three weeks, and they now use Dash0 on a daily basis.

Most of the effort involved in introducing Dash0 was focused on the initial zero-code instrumentation with Open Telemetry. Dash0 supported us both on-site and through two phone calls, offering recommendations on how to get more out of the solution and how to collect the right Open Telemetry attributes.

Since Dash0 is built on well-defined standards such as PromQL and Perses, the implementation and integration process was straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Initially, we noticed that some features were missing, such as the ability to define alerts with Terraform. However, this missing feature was implemented a few weeks ago.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we introduced Dash0, we had been running a homegrown observability solution for over five years. After switching to Dash0, we were able to focus more on gathering useful metrics, traces, and logs. The system is now more accessible than ever for every member of the team, which has helped us detect issues earlier—often before we receive any calls about them.

  ### 11. OpenTelemetry-first observability will be the future

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke R. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Being OTEL-native means that setup is a breeze. The team are incredibly responsive and helpful. Getting set up was fairly quick as we just added it as a destination in our OTEL collector setup and then removed a load of hackery that was required from using our previous provider. Alerting works well and was easy to integrate with incident.io

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Some of the out of the box dashboards need improving but the team are working on this. Silencing/muting a particular failing alert check when the alert is parameterized is not supported yet so requires muting the entire alert which is not ideal.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Getting visibility in to our running services
- Monitoring for errors and failures

  ### 12. Observe OTel signals becomes a piece of cake

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julian K. | Senior Software Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

IaC and Kubernetes native integration in conjunction with transparent cost management are superbly designed and documented, and well implemented. This enables governance second to none. The UI is clear and extensive without being cluttered. Customer voice is being heard and features are being implemented in a fast pace and good quality.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

The product is still missing a few things you would expect from an observability vendor, like trace sampling and SRE patterns. Also the UI is not tailored towards a vast amount of microservices yet.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Given its seamless OpenTelemetry integration Dash0 it covers basically all signals the standard describes. Furthermore they are very keen on getting the semantics right, such that frameworks and custom integrations can rely on the standard annotations on signals to be interpreted meaningful. This enables us to use it not only for APM, but also correlate logs, have excursions into RUM or simply be alerted when values are out of their thresholds. Even for missing features the openness of the OpenTelemetry architecture allows to route individual use-cases into different products.

  ### 13. Interesting upcoming Observability Tool for OTEL

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thorsten H. | Director Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 is a well-structured observability tool built by a team that clearly understands both the technical landscape and customer needs. New features are thoughtfully developed and add meaningful value to the product. The user interface is engineering-focused, making it intuitive and easy to navigate for technical users. Support is responsive, with knowledgeable and helpful engineers providing timely assistance. While we're still in a ramp-up phase, Dash0 has already become an integral part of our daily operations and shows strong potential as a long-term solution.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Dash0 shows strong potential, but as it is still in an early stage, it currently doesn’t fulfill all of our needs. That said, the roadmap looks promising and more features are expected to come. For developers who are used to tools like Grafana, adapting to Dash0’s approach to building dashboards requires a bit of a learning curve. However, this adjustment is part of the migration process and should become more natural over time. We're optimistic about its development and look forward to seeing how the product evolves.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understand performance bottlenecks of your application and gains insights via logs and traces

  ### 14. Worry-Free Observability with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael R.

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

I found Dash0 super easy to get started with, thanks to their excellent onboarding wizards and detailed getting started documentation. The support and technical team was incredibly engaged, offering extensive office hours to dive into our specific environment. I love that Dash0’s spam filter helps us filter out unnecessary data efficiently, and the pricing model is flat and predictable, unlike other vendors. The platform offers a cohesive user experience with a focus on the observability stack, avoiding the clutter of unnecessary features. The triage function and color coding in the UI are particularly useful for identifying and managing errors.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

I feel that Dash0 could benefit from having more features. Specifically, the ability to handle business requests or behaviors, allowing users to isolate certain business requests, would be a valuable addition. Additionally, integration with a service catalog like Backstage would significantly enhance its utility for our operations.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 simplifies OTEL integration with native support, offers transparent pricing, and effectively filters data noise, enhancing observability. It provides an intuitive user experience and exceptional support, solving my team's data overload and vendor lock-in issues.

