**What do you like best about Torii?**

Torii gives us a truly comprehensive and real-time view of our entire SaaS landscape, from discovery to usage and spend, so we finally have one reliable source of truth instead of scattered spreadsheets and ad‑hoc reports. The automation and workflows around onboarding, offboarding, license reclamation and access reviews have removed a huge amount of manual work from IT and made our processes far more consistent and secure. Deep integrations with SSO, HR, finance and collaboration tools mean data flows seamlessly, renewals are tracked proactively, and we can have much stronger vendor and budget conversations with Finance. The interface is intuitive, new users ramp up quickly, and the customer success team is very proactive and easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

There is so much functionality that it can take some time to fully explore everything and decide which dashboards and workflows you want to standardize on for each stakeholder group. Advanced reporting and some very specific use cases may still require custom configuration, but support is responsive and helps close those gaps quickly

**What problems is Torii solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Torii has helped us uncover all SaaS in use (including shadow IT), reclaim underused licenses, remove duplicate tools and negotiate renewals with clear data, which has had a measurable impact on reducing SaaS spend. It centralizes contract, usage and cost information so IT, Finance, Security and HR can collaborate from the same platform and make faster, better decisions. Overall it turned SaaS management from a reactive, time‑consuming chore into a strategic capability that supports compliance, cost optimization and a better experience for our employees.

**What do you like best about Torii?**

Torii allows us to identify and understand all the SaaS applications used within our environment, the scope of their use, and their associated costs.  Now we don't just know that they are being used, but we better understand how and why they are being used.  Validating data from several sources helps build and understand these associations and actual costs.  We then classify identified applications based on several factors, such as their approval status, business risk, who is using them, etc.

Furthermore, we leverage workflows within Torii to surface alerts when new applications are discovered, or usage of a previously closed or restricted application is detected.  This allows us to take action quickly to determine the appropriate response.  We have also been using workflows to streamline onboarding and offboarding.  Doing so not only make the process faster and easier, but it provides us with an audit trail of what actions were performed and if they were successful or not.

I also appreciate all the Torii team members I have worked with. We have ongoing weekly meetings with our CSM to ensure things are going smoothly and address any issues or questions that may have come up.  She has been super helpful in collecting feedback and feature requests and then getting those passed on to their product and engineering teams.  And she gives status updates on those requests every week.  So I know they weren't just logged and forgotten; they are actually being worked on!   Whenever I contacted their support team, they responded quickly, are great to work with, and I almost always get the same couple of people which helps to build a feeling of trust. I couldn't ask for a better personal experience with their team, and it is clear that they want to ensure their product meets our needs and is a benefit to our organization.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

The product needs some additional refinement added to it in some areas.  While it does routinely receive updates that add new integrations and features, there are areas such as workflows which really need some quality of life improvements.  There are relatively simple improvements like including a name/label or description field within workflow steps that would make things much easier to navigate and understand. It's possible to have multiple workflow items that all look the same and so you currently need to click into them one-by-one to see their individual details and figure out which step you are looking for.  Being able to add some details which would be visible without needing to click into each item would go a long way towards making this more intuitive and streamlined, especially when it comes to troubleshooting or editing existing workflows.

The Torii team has been fantastic with taking our feedback, and they seem to have an aggressive development life cycle.  As with other things, I brought up this recent example and they asked that I enter a feedback request for it and that it would be discussed with the developers.

Sometimes companies will do that sort of thing and it feels like all your requests or suggestions just go into a big black hole and nothing comes of it.  But with Torii, many of the suggestions that we have submitted have already been implemented or are in discovery/development.  And they have been releasing new integrations, features and functionality regularly. They genuinely want to improve their product, and I am confident it will continue to evolve and improve.

**What problems is Torii solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Torii is helping us to identify the SaaS applications used within our environment and to understand the risks, usage, and expenses associated with those applications so that we can make better and more informed decisions as an organization.  They are also helping us streamline our operations around contract and expense management, onboarding/offboarding, and license management.

