Clio Manage's unlimited document storage with the ability to search content of documents, pdf within the program, and combine documents within the program is invaluable. We have used Clio for a decade or more. We left for another program but quickly returned to Clio.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Clio Manage can require too many steps, such as not being able to create a task directly from/related to a calendar event and not being able to assign a task to more than one person.

Clio Manage keeps everything from contacts, to tasks, to calendar all in one place.

Clio Manage truly serves as a one-stop shop for us. We appreciate how it stores all our documents in one place, allows us to move smoothly between clients, and makes billing straightforward and hassle-free.

I generally don't encounter many issues with Manage. However, my main concern is that matters created in Manage do not sync over to Grow.

Previously, we relied on several different interfaces to accomplish tasks that we can now handle entirely within Manage. This shift has transformed our workflow and significantly increased our firm's efficiency.

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Clio Manage has completely streamlined our firm’s operations. The interface is intuitive, and the cloud-based access means our team can work securely from anywhere. Time tracking, billing, and document management are all seamlessly integrated, and the reporting tools provide valuable insights into firm performance. The integrations with Microsoft 365 and Clio Grow are especially powerful, allowing us to automate tasks and reduce administrative overhead.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

There’s a bit of a learning curve when setting up more advanced features, but Clio’s support team and knowledge base make it easy to get up to speed. Occasional updates can slightly shift the UI, but they’re always improvements in the long run.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage has eliminated the need for multiple disconnected tools. We now have a centralized platform for case management, billing, calendaring, and client communication. This has improved our efficiency, reduced errors, and allowed us to deliver a better client experience. It’s also made remote work and collaboration much easier.

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Strong database and interoperability.  Texting feature is good.  There's enough depth that you can track the way you want.

The accounting software is very good.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Search feature is weak-great in the case and client names, but fails to correctly search custom fields.  For example, if you have case numbers set up as a custom field you can ONLY give a complete search parameter-so you need to enter the full case number, but it won't search for the last four digits.

Some of the organizational choices are odd.

The AI isn't strong.

Finally, when you create a contact and add info-ie phone numbers-when you look at them later that will be labeled as other even though you entered it as mobile.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Modern practice management requires case management software.  I have tried three extensively-Amicus (20+yrs), MyCase (1 yr) and now two years with Clio.  Clio is the best of the bunch.  My Amicus database began reporting bad due dates (there and then gone and then back again.)  That's the stuff of malpractice claims.  MyCase was just disappointing in use.  Clio, warts and all, is easy to work with.

Clio manage is an all encompassing workhorse. I absolutely love the ability to text and email bills as well as text updates to the clients.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I would love to pull up the agenda view for the day I am working on and be able to put it in alphabetical order for that time. We have sometimes 40 cases set at one time and it would be more efficient to have it alphabetize so I can pull files faster.

Having all the information centralized in one place allows me to find what I need very quickly. In our fast-paced industry, I constantly need to access information, and because it scans the text, I can work much more efficiently.

It is everything in one. I like that we can create documents, manage the calendar, text and email with our clients and other staff, all through Clio. Training new employees on Clio is a breeze because it is so user friendly. Customer service is great and always quick to get me answers and help. I love that Clio intergrates with our emails and phone system. Anything done on the case, can be seen in clio.

Billing. The billing is okay, but it's not a feature I love, or even like. It needs more customize options for our specific needs.

Clio's technology allows me to handle all of my administrative tasks online for my solo practice, which not only frees up my time to focus on my clients—the part I truly enjoy—but also almost completely removes the sense of dread I usually feel when it comes to managing those essential administrative duties.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Setting up Clio Manage for the first time has been and continues to be a challenge for me when it comes to achieving the tasks I want to complete efficiently. For instance, I struggled with issuing invoices because I wasn't sure how to create an invoice without relying on Quick Bill. Additionally, it took me quite a while to set up my engagement letter template, as I didn't know how to turn the engagement letter I had created for my solo practice into a usable template within Clio Manage. I had a clear idea of how I wanted the template to appear, but I found it difficult to figure out how to make that happen in the software.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage offers a centralized database for all the information I require in my practice. With its search function, I can quickly and easily locate what I need whenever necessary. This feature has proven to be a significant time saver, allowing me to access important information promptly without spending unnecessary time searching.

I like how organized each matter can be. Everything is very neatly compartmentalized and it's easy to find exactly what I'm looking for, whether it's regarding the status of an invoice, tracking a task or seeing the most recent edits on a timeline.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

I frequently encounter issues with syncing, especially when it comes to integrations like Zoom. For example, when I try to create a Zoom meeting, I often find that I've been logged out, which interrupts the process. I also regularly experience syncing problems with Outlook. Crashes are common, and I often have to attempt filing an email several times before I can even begin searching for the matter to file it under.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clio Manage is very helpful when it comes to communication in our firm. You can see exactly when edits are made to a document, or who created a document, closing the bridge for confusion of responsibility. If I have a question about anything regarding the matter, it's clear who I need to ask.