I really like that Dash0 makes it very easy and straightforward to bring in data, thanks to its open telemetry basis. The team is quick to respond to problems, which is a relief. I also value the fact that there's no vendor lock-in, and I find the user experience to be super nice.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Feature parity with well established platforms like Datadog is not there yet, but the team is catching up very fast and in a very predictive and transparent way.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 brings together metrics, logs, traces, and AI capabilities to track down issues fast.

  ### 16. pretty damn awesome and building fast - way better than the others!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vinit P. | VP, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

The OpenTelemetry-native setup is fantastic—no proprietary agents or vendor lock-in. I also love the transparent pricing; seeing our costs in real-time helps us avoid the billing shocks we used to get with other vendors. Support is fast and genuinely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

While the platform is intuitive, I’d love to see more ootb dashboards for some of my environments - maybe suggested - so I can see them quicker.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us a unified view of logs, metrics, and traces without the high price tag. We’ve significantly cut our monitoring costs and reduced debugging time - without compromising and cutting data to a minimum.

  ### 17. Outstanding Usability and Unique Open Telemetry Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark B. | Head of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

The team has built an awesome, easy-to-use, easy-to-understand product. I believe one of dash0's strengths is that they have integrated open telemetry very well and from the ground up into the product, in a way that no other provider currently does. The team is always available and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

There is currently nothing I dislike about dash0.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We spent a long time looking for monitoring and observability solutions that were right for us and not too expensive. Dash0 offers us everything we need. Their pricing model is very transparent and there are no hidden traps or costs.

  ### 18. A Next-Level Observability Platform That Stays True to OpenTelemetry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emil I. | Cloud architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 is one of the few observability platforms that truly embraces OpenTelemetry without trying to layer on proprietary extras. It integrates traces, metrics, and logs in a way that feels native and intuitive—starting from traces and easily jumping to related logs and metrics provides a workflow that just makes sense. It’s refreshing to see a product that focuses on getting the fundamentals right rather than reinventing them.

We’ve deployed Dash0 in our Kubernetes setup using their well-configured and easy-to-use Kubernetes Operator, which made getting started impressively quick. The out-of-the-box experience was smooth, and the quality of the platform is evident. On top of that, the Dash0 team is extremely responsive and actively working to improve what really matters in the OpenTelemetry space.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Dash0 is not open source, and since it’s a paid platform, it will always carry a cost. However, the pricing is fair and transparent (around $0.60 per million logs/metrics/traces). As with any cutting-edge platform, some parts are still being figured out, and not everything is perfect yet. That said, the Dash0 team is very active and committed to resolving issues and pushing the product forward rapidly. The pace of improvement gives us confidence in its long-term value.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 solves the complexity and fragmentation in observability by offering a truly OpenTelemetry-native platform where traces, logs, and metrics are deeply integrated. Instead of juggling multiple tools or dealing with platforms that wrap OSS with custom, non-standard layers, Dash0 provides a streamlined, standards-first approach.

One of the biggest benefits has been the focus on Span and Trace IDs as the backbone of the entire telemetry experience. This gives us the true correlation-focused setup we’ve been chasing for decades—previously trying to cobble it together through custom log parsing and tagging. With traces at the center, the ability to pivot directly from a request to the corresponding logs and metrics at that exact moment is transformative. The value of that correlation is hard to overstate—it brings clarity, speed, and confidence to how we operate and debug our systems.

This approach has made our observability setup in Kubernetes far more cohesive. The Dash0 Kubernetes Operator made deployment quick and easy, letting us focus on the insights rather than infrastructure. Troubleshooting is faster, and our systems are more transparent than ever.