**What do you like best about Torii?**

Torii has provided us with an easy-to-use tool which surfaced a simple workflow for us to reign in our contracts across the company. We now have a centralized location where all of the terms and paperwork can live. It is very easy to setup and implement and the users find it easy to use. This has resolved issues we've had where different versions of contractual agreements existed in email with confusing versions/dates appended and our finance team struggled to stay on top of this. Torii ensures that responsible parties are frequently in the tool and maintaining their paperwork.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

Torii has quite a few integrations that are useful, but I would like to see more on the cloud and infrastructure security side of things. Other than that, I have not complaints or issues.

**What problems is Torii solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Torii is helping us maintain a single repository of the final versions of contractual paperwork. This has reduced the workload on many people across the company in chasing down paperwork to find the latest terms.

**What do you like best about Torii?**

It gives a good overview of all the tools our team is using and helps keep SaaS costs under control. The renewal tracking is useful, and the setup is pretty straightforward. It’s nice to finally have one place to see usage and licenses instead of chasing data across systems.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

I’d like to see more integrations with additional systems and SaaS platforms. User management and tracking could also be improved — sometimes it’s hard to get a full, accurate view of usage or access changes across all apps.

Some workflows feel limited and require manual adjustments to achieve accurate results, especially when dealing with complex user provisioning or license reconciliation. Reporting could be more flexible, and the UI sometimes feels slower when handling large datasets. Overall, it’s a good foundation but not yet a fully mature enterprise-grade solution.

**What do you like best about Torii?**

Torii does a decent job at giving visibility into our SaaS stack and helping track renewals and spend. The integration coverage is solid, and setup wasn’t too painful.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

The biggest problem is “last used” accuracy. Torii can lean on Okta session data, which is not the same as actual app session or in-app activity. A user can authenticate via Okta without really using the app, or they can use an app without going through Okta every time. That mismatch creates misleading inactivity flags and noisy recommendations. Reporting and customization are ok, but the data quality around usage undermines confidence.

**What problems is Torii solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Torii helps us automate SaaS license reclamation and manage unused accounts. We use workflows that trigger off user inactivity to remove or downgrade licenses, which saves both time and cost. It also centralizes app visibility so we can see who’s using what across the organization.

The main benefit is automation—less manual chasing and spreadsheet tracking. Even though the “last used” data isn’t always accurate (since it relies on Okta session data), the workflows still help enforce cleanup and drive accountability for app usage.

Comprehensive Visibility & Discovery
Torii gives us a truly unified view of our SaaS landscape. It uncovers both managed and unmanaged (shadow) applications, ties usage to identities, and surfaces hidden costs. This level of visibility has been a game-changer for managing software sprawl.

Automation & Workflow Intelligence
The automation features are very effective. Routine tasks—like license reclamation, access reviews, onboarding/offboarding—have become much more reliable and require less manual oversight. Torii’s ability to tie workflows to real usage and spending data adds meaningful context to its actions.

Cost Optimization & Governance
We’ve recovered unused licenses, cut redundant subscriptions, and gained insight into SaaS spend across departments. Torii’s policies and enforcement mechanisms help us reduce waste and maintain more disciplined software procurement.

Ease-of-Use and Onboarding
The interface is intuitive, dashboards are well designed, and getting new team members up to speed is relatively smooth. The feedback from staff outside IT has also been positive—they feel empowered to understand their tools.

Reporting Depth
Some advanced reporting or slicing of data could be better. There are scenarios where more customizable visualization or cross-dimensional reporting would help for executive dashboards.

Integration Coverage
While Torii supports many integrations, there have been occasional third-party tools (especially niche ones) where we had to build some custom bridges. Broadening the out-of-box connectors would strengthen the platform.

Occasional Detection Inaccuracy
In a few cases, license usage or application classification has been mis-attributed, especially for tools with complex bundling. These are rare but require manual adjustment.

That said, none of these are deal-breakers—they’re more “would-be-nice-to-haves” rather than critical gaps.

Torii is a strong, mature solution for companies wrestling with SaaS sprawl, rising costs, and governance complexity. I appreciate the ability to view license utilization per application and see how many users are actively using it. This feature helps us identify unused licenses and reduce costs, which is really beneficial. I also like the offboarding workflow that ensures access is removed properly and licenses are reclaimed when employees leave. The initial setup of Torii was pretty easy too.

I don't like that in license utilization, there is no custom attribute to use as a trigger based on the application type.

