## Gridly Reviews
  ### 1. Easy Access, Real-Time Translation Comparisons, and a Reliable Ticket System

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sami Kerem U. | Freelance Translator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Ease of access to any translation grid.

Ability to see references and compare translations in other languages in real time.

Convenient Q&A tools.

Reliable and simple ticket system that allows asking questions and receiving answers easily, with media support.

User friendly interface that explains everything without crowding the main work area.

Seldom down, allowing users to work at almost any time.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

Not much, apart from the lack of options to customize the personal experience (visual/functional settings for individual users). Since this is due to the inherent design of the product, it doesn't really bother me.

One other lacking feature is the ability to track progress of your translation work. Since the batches are not attached to individual translators, it is not possible to track the workflow reliably.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's just a very reliable and simple online translation tool. Knowing that I can rely on it while working is enough for me, and it does much more than that. Allows for clear and easy communication, a simple workflow and easy access to any project at the click of a button.

  ### 2. Gridly gets things done… fast and effective

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

One of the standout features of Gridly is its flexibility. It is very easy to add, remove or change the setup of a grid. Ability to have different views for different tasks is also very useful but the best is responsiveness of the team and adding new features allowing for more and more automations. For example, as part of my workflow I combine specific views with only up-to-date strings with automated exports of the files to update external translation CAT tool.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

One specific feature we would like the team to upgrade is imports warning handling. With relatively complex team composition in our organization, this is important to us. We have learned to use workarounds but solid warning handling would be helpful.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest win for us are automations (link between the games and translation software) and APIs.

  ### 3. Efficient Localization, Needs More Batch Export Options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel C.

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

I like that you can export all the target languages to one file, which makes it easier to share. Creating separate grids for various strings like UI and VO is another feature I appreciate. The initial setup seemed rather simple to me.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

I would like to be able to export batches of strings of my choosing, but that feature doesn't seem to be available. Being able to add comments to the strings that don't have to be reflected in the game metadata. Just something for people using Gridly.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gridly for localizing game text. It helps in tracking changes, organizing text, sorting, exporting, and translating. Exporting all target languages to one file makes sharing easier. I also like creating separate grids for various strings.

  ### 4. Much more than a translation tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dagbjört J. | Director of Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Gridly is so powerful. Not only a translation tool, the intuitive grid setup and the API connection means we now also use it publish various types of content directly into our games, such as News and Competitions. Views, filters, searches and access controls makes it our preferred grid tool, over Google Sheets in many cases.
The Gridly team is also very helpful. If we as customer report issues, they are often fixed the next day.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

Our language and content databases are huge, and we can sometimes feel it when using Gridly, as it slows down when working with tens of thousands of rows.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us publish various types of content directly into our games, such as News, Competitions and in-game content. We are also currently implementing more types of content management with it.
It helps us visualize content in an intuitive way, allowing content creators to manage and organize it without programmer involvement.
And having it directly connected to the translation system makes our pipelines a lot more seamless

**Official Response from Thy Nguyen:**

> Thanks for leaving a review! We’re glad to hear Gridly is helping you publish various types of content into your games and making your pipeline more seamless. We understand the slowdown issues with large grids, and we’re actively working on improvements to ensure a smoother experience in the future.

  ### 5. Gridly Makes Localization Way Easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denis I. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

I really like how Gridly keeps everything organized in one place. It feels like a spreadsheet but with way more power behind it — perfect for managing all the different languages and content in a game. The ability to track changes, work with teammates in real time, and hook it up to tools like Unity or Git is super helpful. It saves a lot of back-and-forth and makes the whole localization process smoother and faster. And they have the best customer support ever — love it!

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

It can be a bit overwhelming at first, especially if you’re not used to tools like this. Some of the more advanced stuff takes time to figure out, and the help docs could be clearer in places.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gridly is solving a few big problems that come up when working with game content and localization:

1. Messy content management
Before Gridly, it was easy for content to get scattered across spreadsheets, emails, and different tools. Gridly keeps everything in one place — text, translations, updates — so it's way easier to stay organized and avoid errors or duplicate work.

2. Poor collaboration between teams
Writers, translators, developers, and QA can all work in the same system, with real-time updates and permission settings. That means less miscommunication and fewer delays when making changes or adding new content.

3. Lack of version control
Gridly’s branching and versioning features let you track changes and test different content without breaking the main version. That’s been super helpful when experimenting with dialogue or UI text.