  ### 19. Love the integrations of dash0

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subash P. | Android Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

I have used many logging services. The functionality that we mostly use are generally the same. I used dash0 for vercel log drains. Vercel only saves logs for 3 days and we needed longer retention. The integration of dash0 and vercel is really good. Couple of clicks and about 5 minutes all logs from vercel is shown in dash0.

Pros:
1. Seamless integration and superb sdk
2. End to end logging(you can debug an event(api calls) from your frontend to backend)
3. Great customer service

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

The integration was so seamless, I didn't have to dig deeper. No cons for now.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving my log retention problem.

  ### 20. Better than the others

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reto M. K. | Gründer:in, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

I appreciate the flexible user interface, the affordable pricing, and the effective spam filtering. It's great that I can set up usage and error dashboards for under $5 per month.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

The spam filters are great, but hidden in the UI..

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Setting up Dash is straightforward, and configuring the dashboards is intuitive. Dash handles both error and performance monitoring for my site at a price that can't be beat.

  ### 21. Customer-oriented Observability embracing open standards

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 is built with open industry standards in mind, utilizing OpenTelemetry, Prometheus (OpenMetrics), Perses (Dashboards) and a decent Kubernetes integration to provide tooling that will be familiar for users who heavily invested in rolling their own OSS deployments in the past. Users who are more familiar with vendored solutions should notice very quickly that their hands aren't as limited as they might be used to. In our organisation we know both and love the fact that Dash0 is focused on providing us with the tools that we need. Telemetry data that we don't find useful? Just one click on the Spam button and the unnecessary data will no longer be ingested and cause no additional costs. And the data that we keep? Triage allows me to actually have the system do the correlation across all possible attributes for me. I just need to click on what's interesting. Looking forward to see what comes next.

As an early adopter we sometimes run into questions. So far all of them have been answered promptly and elegantly by the customer support, even in cases where engineering needed to be consulted or when some of our questions resulted in improvement requests.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Dash0 is still pretty new, and that does show in feature completeness. The foundation is all there: metric, traces and logs can be stored and queried, displayed on dashboards and used for alerting. But at this point not many value added services are available. Grouping and Triage are great additions, but advanced features like Error Tracking, Synthetics, RUM and SLOs aren't available, yet.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 acts as our key APM and general production application observability solution. It is both used by platform teams to monitor the platform and its components and by product teams owning their own applications running on the platform.
As such it is used to determine whether the applications are performing as expected and if they are not, to investigate causes.

  ### 22. Comprehensive observability across various tech stacks with excellent support and UX

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Maritime | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

* Allows for a collection of observability across different cloud providers, infrastructures, systems, etc. We use the solution for monitoring managed DBs, streaming platforms, K8 clusters, messaging systems, etc across multiple cloud providers.
* Easy implementation and the utilization of OTel and industry monitoring standards
* The dashboard and filtering methodology is intuitive and simple
* The ability to enable "spam" on spans/logs/metrics that are unneeded for cost reduction
* Well written documentation and great support - very responsive, provided thorough feedback, proactive in ensuring solutions were adequate, and incorporated feedback to improve upon the product.
* Continually improving on AI and adding more integrations
* The ability to create custom views with filters - devs love the ease of this

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

* Multiline logging in applications is less easy to view
* Scaling can become costly

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

* Single location for all monitoring needs across multiple tech stacks and cloud providers (used to be a fragmented approach)
  - This gives developers and management a single place to view systems
  - Makes maintaining observability much simpler
  - Reduced costs by having a single solution
  - The ease of use enables teams to utilize the setup (previous monitoring solutions weren't regularly used)

  ### 23. Dash0 is a true developer-first observability platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis S. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

As a developer-focused observability platform, Dash0’s DevFirst philosophy truly shines—everything from the UI/UX to the feature set feels purpose-built for engineers. It’s clear the team built this for developers rather than retrofitting features for them.

Despite being a young company (just over a year into operations), Dash0 delivers enterprise-grade quality and features—automatic instrumentation, spans, logs with semantic context, PromQL support, AI-powered trace triage—all working reliably from day one.