This product is reliable, intuitive, and simple to use. It highlights features that add value. In my role, I rely on it daily for e.g. employee access requests, security, compliance, and revenue optimization. The customer support is excellent. There is a broad selection of integrations, and the option to integrate through Google Sheets serves as a great fallback whenever a direct integration is not yet available.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

The workflow implementation has some limitations, especially when it comes to editing and maintaining workflows. It would be great if a simple BPML editor were used, which would help to support e.g. branching and merging flows, and the ability to import and export workflows.

**What do you like best about Torii?**

Torii has a really clean user interface.  The onboarding and offboarding functionality is straightforward and valuable to ensure controls are adhered to.  I have not used a competing product, so I cannot provide a detailed comparison.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

One of the Torii platform's biggest draws is the ability to track usage across products.  However, to have this visibility, you need to have everyone in the company using the correct web sign-on.   This makes adoption challenging and lowers the usability of any resulting usage data.

**What problems is Torii solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Torii is primarily helping our company manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees.  I hope to leverage it further to have all users update the products they own with contract details so Torii can give updates on renewals for the entire tech stack.  We also originally purchased Torii to help centralize the tech contracts and ownership, to give better visibility into coming renewals and product sponsors.

Usage/Activity monitoring for detecting stale licenses.
On & offboarding automations to simplify tasks required by IT right out of the box.
Custom HTTP requests for everything else.

The syntax for API requests and populating JSON doesn't work very well due to the use of square bracket [] characters.
Still missing the option to provision users to have access to the torii Platform from an IdP.

Torii shows me all the things I don't know about.

This is a great tool for monitoring SaaS governance, particularly when it comes to managing Shadow IT. It also offers strong features for overseeing governance and tracking the entire SaaS lifecycle. The platform provides decent policy enforcement capabilities as well. Overall, I found it easy to set up, and its user interface is intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

The main area where I see room for improvement is in integrations. While it does offer some, they aren't as robust as those provided by certain competitors, particularly if you're looking to connect with tools like SOAR or other automation platforms.

Torri is a data driven, modern, easy to use system that solves problems for multiple stockholders in the company. it allows beautiful BI visualizations and meaningful insights.

Currently some of the features are pretty lean, it's interesting to see how they will be developed in the future.

Torri creates a single source of truth to both budget owners and analysts. It reduces manual reports and provides insights on procurement and usage that eventually saves you money.

**What do you like best about Torii?**

Since we started using Torii three years ago, it has become an indispensable tool in our technological stack. It continues to improve and add automation functions that have made many tasks that were manual in the past easier. In addition, the excellent technical support and the ease with which our recommendations are listened to make Torii a 100% necessary tool for any company.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

- Custom integrations are still complicated to implement; development skills are required to implement them.
- Software detection sometimes doesn't update the database, and we ask users to add applications manually.
- We've noticed some false positives in software detection, for example: people using the browser in a private profile, and Torii still alerts them about new SaaS applications when it shouldn't.

**What problems is Torii solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are currently working on revamping and automating our entire onboarding and offboarding process with Torii. We were able to do this thanks to the integration with HR Workday and the ease of creating processes and process derivations and customized workflows.

It is very easy to use and get visibility into all our SaaS apps in one place. It saves a ton of time and helps us stay on top of usage and costs without digging through a bunch of spreadsheets.

Less robust reporting compared to specialized analytics tools.

Torii helps us get full visibility into all the SaaS tools our company is using, including ones we didn’t even know were being used. Torii has become the Single Source of Truth for SaaS applications management and it is a critical application for our Security and Compliance Processes and audits. Thanks to its capabilities we can easily integrate HR and IT systems and check the box for multiple areas of ISO27001 audit. Lovely product built with security mindset and has great design and experience working with it.

I don't have any examples, Tori is really a great product.

Tori is covering multiple areas, especially IT Operations and Secrity Compliance processes (onboarding, offboarding of employees, access management, asset mangement, single source of truth, approval workflows and ease of automation, notifications etc.). 

Thanks to all the integrations Tori supports it perfectly fits our company culture and tech stack, which helped our IT Ops team to improve efficiency by 50%.

