**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

Our nonprofit has finally took the plunge to get an LMS, and Acorn has made this transition super smooth. The system is user friendly and intuitive, and the customer support has been excellent.

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

As new LMS-users, there is a bit of a learning curve to the system, and we are having to upload most of our content ourselves. Acorn has provided guidance, but we weren't prepared for the number of staff hours this would take.

**What problems is Acorn PLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Acorn, our training program was managed by spreadsheets and forms, which were prone to human error and tedious to maintain. Acorn is providing a one-stop shop for our staff for all things training-related, which we hope will increase engagement and make it easier for staff to access their training history and future professional development. We're also excited about the ability to automate reminders, emails and workflows.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

I really appreciate Acorn PLMS as a good central hub for information and programming. The support team, including Jenny, always responded quickly, which was crucial when we faced functionality issues. There are plenty of resources available to learn more about the platform. We often use the momentum feature, as well as the courses and live sessions, which we find quite valuable.

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

The reporting isn't my favorite. Also, we use it in conjunction with Articulate courses, and there's no easy way to ensure the data collected by Articulate ends up in Acorn PLMS. I want the ability to report on users' SCORM progress/results within Acorn. The platform should allow discussion forum posts to notify all users, not just those who have commented on the forum. I also wish it was easier to copy and transfer momentum across multiple sites and tenancies. We are still experiencing some functionality issues.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

Acorn has been an absolute game changer for our company. Our previous LMS was missing many modern features, but Acorn has exceeded expectations—especially with the ability to fully personalize the homepage to reflect our company branding. We love how customizable it is, from the types of reports we can pull to the workflows and the ease of creating the catalog.

The biggest highlight, though, has been the outstanding customer support from Stan and Jenny. They were incredibly responsive, quick to provide solutions, and shared guides that were actually useful. Their support made the transition smooth and stress-free.

We’re excited about our partnership with Acorn and can’t wait to see the continued impact it will have on our team’s learning and development.

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

I wouldn’t say this was entirely Acorn’s fault, but we did experience a few hiccups when setting up the workflows. It took some extra configuring before everything was running as expected. That said, glitches are to be expected when working with a new platform. Once we connected with Jenny and Stan and got on the same page, the integration went smoothly and everything came together perfectly.

Combining two platforms into one. Previously we did not have access to a performance system and had to do it manually in house which was very time consuming.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

My favorite part of using Acorn PLMS is how customizable the site is. We were able to simply build custom dashboards that match our company branding and are modern and inviting. We’ve been able to create workflows to simplify our processes and automate tasks that used to take us hours each week in our previous platform.

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

Some of the workflows can be a little wonky to learn. We’ve had a few hiccups with them after thinking we had things set up correctly. One example would be due dates to be based on assignment, not on course.

**What problems is Acorn PLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Acorn is helping us save time while still driving learning! We’ve been able to automate several things that historically would have taken a lot of time. Additionally, we’ve seen a large increase in engaged learners since moving to Acorn due to the ease of use as a learner and how inviting the site looks.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

We have been using Acorn PLMS for just about 6 months. There are three primary improvements compared to our use of a previous system.

	1) Improved Learner Experience: ​With Acorn's multi-tenancy features, we have the ability to easily provide targeted, branded experience to our Client-Partners and other teams. We have not had negative feedback from any learners regarding difficul​ty using the site - it is intuitive for learners.
	2) Improved Visual Experience for learners and administrators: With Acorn's Widget Dashboards, we are able to more quickly provide a home page or reports dashboard, as well as display in a variety of formats.
	3) Improved Administrative Experience: Ease of access, design, and super-responsive support and partnership from our technical account manager and the client success and support teams, as well as original sales team.

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

This is not a dislike, it is an adjustment in expectations and processes. In a previous system, our administrators had more freedom to manage and adjust user data. With Acorn, if we need to adjust user data (usually administrator error in enrollments, occasionally user error), I submit a ticket to request an adjustment to the database. It is an extra step, and provides checks and balances to ensure we are correctly adjusting data. We are moving from independence to partnership and improved quality.