The support team is exceptional—responsive, knowledgeable, and supportive even for smaller customers, turning any blockers into quick solutions.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

There’s very little to complain about. The main hiccup is that AWS Lambda instrumentation can still be a bit fiddly—more due to current OpenTelemetry limitations than Dash0 itself. Fortunately, the roadmap promises improvements, so I’m confident this will smooth out soon.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On AWS, tracing and logging in our SaaS applications are seamlessly unified through Dash0. The resource-centric view—integrating spans, logs, metrics, alerts—is a game-changer for debugging bugs, sprint issues, or performance bottlenecks. Previously, these took hours; now they’re resolved in minutes.

Developers are empowered to troubleshoot and own issues end-to-end. Service maps and semantic context mean we can pivot from alert to root cause in one click—with context all intact.

Transparent, usage-based pricing removes the fear of unexpected billing. No surprise charges—just clean cost visibility.

  ### 24. Plug-and-play OTEL observability for a great price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex G. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

It's super easy to get started with Dash0. We spent days setting Datadog up; with Dash0, it only took hours. Also, unlike Datadog and friends, Dash0 doesn't have a bunch of hidden extras that you end up paying for. And among the best things about Dash0 is that it's OTEL native, which means there's no custom query languages to learn or e.g. vendor-specific agents to install. TBH they make it very easy to switch among providers if needed. Low vendor lock-in is aligned with the customer and I appreciate it.

Oh and the customer support has been super responsive.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

We'd like an APM/profiles story. But for our use case this is not a dealbreaker. Dash0's team said they already have profiles features in beta and they'll roll it out once OTEL profiles specifications are locked down this year or so.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 is solving everything around observability for us (that we care about) — logs, metrics, and traces — so that we can figure out what's going in our system and both proactively and reactively fix problems that arise.

  ### 25. Effortless Setup and Direct Access to Expert Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Luxury Goods & Jewelry | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

It is easy to set up, and I appreciate having direct access to support engineers.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Opentelemetry is still in its early stages.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have consolidated our observability stack into a single application, moving from multiple agents and daemonsets to just one. With Dash0, it has become much easier to identify the root cause of issues and speed up service recovery times.

  ### 26. Dash0 allows us to quickly debug issues

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elliot D. | Founding Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

The tracing UI is amazing. When we switched to Dash0, it significantly cut down the amount of time it takes us from a bug being reported to figuring out why it happened and fixing it. Filtering on attributes is extremely intuitive, and the tracing tree UI is awesome.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

There isn't much yet that we dislike about Dash0. Any tracing platform can certainly be a bit overwhelming when you first start using it, but we've found learning to navigate the Dash0 UI to be the most intuitive of the ones we've tried

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 ingests all of our tracing/observability data from our applications and allows us to search it quickly. The biggest use case for us is tracking down one-off bugs that would be almost impossible to track down otherwise, especially if they are not easily reproducible.

  ### 27. Game-changer for Tracing, Monitoring, and Logging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlo V. | Senior Full Stack Engineer, Human Resources, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

We've been using Dash0 at catchHR for several months now, and it's been a real game-changer for us.
Dash0 combines tracing, monitoring and logging based on OpenTelemetry and packed in a beautiful UI. It really helps us to simplify our workflows.

Initial setup/integration and getting our data to Dash0 was as simple as it gets, thanks to the offered Dash0 operator. Only took a few minutes and it just worked. Even if you don't use the Dash0 operator, it's still an easy process e.g. thanks to auto-instrumentations etc.

What our dev team loves most about Dash0 during the daily usage is the UI/UX. It's incredibly well-thought-out and user-friendly, especially for developers, making it easy to navigate and find the data we need. They pay A LOT of attention to ensure a smooth user experience and it becomes clear once you use it for more than 5 minutes.

All in all it saves us lots of time and effort that we had before. And on top of that it's also really fast and reliable!