I love how Clio listens to its clients when it comes to enhancements for their software. It's also wonderful that they offer an annual conference where you can network with other Clio clients and obtain information about new integrations and software enhancements.

If anything, it would be nice to see the types of reports that can be pulled based on input fields be expanded. I do regularly make suggestions via online chat with their staff.

It's great to have all of our information in one place, which assits in avoiding duplication of tasks. The fact that it's available via their mobile app is a great feature for attorneys.

Clio Manage helps keep everything organized—cases, billing, and documents are all in one place. I can easily create invoices or check deadlines on my phone whenever I need to. The two platforms sync seamlessly, which saves me a lot of time. If you’re a lawyer hoping to make your work life easier in 2025, these tools are an obvious choice.

I wish that the calendar entries automatically gave you reminders. The reminder set up is tedious.

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I am new to Clio this year, and it has already made a huge difference in my practice. The biggest improvement has been in streamlining my intake process—everything feels more organized and efficient. I also really appreciate the ability to communicate with clients through Clio, whether by text or via the secure client portal. It allows me to stay connected without having to give out my personal cell phone number, which adds a layer of professionalism and convenience for both me and my clients.

Overall, Clio has made my practice run more smoothly, and I’m glad I made the switch.

It's not very intuitive.  I've had to have meetings with Clio specialists and watch several how-to videos to figure things out

Clio makes it much easier for me to communicate with my clients, as I no longer have to manually copy emails and text messages into their files. The intake forms are also quite helpful because the information clients provide is entered directly into our system.

The ability to organize documents and notes meaning my attorney can work 100% remotely. I can add to his files, phone logs or case notes while he is in court and I am in the office, which was a gamechanger.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

There are some features not intuitive for the practice area. But anytime you have feedback or want to know how to work with a feature, Clio is 1000% willing to listen, help and support.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization and pocketing as well as billing. Being able to find what needs to have hands laid on it immediately, even from an airplane or another country is the greatest benefit. My attorney is headed to Columbia for a yoga retreat. But I can send him bills for approval. Upload client evidence and anything else for him to work and review....quite literally from anywhere.

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

Some of my favorite features of Clio Manage include the ability to create billing categories for quick invoicing, the Dashboard, and how easy it is to add (or import from Clio Grow) new client information.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

One suggestion I have is for the interface to offer tips or suggestions that help streamline repetitive tasks. The platform has a lot of features, and I suspect there are more efficient ways to accomplish some tasks, but I haven't had the chance to explore all the options yet.

**What problems is Clio Manage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The integration among Clio Manage, Clio Grow, and Clio Accounting is outstanding. It significantly reduces the need for additional software.

I do marketing so I don’t use Clio as much as the rest of our staff but I’ve found it very easy to navigate and the reports are incredibly helpful. It’s a good way to find information about our matters and clients quickly. I particularly find the client source field and metrics ti be most helpful.

Having to do separate out a matter for each person involved in a it can be frustrating, but it sounds like that is being addressed!

It allows for me to look at reports and stats about clients, matters, and settlement amounts.

I sometimes struggle to fully grasp the capabilities and limitations of certain features. Although the Clio Resource pages are helpful, there are times when I need more detailed explanations.

**What do you like best about Clio Manage?**

I was the Managing Partner of a boutique law firm that purchased a license to Time Slips in the early 2000s. We migrated to Amazon Web Services as a host for our billing program and the iManage document management system (DMS). When Timeslips and iManage stopped supporting individual licenses, we needed to migrate to a new cloud solution.  I was very apprehensive about learning a new billing software platform, but I am so glad that I took the risk. It is more stable, intuitive, streamlined, and fun to use. I highly recommend!! The customer support made the data migration painless and without a glitch. It took approximately 30-60 days to fully implement, and the process went smoothly. I use this program every day for most of the day and love the timer, which allows me to record my time accurately and honestly.

**What do you dislike about Clio Manage?**

Pros: ease of use, ease of migration, ease of integration, cost, quicker pay, and more straightforward reminders to delinquent accounts. 
Cons: payment processing fees for clients who pay by eCheck or credit card.

Month-end billing time consumption - - much faster. Slow-paying clients.

What used to take hours across multiple systems can now be done in minutes with just a few clicks. Clio’s automation tools—especially for invoicing and reminders—save us time and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

While Clio offers tiered pricing, many of its most useful features (such as advanced reporting, document automation, or custom fields) are locked behind the upper-tier plans. When you add on Clio Grow for client intake and CRM, the overall cost can be significant. For smaller firms or solo practitioners, this may feel like a hefty investment that doesn't always justify the return. The task and calendar systems are serviceable but feel basic and sometimes disconnected. For example, tasks don’t always sync intuitively with events or matter workflows, and recurring task setup lacks flexibility. This can lead to inefficiencies in complex litigation or transactional practices with multiple moving parts.

Problem: Time tracking was inconsistent and billing often delayed, leading to revenue leakage.
Solution: Clio allows for real-time time tracking directly within matters or through its mobile app, and seamlessly converts time entries into invoices.
Benefit: Billable time capture has significantly improved, invoices go out faster, and collections are more predictable.
