  ### 1. Really great workflow features - when it works

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Being able to assign clients their own job boards, tasks with assignees, communication features in general stream, task streams, checklists per task as well as being able to track time per task - along with lists that are customizable to track literally everything. It's ALL here and it's quite useful. We used it extensively as our job management system and ticket system for various products for over 3 years.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

It has got to be the glitchiest platform ever created. Streams completely disappear once you submit, or you have to refresh 3 times to see them, let alone apply to them. Tasks start times do not work properly and seem to start whenever they feel like, and the entire infrastructure seems to have a mind of its own. Customer support has not always been helpful, and it's not easy to learn with a deep curve on how to read job boards, navigates jobs vs lists and implementation into existing processes is tough. Integrating people seems easy in setup but make a mistake on the profile and good luck changing it. It needs a huge quality overhaul.

Tracking tasks completed per user, time spent on tasks, tickets, job management, client management and asset management in some cases.

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Very good experience for having control over different projects, clients, and tasks, without going crazy with external tools. Everything is integrated and in a simple interface. Billing becomes somewhat less tedious, and it handles a lot of information efficiently. It is a product of the company, so I don't know if it is very expensive or cheap, but it is useful and has good support.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

By putting so many tools into the same software, the interface is not very simple, as it has too many options. Configuring everything at the start takes time, here AI can contribute a lot.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The integration of many tools into a single software means that, once the process is controlled, a lot of time is saved and you have a single unified view of everything. Also, surely the price of all the tools would be higher than just paying for this tool.

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Accelo ensures it is simple to keep clients, projects, and tasks organized in one place. Having the ability to delegate tasks, report time, and stay on top of projects keeps the whole team on the same page and in sync with each other. The reporting and dashboard functionality is a big plus, allowing for a good perspective on the whole operation, and the Xero integration makes life easier when it comes to the financial side of things, like invoices.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

The transition between the old version and the new version can be a bit tricky because certain functionalities might not be accessible right away or in the same way. Sometimes, issues might occur with filters as well as dashboards in reporting, but this takes only a short while to resolve. The steepest part of the learning curve is when one first starts using the software.

Accelo is broad in covering multiple programs and operations, which demands high level of configuration and coordination, for proper resources use and thus causes a significant strain 
Small enterprises finds no refuge or benefit from this app, where the set rates are extensively overstated

From deployment of Accelo, we no longer have issues with fragmentation of tasks and business processes, where activities are performed centrally and efficiently

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

I really appreciate that Accelo combines our CRM, Help Desk, Sales, Project Management, and Billing into one tool, which has been great for scaling our business as we grow. I love the help desk features, especially how I can check and verify timesheets and quickly audit them. It's also useful that with the help desk, a ticket is created to track the time spent when a customer contacts us, making it easy to bill post-paid clients in 15-minute increments.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Accelo has some shortcomings, one major feature on the email that I would love to see is a "save as draft." If you click away from an email or get pulled in another direction, you could lose your email. It was actually pretty difficult. We had an advisor from Accelo help us out, but they needed to understand our workflows for success. While it took some time, (2-3 months) we finally did get settled.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accelo combined our CRM, Help Desk, Sales, Project Management, and Billing into one tool, helping scale our business as we grow. I can verify timesheets and audit quickly. The help desk tracks time spent on tickets, with billing in 15-minute increments for post-paid clients.

A few things I like best about Accelo are: 1) the ability to see and respond to all team members’ email correspondence with clients and vendors, 2) the ability of the engagement templates to be heavily customized, and 3) the ability to create customized shared lists.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

A few things I dislike about Accelo are: 1) the engagement page Insights tab does not show the total hours assigned to each team member - just work done and forecast budget overages, 2) to the same effect, you can filter by team member on the Overview tab, but I wish it would total the hours at the bottom for each team member based on the filter applied, 3) some of the reports provide too much information and are unable to be simplified to show just the specific information I am looking for.

Accelo has served as a database for sorting and maintaining client information, tracking correspondence, invoicing, sales and time-keeping. It also assists with task and project management, and compiling data for KPIs.

