## Unity Reviews
  ### 1. Powerful Game Engine with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Savya S. | Game Development Team Lead, Computer Games, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Unity?**

I like Unity because it is one of the best engines in the market for game development. It makes creating simple games easy for beginners and is also effective for professionals managing a huge codebase. I appreciate its vast features, performance, and versatility, allowing us to build from small to big games with ease. The object-oriented design makes management simpler, and I find the Entity Component System amazing. Additionally, the initial setup of Unity was very easy and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Unity?**

Unity could work more on the editor bugs, sometimes we have visual bugs in the editor and also on performance. Unity's C# is outdated too and I've got to use third party tools to install nuget packages. The AI MCP being on paywall is such a greedy move, it's MCP, we already pay for other AI subscriptions if we're not using your tokens why make us pay every month for what runs locally.

**What problems is Unity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unity makes developing simple games for beginners easy and managing a large codebase straightforward for professionals. Its vast features, object-oriented design, and Entity Component System make building small to big games seamless.

Some times you need a fast computer, a lot of ram, gigas of free space. A good equipment is necesary to work correctly with Unity. unity 3d is a super complete tool for the development of apps and games with a lot of 3d content, for years we have used it for augmented reality and virtual reality projects and we have always managed to make projects with the highest quality.

**What do you dislike about Unity?**

The price of the monthly license is high for some territories such as Latin America, something I don't like is that in order to have the monthly license they require a minimum one-year plan paid month by month, which makes it very difficult to commit to hiring it for a year, should give the option to hire him for a month.

**What do you like best about Unity?**

Easy to build things and import objects and packages for the most part

**What do you dislike about Unity?**

IF YOU READ THIS, DO NOT GET UNITY!!! It is so frustrating that i have been trying to make a very simple game, and i have had EIGHT FAILED ATTEMPTS all because Unity, the "Best and most used" game software DELETED EVERYTHING I HAVE DONE!!! Beware. If you use unity, don't put too much work into your projects because all of your hard work WILL be deleted. And the errors! if you make ONE mistake, it can cause AN INSANE amount of compiling errors that you can't fix. I have an example, actually! One time, I MISCLICKED and the errors tab said 999+ errors. AND THEY COULDN'T BE CLEARED!!!

**What problems is Unity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None.

**What do you like best about Unity?**

So far in my 7 years of gaem development, I found unity, one of the best game engine ever. Easiness and quick learning is one the best thing. It has a huge community to support and a lot of package help you shorten your work. Object base working make the structure easy to understand and reusable. We have made a lot of hit games using Unity for playstore and iOS. Moreover it has the cross platform ability so you can publish the same source code to multiple platforms like mobile, website and consoles. Implementation is also easy and very handy for beginners as well.

**What do you dislike about Unity?**

So far I do not feel anything much to dislike about Unity as compare to other engine. However if they can reduce the laoding time then the working can be done more faster.

**What problems is Unity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a team of game developer and we have been using Unity since last 7 years to make hit games on playstore.
