I like its Performance - how everything is in one spot for our volunteers, Onboarding - easy to onboard everyone at once with a short video on how to use it, UI - easy to navigate and find everything. While I think BoardEffect has a lot of helpful features, some of them could be streamlined or upgraded. For example, with the agenda, there’s currently only one template. Our agenda looks different from yours, so I’d like options to choose a template that better matches our look and feel. In the Minutes Module, while it’s very helpful that you can adapt the agenda into the minutes, the process is still cumbersome and requires a lot of manual work. Ideally, I’d want it to take the agenda (including its numbering) and directly import or replicate it into the minutes. Right now, I don’t use the minutes module for that reason. For polls or surveys, when sending a survey or poll to members, it doesn’t give you an option to include a clickable link. Instead, you have to spell out the navigation path for them to find it (Board - Collaborate - Poll - July). BoardEffect is mostly user friendly for external users with little training. Which is very important in saving troublishooting time. Sometimes when making the meeting book the agenda items are not flexible to move around. The new interface has improved this greatly. What do you dislike about BoardEffect? It would be helpful if it could generate an agenda from an agenda that’s already been prepared, and then sort the attachments in the same order as the agenda. That way, you could potentially just move a folder into the Board Effect software and have it automatically create the document, including the agenda and the title page. I genuinely appreciate BoardEffect for its ability to actively sync documents in real-time during meetings, which ensures that everyone is always on the same page with the most updated information. The convenience of managing minutes and reference documents within the same platform is another aspect I find valuable, as it consolidates important information in a single location, making access and reference straightforward and organized. Furthermore, BoardEffect acts as a secure depository for documents, which gives me peace of mind regarding the safekeeping and future accessibility of critical documents. Additionally, I find the ability to have different workrooms for various committees incredibly beneficial. Having some challenges since the Diligent update. Agendas are poorly formatted differently that before with a lot of blank spaces that even the BE help people are unable to correct.