I like that Accelo is cloud-based, which makes accessing it easy from anywhere. It's also easy to learn yet highly configurable and flexible, allowing it to adapt to different needs. I appreciate how it acts as a central point for many different departments to collaborate effectively.

Triggers could be easier to implement or test. While testing triggers, we have caused a lot of irreversible issues. It took the better part of a year to fully get invested and used to Accelo.

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Takes a bit to learn, but once you wrap your head around it, the ease of implementation and functionality is great. We use this every day in our agency and it helps us keep track of all of our clients, projects and invoicing. It also seamlessly integrates with Xero and other popular softwares. I have found the customer support to be good. They have a great range of articles you can read if you're having trouble.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

When switching from the old to new version of Accelo, I found quite a few key features were not transferred over that I use every day. This meant that I had to stay using the old version for a while. Additionally, there are some glitches sometimes with filters etc and the ability to produce dashboards and reports, but are usually fixed quickly.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having one centralised portal where we can access our client database along with a history of all the work we have done for them is game changing. The ability to assign key tasks and projects to employees keeps everyone on track and accountable for the work they have to do. Additionally, the functionality of being able to produce reports from our data means we can continuously improve our operations.

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Integrating client information with contacts, emails, projects, all the way through to invoicing is a time saver for our small team, allowing access to pertinent information for the whole team. There is still a lot that Accelo can do that we haven't tapped into yet. It is challenging to learn, but their team walks you through step by step and sets up as much of the backend for you as possible, taking the time to train you along the way. We use Accelo every day in numerous ways.

For our specific work, which doesn't fit nicely into any platform, several of the more robust features just don't work for how we do what we do, so it didn't eliminate as many manual and duplicative processes as we'd hoped.

Accelo is fairly easy to use with a short ramp up time, capturing billable and non-billable hours directly to client engagements and other projects, even internal. It also tracks communication with clients and activities related to specific engagements so team members can stay up to speed on work.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

I would love to see true milestones - non-task points in the timeline marking readiness or deadlines or other PM functionality. I'd also love to see an alert feature that I can set up to let the next team member in a process know that their prerequisite activities are complete.  I'd like to see more intuitive ways to create custom fields at the organization and engagement level that we can include in reporting, and, in fact easier ways to create custom reports and dashboards.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Accelo mainly for organizing work for multiple teams across the organization as a project and engagement manager. It would be impossible to keep track of when teams needed to pass work to other parts of the organization without a tool like this.

Accelo really shines with its automated workflows, real-time collaboration, and smooth integration with other tools, making everything run much smoother. Sometimes client emails don't feed directly into Accelo, which is frustrating because visibility across the rest of the team is important.

All the reports that Accelo generates, they aer super helpful. We can easily generate and export all the reports and make a clear financial decisions which helps the company. Moreover, the time entry and expense entry is also super easy and tracable.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Since Accelo is a US based software, it does not consider the Canadian tax system. For instance while entering the expense, it does not consider PST. due to that we have to manually deduct the pst from the total and check if the auto generated GST is correct or not. There are some concerns regarding the customer service as well. It is difficult to get a response from out account manager.

Specially the reports which Accelo provides, they are easy to create and help us to make decisions at very affordable rate.

I like Accelo features,  creation assignment, due date , to do list , planing, project map, calendar view, resource management and project monitoring. It is fully automated workflow.

Time management issue, glitchiest Platform, customer support not good and it's not easy to learning.

As our low volt campany continues to grow in different directions, Accelo is able to grow along with us.  Integrating sales, project management, service calls, and billing in one platform has been more than worth the effort.  The team behind Accelo continues to provide excellent support, quickly and clearly, with options and best practices.  We use Accelo at every level of our company, from full time office staff to full time field techs.  As the team grows, adding users is a simple process.  Regardless of the platform, be it PC or mobile, we are able to onboard a new tech quickly with minimal learing curve on Accelo.  The day to day functions of the platform, from scheudling to accessing client data, allow us to be fluid and grow.  With the new version 4 rolling out, we have found new features and functions that make the processes of scheduling and tasks even easier to use.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

The mobile app is the weakest point from a management perspective.  For the end-user in the field, the function is enough on Android and iOS, but the web portal is more potent for management and billing.  Client facing portal is something we have not used.