4. Manual, repetitive work
With integrations and APIs, a lot of tasks like syncing translations, pushing content to the game engine, or checking for missing entries can be automated. It saves a lot of time and reduces the chance of human error.

How it’s benefiting me:
Overall, Gridly speeds up localization, keeps our content consistent across languages, and helps our team work better together. It’s made managing content updates during live ops and events a lot less stressful.

**Official Response from Thy Nguyen:**

> Thank you for the review! We're delighted to hear that Gridly has made your localization process smoother and faster. We'll take your feedback about the learning curve and documentation into consideration as we strive to make Gridly more user-friendly for all our customers. And it's great that you love the customer support team - I'll make sure to pass this to the team!

  ### 6. Best localization tool in the gaming industry

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric L. | Localization Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Gridly has allowed us to scale up the localization on our projects in a way that wasn't achievable before, centralizing everything for the team. Its multiple plugins and versatility also help us customize it for each project. The Gridly team is also incredibly helpful and receptive to new ideas.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

Implementation with Unreal and mapping English can be a bit tricky with some workarounds required. It would also be nice to have HTML tags implemented in a preview function. The conflict management tool during importing can also be a bit finicky.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gridly provides a centralized space where everybody on the team can access string content (the translators themselves, the marketing team, designers, community managers, etc). It also provides ways to automate and standardize the localization process, which lowers the risks of human error.

**Official Response from Thy Nguyen:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Gridly! We’re thrilled to hear that our tool has helped streamline your localization projects. We understand your concerns about implementation with Unreal and mapping English, and we’re continuously working to improve our platform with your feedback in mind.

Regarding the HTML tags in the preview function and the import warnings, I’ll forward these to our development team so we can work on solutions. If you encounter any other issues or have further suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.

  ### 7. Best CMS on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Gridly is the best experience I've had with a CMS. I like its spreadsheet-like interface, which makes it pretty easy to use.
The customer support is great, they are always actively working on any improvement we need. Gridly really makes it easy to collaborate with everyone in your organization. It's intuitive and powerful.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

I did not like that Gridly did not ship on release with all of the same features I frequently used in its predecessor Loc Direct. But the Gridly support team are helping me with anything missing that I might need.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gridly is helping me manage the content of projects we are translating. Without it, things can get very messy between so many different people handling the text of the project at the same time.

  ### 8. Fast, Effortless Localization Database Search

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

I love the ability to go through a localization database and find the required entries with almost no waiting time.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

Lack of character count indication. Sometimes display issues occur, and you need to copy two entries to count their lengths, while it could be done on the user side.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the text correction and implementation of LQA testing in gaming industry

**Official Response from Vaclav Kamenicek:**

> Thanks a lot for taking the time to share your feedback! We’re really glad to hear Gridly helps you move quickly through large localization databases and supports LQA work in game localization.

Regarding character counts: Gridly shows character length indicators once a length limit is defined for a string or column. You can set these limits directly in the Grid (for individual entries or in bulk), including options for target-language expansion. When a limit is active, the UI displays the current character count and highlights over-length strings automatically, so there’s no need to copy text elsewhere to measure it.

If your workflow relies on checking text fit during LQA, adding length limits (or importing them from a “max length” column) will make those indicators visible directly in the Grid and CAT editor. See more details here - https://help.gridly.com/en/length-limit

  ### 9. Intuitive and fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Irma D. | Localization Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Localization imports and exports are quick and straightforward, with an intuitive and clear user interface.
The plugin integrations have greatly simplified our workflow.
Most importantly, customer support is efficient, easily accessible, and responsive to customer feedback.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

It would be helpful to have detailed alert reports for new and edited source strings, especially highlighting differences.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gridly has significantly accelerated our localization process.
For the first time, we have all our content centralized in one place, and it can be used for virtually any type of asset.
The plugin integrations have made a major positive impact on our workflow, streamlining tasks that used to be time-consuming.
Most importantly, Gridly's customer support is incredibly responsive and genuinely committed to continuously improving the platform.

