The Customer Support team has consistently demonstrated a willingness to assist and has provided valuable support in resolving issues encountered during our migration from our previous TMS to XTM. **What do you dislike about XTM Cloud?** While XTM offers many valuable features for managing localization projects, I have found the user experience (UX) to be less intuitive than expected. Great support, we are receving answers to our queries very fast and the support team is always very friendly and helpful. It is a very user-friendly application and users can familiarise themselves with it very quickly. The option of creating filter templates means that documents can be pre-processed significantly faster. XTM also offers interfaces for integrating numerous other applications, such as various MT engines for MTPE jobs. Isn't that the essence of a CAT tool after all? - The overall look of the platform. It supports long hours of work. - The ease of adding new terms to terminology. - The option to import translation memory. It's a straightforward and helpful process that I love using. - XTM is designed with the linguist in mind. - The useful filters. - The ability to create personal shortcuts for different symbols. This feature is so practical in french! - The ease of exporting source and target files in their original format rather than XLIFF. - The team is always listening and looking for ways to improve. - Customer service is available for queries, and they reply very quickly. - I highly recommend XTM. It's one of the best tools on the market. There are many more features I love about this tool. Let's just say I like everything about XTM. **What do you dislike about XTM Cloud?** - My experience using it on Firefox is seamless. However, on Chrome and Edge, I get signed out automatically after a certain amount of time. I'm working with customer service to figure out the setting to adjust in Chrome. - I hope that soon enough they'll give us the opportunity to integrate tools like Antidote (at least for French) to help spot all spelling, typography and grammatical errors. - I'd prefer a one-time subscription fee. **What problems is XTM Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having a translation memory that is reliable. I can see the workflows and files separately. I have different ways of downloading target files. I can choose the workflow steps to work on. I can assign different steps for the workflow like Correct or Review after translation. **What do you dislike about XTM Cloud?** If you don't write the correct name of a project, it won't appear. You have to put one key word specifically to find it. I don't like that. I'd like to copy/paste the name and be able to find my project. **What problems is XTM Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps me organize my projects and get the resources I need for each project easily. Some of the problems are the search. Sometimes you have to go to advanced search to find a project. XTM has solved some issues when having an urgent translation project. For example, I used the MT for a project we couldn't translate. Generally TMS seem to be made for one of those three groups, but XTM tries to cater for all of them. It's a really good tool in general, with more than just the basic functions you'd expect. **What do you dislike about XTM Cloud?** There are a few things that we miss: An easy query system for linguists that allow linguists of all languages to see questions and answers for a specific segment. The statistics show word counts based on target text but we pay our team based on source word count, so we get a lot of questions each month. The reporting section is not working reliably, there is definitely some room for improvement. **What problems is XTM Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's the best TMS we've found. We no longer have to send out packages to the translators and word files to the customer for review. Everything happens in the same environment and all changes are automatically logged by the system. It is therefore very easy to go back and check who made a change. The visual editor also makes it a lot easier for the translators and reviewers as they can see what they are doing. Colors used to be an issue because there was no way to see what was being meant if multiple colors were combined. Now everyone can see these colors in the visual editor and the issue no longer exists. It is also an easy tool to learn. We have learned multiple people who have never worked in a CAT tool how to use XTM in a few hours. **What do you dislike about XTM Cloud?** It takes longer to generate bigger files as we work on the cloud which is shared by multiple customers. If there is an issue with XTM or a server goes down, everything stops and we have to wait until the servers are back. They always solved our issues efficiently. The tool is so simple and fast, accessible from any computer, a lot better than Trados and Smartling. It also increases my speed as a translator. I changed computer once and was able to authorize the device and start translating there in seconds, which is very good! **What do you dislike about XTM Cloud?** When I open a project to check the number of words I should translate (under Statistics and then clicking my language) if the project contains more than one folder I need to open and close one by one, check statistics and then close it and go again to filter in projects, as I cannot go directly to the second and following folders. This is tedious and slow. How can I check the total number of words of a whole project (not a single file but many files) at once? without having to press the right button, Statistics, Language, and Words to be translated...? and it also takes me a while to find the words to be translated as it is further down below the screen. It should be more visible. When I am doing Corrector files the system takes a while to refresh, if I send too many sentences proofread it gets frozen and I need to refresh several times. I get the impression that I am faster reviewing than the tool sending units :D but I noticed this got a bit faster lately, I think it is improving... **What problems is XTM Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** I don't need to worry about backups any more, data are constantly updated and secure. It is not device-dependent.No complex parameters as in Trados.