**What problems is Acorn PLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Acorn has helped us to solve the issue with specific-branded experiences for our Client-Partners through the multiple tenancies they offer. We can still track and report on the same course through multiple tenancies while providing some different experiences on the peripheral pages. We can personalize pages, programs, and more without changing courses. We can provide same content and report individually or across the platform, giving us the information we may need for varying audiences internal and external.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

First and foremost, the team at Acorn demonstrates a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. We faced a complex implementation for an external use case, and they devoted both time and technical expertise to ensure it functioned exactly as we required. As our needs have changed, they have adapted alongside us, acting as genuine partners throughout the process. We also greatly appreciate the user interface and the ease with which we can customize and white label for our clients. Additionally, Acorn's dedication to continuous improvement, regular feature updates, and responsiveness to our needs is something we truly value. We are not quite ready to leverage Capabilities, but are excited about the additional feature to create high-impact, tailored learning journeys.

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

Likely solved by adding Momentum, but for our external use case, we offer 1-year licenses. It would be great to have more flexibility for automated emails that include reminders of a subscription expiring and ability to easily renew.

**What problems is Acorn PLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a way to expand the distribution of our learning content and deliver tailored learning environments specifically for B2B sales. Acorn has allowed us to offer this solution to our clients by utilizing their platform, while we contribute our extensive industry expertise. This combination lets us create a distinctive outsourced LMS that features content tailored to the needs of our industry.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

Acorn PLMS has been such a positive experience. The platform itself is very intuitive, easy to navigate and not overly complicated to figure out on your own. What set Acorn apart is their team. They are always willing to answer questions, and they make the onboarding process smooth by holding weekly check-in calls. Having that consistent support while also working with a straightforward system has made this change simple and stress-free.

Honestly, nothing to report that I disliked about working with Acorn.

Many systems feel clucky or outdated, Acorn stands out because it's modern, easy to use, and packed with simple features. The simplicity of the navigation means our team van get what they need without frustration, while the wide range of tools and capabilities gives us room to grow and customize.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

This PLMS is an all generation friendly LMS. We opted for the Performance package, and have automated our forms and evaluations. Finally found a way to get supervisors and staff aligned and accountable for their evaluation due dates. The format is easy to brand and easy for staff to learn right away. Our employee usage at 7 months into Acorn is up by 87%! The back end had a few tricks to learn, but the Acorn staff was literally holding my hand the whole time through implementation and in making sure I and my team knew how to use the features. The Acorn Academy training was perfect for review when I forgot something, and videos of trainings were sent out so we could use as a refresher as some sections you only update occasionally. But the support is something I need to talk about - hands down, the BEST group I have ever worked with period. Issues are handled immediately, and it's all hands on deck when something comes up as an issue. They have had a blazing fast turnaround on support tickets, and my support rep, Jenny has been an incredible resource as well as a kind and patient human being. I have interacted with multiple Acorn staff, and all I can say is what a wonderful group of people - all wanting to help and doing their best to ensure the customer had what they needed. We had two popular LMS for years, and we sometimes waited weeks for any kind of support response. My issues are usually fixed the day I email. I love the fact they have continual updates, and patch notes are put out every two weeks with new features. This system has more features for half the price of most of the giants out there. Huge recommendation for organizations looking to expand their learning and automate forms!

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

Overall, the Acorn team did an incredible job with our implementation. The holdups we had were from our HRIS side, which took our implementation longer than planned.  We had one add-on to Acorn that had an issue, and both of us missed it. Acorn did jump on the issue right away, and upper leadership even got involved to make it right. I love the momentum feature, but I think there could be a way to make the builder more user friendly, with blocks that auto-connect, or a type in feature for what you need and the system builds it automatically, so those with no experience can easily develop their forms. Capabilities are awesome - and the support for that also, but assigning them to every video and training is very cumbersome for almost 2k in content trainings that the organization needs to do at implementation.