While some of the features are not there yet, the development team at Dash0 is very responsive and committed to continuous improvement. They really listen to customer feedback and work hard to provide regular updates. We are in close contact with them, and issues or requests raised are quickly put into action effectively. The level of support means the few missing features are much less of an issue.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

There's nothing we currently dislike about Dash0. Like I said in another section, a few features are missing, but the development team does a great job with that, releasing updates very often and really being on top of customer feedback. Their responsiveness and commitment ensure that any problems and questions are quickly addressed, making it a non-issue for us.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Dash0 we are combining tracing, metrics and logging in one well-designed tool. The advanced filter mechanics and the intuitive UI/UX makes it incredibly easy for us to find what we need in just a few seconds. It's also way faster and more cost-effective than our previous stack. All in all a really powerful all-in-one solution.

  ### 28. Dash0: An OpenTelemetry-Native Observability Platform for Modern DevOps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bianca M. | Junior Store Specialist, Insurance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

What stands out most about Dash0 is its deep integration with OpenTelemetry. Unlike many other observability platforms that bolt on OpenTelemetry support, Dash0 is built natively around it. That means:

No vendor lock-in – you're working with open standards.
Smooth data ingestion – metrics, logs, and traces are handled uniformly.
Fast, unified insights – the ability to seamlessly pivot from traces to logs to metrics is huge for debugging and performance tuning.
Plus, the UI is clean and intuitive, which makes onboarding easy for devs, and their PromQL support adds bonus flexibility for folks already familiar with Prometheus.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

The main drawback of Dash0 right now is that it's still relatively new, so a few things come with that:

Feature gaps – some advanced or niche features you might find in more mature tools (like Datadog or New Relic) may still be on their roadmap.
Smaller ecosystem – less community content, plugins, and third-party integrations compared to older players.
Documentation depth – while the core guides are solid, edge-case or advanced usage scenarios might not be as thoroughly documented yet.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What Problems Dash0 Solves and how it helps me:

I love that Dash0 brings logs, metrics, and traces into one place. I don’t have to jump between platforms anymore.
Since it’s built on OpenTelemetry, I know my data stays open and portable — no vendor trap.
With everything connected, I can trace issues end-to-end and fix problems way faster.
Dash0 shows exactly what I’m using, so I can control spend and avoid surprise bills.

  ### 29. Seamless Setup, Powerful Insights, and Top-Notch Support !

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin S. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 was super easy to set up and start using. Within no time, it provided valuable insights into my applications, even helping me catch a few bugs early on. The user interface is quite intuitive, making monitoring and alerting straightforward. On top of that, the support team is exceptionally responsive—they quickly address questions, escalate issues to their tech team, and roll out fixes, sometimes in the same week as the issue was raised.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

If I have to say something, except one small UI issue I encountered once (and that have been fixed since), everything is going great.

Until now, no real downside for me !

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 is giving us visibility about our applications, our infrastructure, and their alerting tool to warn us in case of incidents in production.

We can also deep dive into our applications traces and logs, to find bugs and fix them afterwards.

  ### 30. Great tool with great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael M. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

It was super easy to get started and the product made it easy to move from testing it to replacing what we had in 2 weeks

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

There was nothing, it did fulfill all the requirements and moved beyond

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It unified our scattered observability stack. We had multiple tools and dashboards often multiple times for multiple environments. Dash0 made it easy to unify this under a single platform.

  ### 31. Straight forward onboarding and powerful product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Dash0 provides powerful insights across software systems all built on top of OpenTelemetry. This is a strong feature that makes integration easy without vendor locking and sunk cost investments.

The product is super easy to use and I have never experienced complex observability data presented so clear.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Complex retention plans for long term storrage is still not clearly defined which might limit adoption for some customers.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is extremely powerful to bring all kinds of OpenTelemetry data together in a single product and allowing users to easily mix and match, and slice and dice, data. It imidiatly increases our understanding of our systems and makes troubleshooting fast and simple.

