**What do you like best about Defold?**

With Defold, I can develop a game and export it to all platforms without changing any code. We do not even have to bother about the conventional system items such as directories, graphic forms, input methods, processes rendering, network functions, or so on. It normally takes only a few seconds to create Defold 2D or 3D animation. You may also send content and gameplay logic to updates on your PC, mobile or controller to an existing running game.

**What do you dislike about Defold?**

3D models - load models could somehow be delay on the interface, so having multiple source files, so customizing them is a bit challenge at the beginning.

**Recommendations to others considering Defold:**

The Defold SDK supports C++, Java and JavaScript engine extensions to be written. so any developer can build their personal animation

**What problems is Defold solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create and change Running 3d model, Advanced effects and textures, GUI nodes Flipbook animations, Animations of customized scripts, Assembly and asset, setting scene editor, Simulation software of complex physics

**What do you like best about Defold?**

Defold uses LuaJIT which is itself really fast.
The source code of the engine is all public on GitHub if you need to modify something yourself.
Defold is the complete solution for creating multi-platform games (HTML5, Switch, Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, macOS).

**What do you dislike about Defold?**

Defold API is something like a "low" level. You have to write many things by yourself.
Focuses on 2D development, not 3D.

**Recommendations to others considering Defold:**

You can ask any questions at Defold's forum and Discord. The community is very friendly. Also, developers of the engine do their best to answer questions!

**What problems is Defold solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using Defold since 2018 to make HTML5 games, and it worked really well for 2D with the simplicity of Lua.