**What problems is Acorn PLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Form automations, such as our performance evaluations have always been an issue. We are now using Acorn, and in the first month of rollout, have completed over 150 evaluations that were overdue from our old cumbersome paper forms. We love that it is in the same place as their development activities, and we are able to look towards succession planning now. I couldn't even hit 15% usage with my old LMS that was difficult to navigate. My staff is utilizing Acorn at an incredible rate and my leaders are contacting me with new usage questions, and can we add on "this" too? Now everyone wants training and development activities added to the LMS. Huge benefit for my team and our data.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

There are so many great things about Acorn PLMS! First, working with their staff from the research/demo phase to implementation has been phenomenal. I can't say enough how helpful and patient they have been through the whole process of purchasing and implementation (still ongoing for me).Our company is building a training department from scratch, and as Training Manager, one of my first priorities was to research and find an LMS that works well for our company. At a conference, I met Jon Pettigrew, and thus began the consideration of Acorn PLMS. Acorn has a great LMS to catalog all your learning, whether it is content you have created internally or integrated from a partnered library.

What makes Acorn PLMS even better than other LMSs is its additional features, Capabilities and Momentum. Capabilities adds another layer to understanding where your learners are and where they may need some extra attention. We are excited to implement Capabilities in our company so that employees can see not only where they are, but also what they need to work on to advance within the company and proactively work toward those goals. Although I haven't done much with Momentum yet, I have LOTS of ideas for it, and being a training department of one, any automation in processes will help me out tremendously.

I also love the user-friendliness of the platform, and am confident our employees will feel the same when they get to use the system soon!

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

To be honest, there really isn't anything worth noting that I dislike at this time. I am still in the implementation stage, but everything has gone smoothly. Maybe a future suggestion would be for SCORM files to open and be interactive within the platform itself instead of taking you to another window for an even more seamless structure, but certainly not a deal-breaker!

Acorn PLMS is allowing for us to have all of our training materials in one place. This will allow us to keep everything organized and up to date. We also have not previously done data tracking on training, so we are excited to have that for our employees as well!

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

How easy the platform is to use, doesn't matter if you are an admin or a user. The platform is extremely user friendly. Jenny has been fantastic throughout the entire process. She is quick to respond to any and all communication and is available for calls whenever needed. I look forward to building what we have inside of Acorn and being able to use the platform to its full capacity in the next couple of years.

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

Momentum has almost all of the features our company needs. They did develop a couple while we were implementing but this would have been the thing I disliked the most.  The ADP integration was also not as easy as I thought it would be. We are still working on solutions on our end to make ADP reports fit the field Acorn needs.

**What problems is Acorn PLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not have a LMS, so it was solving for that. As well as performance management. Our old system for performance reviews (ADP) lack luster and was not user friendly.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

I liked that everyone at Acorn made an effort to know who we were - professionally, as a company, and personally, as a Trainer and Educator.  Getting a new LMS is daunting.  They were patient and willing to explain things for us as many times as our team needed.  They were also very accommodating to our strict (and sometimes annoying, but needed) IT security requirements.  

I am a professor, so I had a long list of things I wanted out of this Professional Learning Management System.  Acorn is aesthetically pleasing and easy to learn.

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

The only issues I had was learning the different lingo and what they meant to me as an admin and a content creator.  However, everything was explained in the onboarding process.  This is the nature of any technology/software.  Acorn fully anticipates this, and provides a robust kick-off and onboarding process to counteract any confusion.

**What problems is Acorn PLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating learning sandboxes that allow for targeted educational paths and audit friendly required trainings.  This makes our lives in HR and training easier, and it makes it easier for the learner to access needed and required content.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

We have been on the look out for a while for a new LMS system. After going through over 20 vendors we come across Acorn during a conference we were attending. Andrew has been working with us every step of the way and is very knowledgeable of all things about Acorn. He was very patient as we navigated which route we wanted to take and we had a ton of questions. His response time was phenomenal and his rugby skills were put to the test! Acorn really stood out from the crowd as being a performance based LMS, which was a big positive to our organization. Andrew was amazing and we look forward to working with the team as we continue forward.

So far we haven't experienced any issues.

**What problems is Acorn PLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have had a big issue with the limited testing and interactive abilities with our current system. Acorn seems to have everything we're looking for so we are excited to learn more about the system as we more forward.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

Platform is user friendly and support team is very responsive; not a lot of wait time when questions or issues arise. I do think my favorite part of Acorn is the support team. 
As for the platform itself, the ease in moving things around when creating modules and the easy upload of resources/requirements.

