What do you like best?

After trying Unity, Clickteam, Gamemaker, and Gamesalad, I can say that Buildbox has been the go-to engine for me. It's got a lot of things other engines don't have: easy ad integration, easy resolution management, fast loading times for the games, and no coding involved at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The limitations on the types of games you can make. You can make 3D games with Buildbox 3 now sure, but you cant make Fortnite with it. You have limits in making animated 3D games because it still lacks FBX support. Buildbox 3 also doesnt have the same ease in ad integration as BB2 yet. Also, the learning curve on BB3 is pretty high compared to the Buildbox 2 version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Buildbox has allowed me to make games much faster than other game engines I've used in the past. Also, its nature has allowed me creative ideas in how I make my games, giving my own games a unique flavor. It's much easier to convince people to get into game development through this engine, as other engines might overwhelm beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Buildbox is great for the new entrants in game designing world. Not much coding knowledge is required. Just drag and drop does the job perfectly. Soo.. much options and tools to choose from. It helps in making up some simple but great hyper casual games. It also helps in making games for cross platforms. You can play them on android, ios, windows, mac osx, etc., Pc with low specification can handle this software greatly. It have good and easy user interface and easy tools to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

You can make only 2D simple games. Buildbox is unable to help you in making 3D high graphic games. Also it doesn't give any experience and knowledge of high graphic game designing to the designer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It is a great game designing software for beginners and is highly recommendable for those who doesn't have much coding knowledge. It is also recommendable for those who wants to enter into game industry but doesn't have experience and exposure of designing games. buildbox will help you in making your own project to show and help in gaining some game designing experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Buildbox is great for those who doesn't have coding knowledge and language like c++ and c idea. It helps in making small 2d games and projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like the ease of use and the options available. Buildbox offers extra assets and tools for budding game developers to fast track them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I dislike the high cost of entry. The cost will keep new developers from using the system. There is unfortunately not as abundant an amount of tutorials as there are for other game development platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Plan ahead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easily being able to prototype mobile games is great asset. Even someone new to game development can use the system to realize their goal through quickly building a prototype of their game. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