  ### 10. Gridly simplified the headache that comes with complex localization workflows for us.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mattias O. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Can be as complex or simple as you want, different settings for different users. Safe to manage and process large sets of data with history and branches, where you can set up sanity checks to validate your data . It's easy to export in anyway you'd like - so product integration is easy. Great and responsive customer support.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

It's hard to think about a dislike - we've used this system for a long time over many projects, but we've run into some technical issues over the years, especially in the early days, but much less frequent as it has matured. Any issues have always been resolved quickly and we never experienced any loss of data.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem we had in one of our latest projects was that the original texts and the translations, to 15 languages, were constantly being updated and changed through-out the project; changes from creative writers, partners, licensor, copy writers, loc-QA etc. We needed to know which translation was up-to-date and what texts needed to be sent to re-translation in which languages.

Gridly tracked all this for us, and our partners could use the tools directly, saving everyone a lot of time. When a human error crept in it was easy and safe to track down and revert using the history.

**Official Response from Thy Nguyen:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Gridly! We're pleased to hear that our platform has helped you manage large sets of data with ease and provided you with the tools to track changes and revert any human errors.
If you ever run into any issues or have suggestions for improvement, feel free to let us know anytime!

  ### 11. Smooth, easy to learn, very intuitive, snappy and chill.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivier A. | Senior Narrative Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Ease of use, how I can see changes in the text immediately in our game. I use it exteremly frequently in my work, almost daily. I like the different views and filters you can have, improves our workflow.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

It is frequently very laggy, this sometimes makes it frustrating to use.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of looking at translations and seeing immediate changes in the game.

  ### 12. Gridly has really changed the way we think about Localization!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

We've used Gridly now for multiple years and haven't looked back!

Gridly is a very accessible tool that basically anyone can hop into and get their way around. If anything has not functioned properly or we have suggestions, their team is always there to receive it.

The addition of their automation tool in your grids has helped a lot with our pipeline and sped our work up,

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

The loading of data when using the grids has definitely improved since we came on but can still be slow from time to time.

The user groups and permissions side in the backend can be very confusing and I'd love if you could get a "view as" function to help see what they would see before inviting people.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We previously never had a good way of managing translations and a good way of getting them into Unreal Engine. Gridly has helped solve those two issues for us.

  ### 13. The Ultimate Localisation Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexey T. | Lead of Localisation, Computer Games, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

When it comes to localisation, Gridly is truly a master of all trades -- and as feature-rich as it is, it's so easy to use that you'll breeze through everything it has to offer in no time. With our entire localisation pipeline built around Gridly, we haven't regretted it for a moment!

Depending on your needs, you can simply use Gridly as an advanced localisation spreadsheet and endpoint for all your localisations, but with many twists, including TMs, histories, and countless filtering and sorting options, all within a single collaborative grid!

For larger projects -- or just for convenience -- Gridly has a huge amount of customisation and automation options that will save you time and effort every step of the way. You can even integrate scripts directly into your grids! Just to give you an idea, you can set up your own AI automations if you have the skills. Or simply link any of your existing Google sheets or Figma projects to Gridly to save headaches for everyone involved. No more manual copying!

The Gridly team is also available almost 24/7 to help you with both silly and complicated issues (or whatever else you may come across while using it), which has saved our team many times.

With the forthcoming addition of CAT, Gridly is rightly set to become the perfect tool for both translators and managers in one!

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

As much as I love Gridly (and its team!), there's still little room for improvement in terms of usability.

For a Firefox user, it's disappointing that Gridly offers poor support for browsers other than Chrome, which basically means that some features don't work well outside of it -- you might consider having Chrome on hand if you're not using it as your main browser.

Occasional bugs may also occur with newer features, but the development team takes each one seriously and works quickly to fix them!

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Gridly as our sole localisation content management tool for the two titles our studio is developing -- both are content-rich games, so we have all the resources we need in one place, accessible at any time.

  ### 14. Gridly, a masterpiece in string database management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

It's easy to use and iterate in real time with other collaborators.

Never had any issues, was easy to integrate with our project.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

Deleting existing strings often causes issues with our software

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our large database of strings and id's

**Official Response from Thy Nguyen:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We’re thrilled to hear Gridly is helping you manage your large database of strings and IDs.
We’re sorry to hear about the issues you’ve experienced with deleting existing strings. Has this been shared to our customer success team? If not, just send a short message through https://help.gridly.com/contact-us so we can look into it and assist you as soon as possible.