I appreciate that I can assign owners to each vendor, which helps ensure accountability. Additionally, the platform provides complete visibility into all company subscriptions.

The AI feature doesn't always work, which means we often have to fill in the fields manually.

**What do you like best about Torii?**

There are many things I love about Torii:
- The workflow system is incredibly complex yet fairly easy to use. I was able to create automated workflows for renewals, onboardings, offboardings, and even intruder alerts.
- The App Catalog system is a great help for keeping tracks of any access request.
- Offboardings now generate a Slack notification, and that makes a huge difference for anyone with SLAs on their offboardings.
- The interface is very readable and it makes any renewal meeting much easier.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

The pricing is very high, and while it's better than other products for the same use, I'd still consider new alternatives.

**What do you like best about Torii?**

I like Torii for it's ability to help discover Shadow IT. It has been essential in learning about new AI platforms being used within the company as well as non-sanctioned SaaS tooling which has helped us immensely from a governance and security perspective across our org.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

I wish Torii had features that woud allow us to detect software and tooling running locally on an endpoint rather than just within a browser as an extension. For example, being able to detect developer installed extensions or local applications would be a great help in closing the gap.

**What problems is Torii solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Torii is helping us solve Shadow IT and rogue AI use within our company. It is a valuable add-on to our IAM and SSO tooling.

What stands out the most is visibility + automation. Torii completely changed the way our SaaS stack was managed. We knew some of the tools in use, but had no clear picture of all the “shadow” apps.

I wish they would have more features in the Pro plan.

Offboarding, single source of truth.

Torii solved this by giving us a single source of truth for all SaaS usage and spend. It automatically discovers every app in use. The automation workflows around provisioning and deprovisioning have saved hours of manual work and significantly reduced access risk.

Usage reports is what I like the most. It's only for the last 30 days but most of the time it gives you an idea of who can be removed from the system to free up a seat for others.
Workflows are also pretty powerfull to automate the rutine.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

I would like to see more integrations available in Torii because that is where you get the most of the benefits. Workflow triggers are limited by certain events. Also it would be nice to have the monthly cost per license and expenses visibility per department.

Torii is streamlining software management across organizations. It efficiently tracks and manages the multitude of SaaS applications in use, helping to reduce unnecessary spending and avoid software duplication. This tool also ensures compliance with IT policies and enhances security by monitoring app usage and user access. Personally, Torii has been instrumental in providing clear visibility into our software ecosystem, aiding in budget optimization and ensuring we fully leverage our technology investments.

**What do you like best about Torii?**

Ability to streamline and automate a lot of manual tasks. While many companies do this, Torii does do a really great job with their workflow builder. They have great documentation on their integrations and keep them up to date.

**What do you dislike about Torii?**

Workflow builder could use another view as an added option. It currently starts from the top and works downwards. It would be nice to have a horizontal flow view especially for those workflows that contain a lot of action steps. While it does have the ability to zoom outwards to give you a larger view, it doesn't scale properly so it is difficult to read.

Onboarding/Offboarding, SaaS spend, unused licensing.

Within the first week, Torii uncovered 47 SaaS applications we didn't know existed! The discovery capabilities are genuinely impressive. By connecting to our SSO, finance systems, and browser extensions, we finally got complete visibility into our tech stack. I was shocked at how many shadow IT apps were hiding in plain sight.
The dashboard clearly shows everything in one place, making it easy to track usage and spot redundant tools. This alone justified the investment for us.

Linking related apps that are related to one company under one tree. For example Atlassian includes Jira yet they show as two separate apps.

Seeing the different extensions, despite the browser, and applications being used with the company email.  Sometimes people think it's harmless to sign up for software, especially if it's free.  This helps us understand which applications people are using and the risk behind them.

There should be more prebuilt connectors with more applications.  Especially the HRIS.  Unless you have ADP or one of the very few HRIS systems, it won't work for you.

Semi-automatic offboarding and responsiveness of the Torii team - you can request features they don't have, and they will (within reason) accommodate you the best they can.

Not much negative to say. It could have more automation in place with regards to offboarding specific tools but this list is growing all the time.

Offboarding is aided by Torii greatly. Also helps in knowing who is using what and how often so we can make decisions on which suppliers to retire, etc.
