“Clio Ignores Fixing Clunky Features While Rolling out Expensive Ones at an Additional Cost”
What do you like best about Clio Manage?

This is a robust program that is widely used by small firms. It's a good software hub. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Clio Manage?

Clio's competitors outperform Clio in terms of important features and making those features work properly. When we request for Clio to fix clunky parts of their program, the response is simply that features are improved based upon how many requests they have for improvements yet Clio creates additional cost features annually. For example:

1. While Clio does have a communications portal for clients and office team members, it lacks common sense features such as the ability to leave internal messages or messages from clients as "unread" and still in bold font-so they just about disappear with the other messages. This is a common feature that should be fixed. This is a huge time waster.

2. Within Clio Grow (the CRM for potential clients), team members are not alphabetized so when trying to set a task for potential clients I have to scroll through over 30 team members who can only be sorted by the date that they were hired slashed entered into the Clio program. It's an aggravating waste of time. I don't understand why Clio can't fix this.

3. Jack Newton, the Clio CEO advocates for alternative billing arrangements such as flat fee billing but, the Clio dashboard is based upon billable hours for productivity. We are flat fee billing firm because clients prefer that. Why can’t we have a dashboard that’s based on flat fee billing like Jack recommends?

4. Clio has a rudimentary kanban board called "Matter Stages," that is useless because it only allows for attorneys but not paralegals to be assigned to the matters. It's unclear why this hasn't been fixed. Certainly Clio knows that paralegals, and not just attorneys would like to use this feature. We have to buy a separate program and make it connect to Clio using another program and that’s a lot of money being wasted.

5. Clio charges for bookkeeper to have a license rather than offering this without charge. Of course, the bookkeeper is not using the vast majority of features, they use the billing and financial portion of the program which is very limited. I don't understand why Clio is charging full price for this when other firm management programs don't charge for this at all.

6. Clio says that they improve the program based upon requests from their users but, their "Big Improvements" seem to be based on AI and are only available at an very expensive extra charge.

7. We have to pay for a subscription for a reporting program that pulls data from Clio because the reporting that Clio offers is insufficient.

8. Clio is already expensive compared to its competitors and it's hard to switch to a new case management software when you have a relatively large team like we do (33 users). I would not complain about the cost of Clio if they would fix their features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Assembly Neos?

The features I cherish the most about Neos is its accessibility related details. These include the tabs, cases, customization, quick note options, file dragging and clickable icons. As a first time user of these applications; the learning process was extremely efficient, fast and commendable. I use NEOS everyday and my functions at times require simultaneously calendar, intake, file uploading, checks, and case work: all of which are smoothly coexisting with NEOS. Furthermore, with the whole firm working with NEOS; all our clients are smoothly integrated into our case files and our work is easily imputed and uploaded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Assembly Neos?

I must confess that in recent times I have not at all enjoyed the new updates or editions to its software. Its newer updates have added unnecessary cluttering tabs and options. The software itself has become slower; as I mentioned in my likes- it is so important to me to have multiple tabs open to work most efficiently. Although NEOS is still powerful, I confess that it is slightly weaker than older models. I have not had the most reliable costumer support unfortunately as well. What problems is Assembly Neos solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main "problem" Neos would be solving is inefficient case management and handlining. Without the NEOS system,, our workload would be quadrupled, easily. My main complaint is when I put an event on my calendar using my app, my paralegal cannot see it on her end. I have to go into My Case on a laptop and assign a color to the event before it shows up on my paralegal's calendar. It is just annoying. It's currently taking away additional efforts to compile documentation prior sending a demand, it allows our firm to keep track of every expense and allows us to maintain accurate reports.

With Filevine AI we no longer have to worry about reviewing Medical Records or Police reports, AI creates A Medical Summary allowing me the opportunity to focus on more details in less time to prepare for a demand, Demands AI is also making me to get rid of paying others for prepare a demand, I now can trust in Demands AI by Filevine to prepare a demand package that previously could´ve taken me 4 -8 hrs to prepare to only less than an hour. What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?

I am currently the Business Office Manager for a law firm that uses Tabs3 software. I have used many accounting software packages and this one has been my favorite so far. I find the software is very easy to use, I like how it is designed, and the customer service is exceptional. In my position, I use Tabs billing, AP, Trust, and the GL heavily. I also use the Taskbill module to bill a few of my clients. We use Papercut to track our printing costs and TABs supports integration with that product as well. What do you like best about Lawmatics?

I like Lawmatics because it allows me to keep everything in one place. I appreciate being able to create templates to quickly generate documents that I regularly file for my clients. Lawmatics also has great service; if I have a problem or run into an issue I can't solve, they are generally able to help me get back on track very quickly. Additionally, I think the ability to create templates is incredibly helpful, as we've created well over 100 templates that work very well. very easy to use and customer support is above average. I would like to be able to create a chatbot to simulate conversations with prospective clients. And also do a little bit of a better job on their document generation. no chat bot built in, but integrates with intaker, which integrates well and creates matters automatically. I like Memtime because I can view my times down to the minute or in thirty-minute blocks, which helps me either have a really quick overview of what I've done today or check what I've done in the last hour when I've switched between clients. It would be good to be able to drag my time in batches to make just one time slot for a client. So say if I've worked five minutes here, thirty minutes there, ten minutes there, it'd be great to select those three time slots and make them just one entry that will go over to Xero projects. It would also be useful to have a few additional options for customizing views, which would allow for even better adaptation of the program to one's own work style. However, these are rather minor suggestions than actual drawbacks, as the system operates stably on a daily basis and fulfills its role without any reservations. Amberlo primarily solves the problem of information dispersion and the necessity of using many different tools. The best feature of CloudLex is being able to message clients. This makes my job easier since clients struggle with sending emails so being able to send them a quick text makes it easier for them to send photos. The only downside I could think of is not being able to share the insurance with matters that are apart of the case. It feels repetitive to put the same insurance in 3 different cases rather than having a button that shares it with all three like how you can share documents and notes. I appreciate that eimmigration by Cerenade automates tasks that were a bottleneck for us in the past. Our paralegal staff like using it, which has made the transition very smooth. Being able to complete multiple forms at a time with questionnaire data is a huge time saver for us. They have a great video library that explains how to use the various features. What do you dislike about eimmigration by Cerenade?