  ### 15. Great tool for managing game localization and content updates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

I like how Gridly allows our team to collaborate on localization and content updates in real time. The branching and version control features are especially helpful for managing changes across multiple releases.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

Sometimes the UI can feel a bit slow when working with large datasets, and initial setup can be a bit overwhelming for new users. But once you're familiar with the system, it works really well.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gridly helps us centralize all our game content and localization in one place. It eliminates the back-and-forth between spreadsheets and translation tools, making collaboration much easier across teams. As a result, we save time, reduce errors, and release updates faster.

**Official Response from Thy Nguyen:**

> Hi, we’re glad Gridly’s real-time collaboration, branching, and version control are helping your team manage content and localization more efficiently.

We’re constantly working to make handling large datasets smoother and to improve the onboarding experience. Thanks for sharing your experience! it helps us keep making Gridly better.

  ### 16. The tool is friendly user and allows customizations helping particularly in tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Customization, its flexibility, possible automatizations reducing time , Connection with MemoQ

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

Mistakes that if unnoticed are difficult to be reverted, with more people working on the same grid, even if using different views

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The app offers localization, tracking, and voice-over features, as well as the ability to share content. These functions make it quite versatile and useful for a variety of needs.

  ### 17. Easiest CSM I've come across

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James T. | Co-Director/Programmer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Really like the simplicity of organising translations into different grids and being able to connect directly to Unreal Engine for quick import/export

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

I would like to see maybe a free tier to store or organise translations or a 1 seat license.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplifying management of large amounts of translations

**Official Response from Thy Nguyen:**

> Hi James,

Thanks for your feedback! Glad to hear Gridly’s simplicity and Unreal Engine integration are helping your workflow. We appreciate your suggestion for a free tier or single-seat license and will keep it in mind as will continue to improve our offerings

  ### 18. Looking to improve collaboration between developers, project managers and linguists? Choose Gridly!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Gridly is a powerful localisation CMS tool that offers you the ability to centralise and design your entire localisation workflow to fit your project's needs.
The spreadsheet-like design, powered by formulas, automations and off-the-shelf (or custom) integrations with popular tools, allied to granular access/permission controls, collaboration features and content versioning capabilities make it a great choice for organisations that want to take control and fully integrate localisation in their development lifecycles, rather than leaving it as an afterthought.
Plus, it is very easy to use and comes with stellar and lightning fast customer support!

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

The file formats natively supported are quite limited, favouring structured data formats like CSV, JSON or XLSX, although this is being improved with the recent introduction of the TMS module, which also seems like it could bring interesting features for data tracking and reporting that the tool is currently lacking.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gridly helps us manage the localisation of in-game content and share localised strings with developers effortlessly.
It also helps us facilitate Localisation Quality Assessment by serving as a single source of truth for our data, allowing any issues to be reported directly in context.

  ### 19. They really listen to their customers!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Buster S. | Project Manager and -Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Besides having a feature rich product (a lot more than we need and use...), we have had such a great experience with the guys at Gridly when we had have issues, questions, or ideas for new features. They clearly listen to their customers and take them seriously.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

Not much really... When we have had any issue or question we got an answer right away.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a growing digital platform in 7+ languages, that constant develops and changes, we needed a way and a platform to give translators a task and platform to give us an overview. Gridly helped with this!

  ### 20. Making the handling of game language files look easy! Gridly is lightweight, powerful, and flexible.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert H. | Head of Localization, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

- Flexibility of handling language files for daily use
- Easy import/export functions
- Version control
- Easy to use
- Automations
- First-class support

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

- Some expected automation routines are not in place (e. g. delays, waiting times)
- No two-way connection to some systems possible (SQL databases)
- ChatGPT implementation costs extra

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a lightweight CMS for our game language files that we can connect to our TMS.

  ### 21. Good platform, but still has room for improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose Helbert P. | Freelance Translator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

For my translation projects, a fast way to get the work done with an easy interface, streamlining workflows, and ensuring a quick turnaround.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

I can’t find the TMs, which makes it difficult to maintain consistency.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a simple form for the agencies I work with to distribute projects, making it easy to receive tasks and translate efficiently.

**Official Response from Vaclav Kamenicek:**

> Thanks a lot for your feedback, Jose! It's great to hear that Gridly helps you get your translation work done efficiently and with ease.

I noticed your comment about Translation Memories, good news on that front! We've recently rolled out new TMS and CAT modules with updated TM capabilities. You’ll now find more advanced TM settings, including support for distinguishing machine-translated text, handling multiple translation alternatives for a single record ID, and overall more control to help maintain consistency across your projects.