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

Some of the form question templates are limited. 
ex. We would still like to be able to have a Likert-like scale design so we can ask how many people answered each answer option to a question (wrong or right) to be able to see what they believe the answer to be and hone in on why the wrong answers are being chosen.
ex. numeric fields are a rolling drop-down option only with - and + options; would like the option to set a question as a numeric field but also they enter that number as a whole number.

The absolute best thing about Acorn is the performance module. Combining performance and learning is simplifying our internal processes. It is user friendly and has the capability to be used on handheld devices, which a lot of our staff prefer.

The implementation process took longer than anticipated. However, we had a complicated case, and I appreciated the intentionality from Jenny, who made herself available to us 24/7.

I really enjoy using Acorn PLMS! It's incredibly user-friendly, looks great, and the support team is always so kind and helpful. They truly make a difference when you need assistance. Looking ahead, I’m excited about the potential to explore more creative uses for the "P" in PLMS—it feels like there’s so much room for innovation!

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

One thing that could be improved is the flexibility of the reporting features. While they provide all the essential data you need, having more customization options would make them even better. Also, the form feature is helpful, but it doesn’t allow you to download your responses. For one specific task where our customers need a copy, it does present a bit of a challenge.

Overall, it’s a wonderful platform with so much to offer, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it continues to evolve!

Acorn PLMS has been a game-changer for us, helping solve several challenges by bringing everything into one easy-to-use platform. It’s automated our processes, making it so much simpler to manage and deliver consistent, high-quality learning experiences. Plus, being able to easily track our customers’ progress has made it easier to support them and ensure their success. **What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

It is nice to have a dedicated customer success manager. Jenny Tran always makes herself available to help. I appreciate her commitment to making sure our migration and implementation was successful. She even called us on the day we went live with our first tenancy to check on us! The platform allows for the customization we need and could not find with other vendors. The end user experience has been positive. Jenny is a wonderful employee. You are lucky to have her on your team!

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

Some of the reports do not function as we would like so there is still manipulation that is needed on our end. I do not like having to select All Filters, Visible Content, Hidden each time I go into a tenancy. It would be nice for administrators to have the default select "Hidden" for the tenancy to see all the courses.

**What problems is Acorn PLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Acorn is helping us provide education to a wide number of nursing home employees and other customers using customized features to meet our unique needs. We can better serve our customers.

The interface is customizable, so it was easy for us admins to set up the page. Our CS Officer helped us with weekly touchpoints. What sealed the deal for us, to move from our old LMS to Acorn was its price point, considering that it has one extra feature that our old LMS doesn't have--Capability Development.

There were some features we enjoyed with our old LMS that were not available on Acorn, like Go1 integration with free 25 courses, mobile app option, match list quiz type, and ease of assigning administrative roles across tenancies.

For our company, our old LMS has only been a library of courses. It wasn't tied to performance and skill development. Acorn's Capability Development module should help solve this gap. I like the ability to customize most aspects of the LMS to fit your organization's branding. For my case, we have multiple organizations using the system, and it is really helpful for each organization to have their own branding and autonomy over their own tenancies. I use the LMS most work days and it's usablity is consistent.

Some aspects are not customizable and make using the system for our specific reason a little more difficult. However, Acorn staff have been very gracious in helping us find ways to address problems creatively. The Acorn team has been professional, flexible, accommodating, and patient with us during the implementation process.  We selected Acorn after meeting with 18 LMS vendors primarily because we felt that we would be true "partners" and not just "partrons" who purchased the product.  The platform is easy to use and our employees are loving it.  Having the added "performance" or Capabilities functions is truly unique and we can't wait to fully incorporate all that Acorn PLMS has to offer to both our team members as well as our team leaders.

We have yet to find a "dislike" or downfall.  They have helped us with all of the relevant areas that we were lacking in our previous LMS and add so much more functionality.