**Recommendations to others considering Accelo:**

Understand that you are buying into a custom product and will need to put forth some effort to fine tune the system to your needs.  This is the nature of a custom system.  The return on your time and money is well spent with Accelo.

This platform allowed us to centralize and streamline our scheduling, project maangement, and service tracking, as well as to be able to better visualize the labor and monetary aspects of our work.  We can better track all metrics internally and in near real-time, resulting in increased profit and customer satisfaction.  The ability to have data flow between the office and the field allows us to support customers in one call.

We were able to consolidate and unify: contact management, sales pipeline, project setup and timesheeting, payments and ticketing in to a single, integrated experience. Removing the various stand-alone solutions we used, both paid services and custom-development.

The implementation, setup and configuration and onboarding was excellent, and the adoption specialists in Accelo team in region really knew their way around typical customer scenarios and how to apply with the different modules. We knew alot of what we did was not unique, and in places not very efficient and the skillful way they guided us through the implementation really showed an understanding of both the platform, typical customer needs and implementation patterns, and when we had really unique requirements - how to address them.

It integrates into our core productivity suite on 365 for linking to calendar, communications and there's a mobile app which is essential for mobile professionsal services consultants. This enables us to track timesheets, job management, and lead to sale to project conversion at the point of where we work - and not constantly changing between platforms. Because we have our project delivery and ticketing in the platform, we all use various modules in the suite every day.

Where we've had issues with functionality, or in one case problems from post v4 enhancement releases changing how functionality works, the support team have been great. They always within SLA, really understand the product, and when we end-up with product team behind support the hand-off is seamless. Again the process is really well managed.   Most things were readily resolved, the odd one which couldnt be has, in 1 case, resulted in our contributing to the development backlog and roadmap investment.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

There are some annoyances, and most are minor so far. Mostly little things like:

1. Creating appointment for Microsoft Teams meeting doesnt get automatically captured by Accelo events in time-tracking, like creating a standard meeting or appointment in Outlook calendar - even though both create the same underlying booking;

2. updates to the mobile app made 1 key activities with time-management more difficult when the feature was moved, and functionaly was reduced over previous release. Unfortunately mobile app was a primary purchasing feature for one of the  Director(s), so this didn't go down well. 

3. the contact management UX updates with v4 release removed multi-column filtering, or using alternative columns, besides contact's name, to sort. 

4. the fact you can't add multiple task-owners in project, means time-tracking becomes a bit skewed

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small, professional services organisation provide 365 consultancy and business-process solutions, we have the same challenges as large IT Consultancies but have to operate on fraction of the costs and resources. We operate across highly regulated industries, and different geographies, mostly working remotely and with high-degree of movement for our staff working in multiple clients and on several projects at any one time. Having been around more than 18-years, we developed various bad-habits, work-arounds, and acquired a set of tools overtime which were not very good a working together.

When one of core application providers decided to remove the project resource management toolset without a roadmap. We took the opportunity to review the range of modern tools and platforms, and looked over and compared multiple offerings from Monday.com through to Accelo. We settled on Accelo because it covered everything from our contacts, sales, contracts, project and resourcing, retainer mgmt and ticketing while providing extensive integrated reporting and a mobile experience. We could modernise our tools, remove 4 different providers and take opportunity to clean-up our business processes for: Contact and Sales management, Project coordination and time-management, and Customer portal and ticketing.

Accelo was it cost effective and the user's experience is consistent, integrated and seamless across all the different modules from CRM, sales, project mgmt, timesheeting, support ticketing and invoicing. We get out-of-the-box reporting and tracking, which is up to date, showing what's actually happening in our business.