  ### 32. A novel APM with transparent pricing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristof B. | Head of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

There's not one single thing.
Dash0 builds on top of OpenTelemetry, an open standard for telemetry-data, supported by most modern tools nowadays.
No weird vendor-hacks needed to get something Instrumented, and great support in any Stack.
The way Dash0 uses the semantic conventions to organize your data really helps with accessibility.
Perses for dashboarding is a bliss and visualizing data is super easy.
All of this combined with great performance and a super-transparent pricing make Dash0 a serious Challenger for the established solutions in the APM space

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

There isn't really anything to dislike, really. If I Had a free wish, i'd probably ask for pre-built (opinionated, obviously) Views for Common infra-services (like databases, messaging-systems, runtimes) to get you started with what you have and then customize from there

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dash0 allows us to ingest all of the telemetry that our SaaS platform generates, while having full control about what, when and how much.

  ### 33. A Game-Changing Observability Tool: Fully OpenTelemetry Native

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrice B. | Solution Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

The native integration with OpenTelemetry is the single most important feature about Dash0, making it increadibly easy to implement observability in any environment without proprietary lock-in. The UI is especially focused for being keyboard and developer friendly. This allows users to quickly navigate to specific application and system data. Additionally, the active community support is a highlight as they are still developing the product at a fast pace.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Being OpenTelemetry native has the downside that not every aspect of observability is fully available yet. For example, the tool currently lacks a mature RUM approach, which is crucial to understand real end-user behavior and transactions. This limitation can make it less comprehensive compared to more established observability solutions on the market that offer a wider range of features out of the box. But the huge potential for Dash0 is there to fill these gaps and still be in line with the whole OpenTelemetry ecosystem.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our enterprise environment, Dash0 allows us eliminate a vendor lock-in in the Observability space through their OpenTelemetry-native approach. Furthermore, they also rely completely on PromQL (Prometheus Query Language) to query through the whole data and dashboards are defined via the new open source standard called Perses. This highlights their dedication to built upon Open Source standards.

  ### 34. Beautiful telemetry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

I've been driving the adoption of Open Telemetry with my client and being able to show the power of tracing with such clarity has been invaluable. Developers often presume that telemetry is a job for the Ops team, but showing them how easy it is in dash0 to search and filter traces to see performance trends and identify bugs has really helped me show them how important their role in this is.
I use dash0 for personal projects too and it's great value, I don't think I'll even spend $1 this month.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

For newcomers the UI can be a little overwhelming, especially when you're encouraging devs to move from logging to the console

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Such clear telemetry of the systems we are building encourages devs to take more responsibility for their work

  ### 35. Easy, as it should be

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | CTO Madi BV, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Ease of starting your journey in open telemetry. Quick and clear in their communication, helpful and listening

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Nothing this far, may be the fact they came with this solution earlier then me

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to implement, not having to do it all on my own

  ### 36. The best OTEL platform i've tried yet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barnabas K. | Platform engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

At our startup, we are using it daily. We moved from Grafana Cloud and it's a world of difference. It's fast with an intiutive UI, it has great integration with the open source technologies, while enriching them with smart features.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

I can only think of some minor features, that I'm sure are coming soon (eg. deployment markers).

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Observability.

Get insights into SaaS application.

  ### 40. Best In Class OpenTelemetry Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oliver M. | DevOps Cloud Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

I absolutely like the transparency of Das0's cost model, even at a very early phase of any project i can observe potential money wastings. Sometimes it just makes no sense to dump the same identical log information, which i will never ever use in any debugging scenario. Also i have to mention that the instrumentation of my workloads are absolutely trivial, so it's totally easy to start with the observability.

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

Well, at least it's a SaaS, no on-Premise available

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are monitoring a large variety of different workloads, i don't want to build different setups for all those workloads

  ### 41. Powerful service without vendor lock!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin P. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Dash0?**

Fast adaption, transparent pricing and great customer support

**What do you dislike about Dash0?**

We were early beta users and found some typos in the docs. These have been fixed within a short time period and we had no other problems since then.

**What problems is Dash0 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Less time spent on finding issues, thus improving MTTR

  ### 42. Telemetry monster without gotchas