We recently transitioned from our previous LMS to Acorn, and the experience has been fantastic. Special shoutout to Jenny Tran, our implementation specialist, who went above and beyond to make the process smooth—from start to launch. Jenny was always available (even at midnight!) to answer questions and help with any hiccups along the way.  Our switch was no small task—we have 26 franchise locations and a team of 500, so it wasn't easy—but Jenny helped make it incredibly smooth. 

The platform itself is easy to use, packed with features and has powerful reporting tools that will definitely help us manage our learning more efficiently. We're beyond pleased with the exceptional support from Jenny—she made the entire process seamless and a pleasure!

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

While Acorn offers a great experience overall, there are a few areas for improvement. One downside is that the app only functions in offline mode, and with over 70% of our users preferring mobile devices for learning, a fully functional app would be ideal. There are also some limitations in terms of customization, but despite this, the platform still delivers a solid experience, and the mobile web browser version works well.

Acorn has really solved a lot of the issues we had with our old LMS, which was pretty outdated and lacked the customization, reporting, and learning tools we needed. From an HRIS standpoint, I like how our system automatically feeds new employee information and profiles are created in Acorn within 48 hours! 

From a user perspective, it's nice to assign courses or surveys to employees, set up cohorts to complete certain tasks based on hire date, etc.

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

The workflow design and momentum creation is quite convoluted. We were fortunate to have Jenny, our Implementation Specialist, walk us through how it works, listened to our needs, and translated our processes into Acorn's momentum workflow designs. After several iterations, and testing, we are now good with what we need!

The only other issue I saw at the time of testing our product is that if all required sections are not completed in a form, there's no error popup to notify the user what's missing - people are expected to scroll around to find the incomplete section. We were told there's no fix available to amend this, so this is one minor system limitation I would suggest looking into.

**What problems is Acorn PLMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For the longest time, we have been using separate systems for performance management, learning and development, 30/60/90 day surveys, and exit interviews. Acorn seems to be the perfect go-to for all our HR talent management needs!

The ease of HRIS data integration and automation is a bonus as well.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

I like that you can brand custom pages for diffrent groups of people, this works well if you provided customized training or focus on collobaration with multiple bussiness uses. I also enjoy that Acorn is very user friendly and our design team got up and running within 10 minutes of instruction! Finally I love their responseivness to our needs and ideas, they have made two changes based on our onboarding feedback and were incredibly quick with the turn around time!

The quiz builder is not the smoothest option and is limitting however they are working on an update with this and it looks like it should adress my concerns!

It is creating access to multiple points of content, reducing record keeping reduncies, allowing access to new customers, and streamlining feedback collection.

I like the usability and all of the features that Acorn PLMS has to offer. The Customer support has also been great.

My biggest downside currently is some of the terminology being a little weird. Momentums/Capabilties/Cohorts I feel are just throw away words that may not exactly describe what they are to users.

Acorn solved our older LMS having an outdated user interface.

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

The Team at Acorn is its greatest asset. They are always quick to respond and very helpful. The system is very user-friendly and intuitive. Once I started building courses I realized what an easy-to-use system it was! We will be integrating the capabilities features soon and I know that will be a game changer for the way we approach Succession Planning.

Really, there is nothing I dislike about the system thus far!

**What do you like best about Acorn PLMS?**

The people who have been supporting us in the background, helping us get set up with a new learning platform. Geordie and Cody have been wonderful to meet and work with, and we have learned many opportunities to customize the platform to our unique needs and desires for our Early Learning community here in Dufferin County. Geordie has had so much patience and perseverance in working with us to ensure we understand the possible functionalities, and to navigate set-up in a way that works best for us and our users. It appears that our users will be able to easily transition to our new learning platform, which we will soon find out! Either way, we know that we will have the support to navigate any challenges that may arise in the process.  We are also excited to utilize some of the data features across the site. Thank you Geordie and the Acorn team.

**What do you dislike about Acorn PLMS?**

The only possible dislike I can think of, is the language used across the site that has made learning navigation and site creation a little bit more challenging. A small trade off for all the good that appears to come from Acorn.

Ease of registration to our local events and learning opportunities for our early childhood educators, and keeping all of our early learning resources and opportunities together in one place. Providing opportunities for online communication through forums, and the possibility of creating cohorts or communities of practice virtually that can further support our in person encounters with the community.