We use Accelo everyday for our bsiness and one of the best things about Accelo is that it can replace a lot of tools and centralise the work and company information in one place, from emails, tickets, projects, invoices, etc. it has the ability to integrate to a handful of common tools. Customer support is fantastic and always quick to respond. A lot can be customised to suit various workflows. The time tracking is fantastic in being able to track time on mostly everything, without needing to use a different tool.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Like any PSA tool, it can take some time to setup. The downside to having everything in a central place is when you rely on it, when somethings don't work or some integrations being a bit basic, it can be difficult to then want to use it as central information. Lots of feature requests which seem to be coated in dust from years ago, but with the new V4 update, I'd love to see some of these feature requests actually actioned to make Accelo into a greater product!

Accelo solves our problems of time tracking and centralising client information, we can see all of our clients projects, tasks, tickets, and emails back and forth, without having to switch multiple apps or lose information. This saves a time and makes Accelo a single source of truth.

There are multiple ways of doing things that are confusing for teams, you have to go through way to many steps to complete a simple task. Their training for my team only covered the very basics and when requesting training multiple times I recieved little support or costs of over $5000 for things we should have been trained in from the beginning. When trying to get assistance because we were unhappy with their product and service they just kept trying to sign us onto longer contract commitments rather than helping us out. we used Accelo since 2020 until November 2024 and we should have dropped it after 3 months of trying it out. big mistake. A warning to others - They are very good on the sell and upsell but once signed up , the service level drops and it feels like a money grab. There are plenty of other systems out there that are less cumbersome , better value and offer better service.

The sheer number of fuctions that Accelo offers across the entire agency process: tracking leads and clients; tracking projects, tickets, and tasks; managing retainers, invoices, and billing. Accelo is like a Swiss Army knife for agencies. Plus, the assignment of permissions that allow staff to use those parts of the system applicable to them, along with granularity for many of its functions. The way that Accelo connects to the outside world (particuarly in relation to automatically matching customers to tickets). Once configured, it is the type of system that can fit natually into being used all day, every day, without strain inside an agency. (Note that it might have applicability outside of agencies, but I have only used in an agency environment.) Finally, there are mobile versions. I have montiored things on a phone and done work on a tablet. Not recommending that for daily operations, but it was very helpful in a pinch.

The only downside is the new logo. It doesn't show up when using Accelo in dark mode in a browser. That makes it hard to find Accelo in a sea of tabs. Other than that, there is a lot to love with Accelo.

Timesheet, Project and Reccuring contract management

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

The inconvinience to log times bulky, you can not select time and change it too easily

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving our project management problems and also it solves a major issue with invoiceing giving more flexibility with Invoice Wizzard to invoice bulky

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Invoicing and visibility of project retainer budgets. Setting up repeaters and invoicing clients is very easy compared to have two different systems (e.g. used to use Jira and Xero and have to create integrations that may break).

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

Lots of features still missing, e.g. the typing experience in Jira/Notion with smart text everywhere is far more capable. E.g. writing and logging tasks in description is only simple text, so we have to doa  workaround of logging in the stream for detailed explanation. Sometimes images don't even work properly. Also no dark mode.

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timetracking has always been difficult - so having timers available is very easy

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

I use Accelo every day for work. It is convenient that it syncs with Gmail, so I can easily log my time for emails on my daily timesheet. I like how I can manage my tickets and tasks and track their progress through statuses.
I have reached out to their support team a few times, and the questions were resolved quickly.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

While Gmail is integrated, a few emails seem to fall between the cracks. Most emails show up in my daily timesheet, but usually there are one or two missing.
I wish ticket statuses would update automatically based on email conversations, or that there was a checkbox when sending an email so I can easily update the status from there. Otherwise it's easy to forgot and the statuses aren't accurate.

Accelo makes it easy to track my billable time

**What do you like best about Accelo?**

Not much - They seem to have alot of issues with thier servers going down.

**What do you dislike about Accelo?**

thier support which you only get if you pay on top of everything else.  You cant even log a call to billing or support to let them know thier system has crashed

**What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its causing more issues than it resolves, espically with contracts and billing our clients