We really appreciate your input, it helps us prioritize what matters most to users like you. If you’d like a walkthrough of the new features or have more ideas to share, we’d love to hear from you!

  ### 22. User-friendly text management tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linnéa K. | Localization Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

A user-friendly tool for multiuser text strings creation and localization preparation that provides customized setups and views, and allows easy communication between users. Also great support from the dev team!

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

Sometimes lagging and delayed response. Lack of grammar check support (source).

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customized multiuser tool for text creation that simplifies the process of collaborating during string work, and securing translation readiness. Good integration options with other tooling.

  ### 24. Efficient way for reviewing Localization content

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

I've used plenty of localization platforms for translation edits but nothing compares to Gridly. I like the personal grids that it provides, the personalization of each view and how easily it can be eddited and saved.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

I don't dislike a lot from Gridly, mainly just sometimes one can easily delete content unwillingly.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gridly gives my team a chance to see translations clearly from the source text to the different languages available. We also appreciate the other aspects of the grids such as the last updated time of a certain text, who updated it, and translation document details (name of request, ID, etc).

  ### 25. Must have tool in game localization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martina K. | Senior Localization Producer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Gridly is a must have for anyone working with content especially in gaming with titles operated as live services. We implemented it in 15 studios across the world and it was easy as ABC. We have done a lot of research with various tools and nothing came close to Gridly. It's so very userfriendly, secure with new features are constantly being developed. The best of all, an all star team behind the product that is always ready to assist with any requests. The product takes user feedback seriously and is developed at a fast pace. Gridly is here to stay and all our users are very satisfied.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

At times it was challenging that the product was still in development and not all features were ready.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All users across 15 studios can access Gridly seemlessy and have a smooth Localization process without sharing files or keeping up with version control. The granular user control is great for security reasons within the various groups. Gridly is very flexible and expandable through triggers and lambda functions and we managed to set up proprietary processes with Art Localization for example.

  ### 26. Review for Gridly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nelson S. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

We have been using Gridly for an year and a half at the company, and it has improved all our processes!

Now we can easily visualize all changes in source with Gridly.

Another thing we liked about it is that we could quickly integrate this with our CAT tool.

And I think it is also important to mention that when we had doubts, the support team from Gridly get back to us immediately with an answer or a workaround.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

We don't have any complains but we have send a couple of suggestions/ideas to the team a couple months ago, with a few items we would like to see in the tool in future updates.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Gridly, we had several issues trying to identify the changes made in the source text in our translation files. Gridly has solved that quickly.

  ### 27. Very useful tools for localization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kit B. | Lead Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

How easy it is to use and the range of functionality

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

Overwhelming feature set for brand new users

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having the ability to easily send copy for localization while maintaining keywords that don't get translated

  ### 28. Gridly has been a game-changer for our team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Estelle B. | Localization Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Gridly is very easy to implement and integrate, and we now use it on a daily basis.
New features are added regularly, and it makes the tool very flexible. The interface is also quite intuitive.
The support team is also excellent, always ready to help with any queries or issues. I highly recommend Gridly to any team looking for an effective localization management solution.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

There is no 100% integrated CAT tool... yet, but hopefully they can implement that soon: a CAT tool as powerful as MemoQ or XTM would be a very nice addition to Gridly!!

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us localize a game that is developped with Unreal Engine 5 as there is no proper database in UE5. So Gridly serves as a powerful DB for us, with plenty of filters, views, and features.

  ### 29. Look no further. Here it is: the perfect localization tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizaveta K. | Lead of Localization and Linguistic Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Gridly consolidates everything in one place—automation tools, a collaborative environment, progress tracking, translation memory, and customizable language settings—all while maintaining the flexibility of spreadsheets. It also helps save time: for instance, with a special plugin, importing localization from Gridly to Unity takes just one click.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

I enjoy all aspects of using this platform.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gridly:
1) Saves time: With its numerous automation options, there's no need to manually transfer data or explain contextual nuances to the translator.
2) Simplifies text management: Translation memory and glossaries eliminate the need to reorder translations of the same words or sentences.
3) Constantly improves: The platform regularly introduces new features and plugins, making the localization process even easier and more convenient.

  ### 30. I just love Gridly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaetan G. | Localization producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Gridly allows for all the possible meaningful customizations you could dream of. This is the exact opposite of a Blizzard game and of many Android apps, for instance.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

At first it may be hard to get your head around a few terms and types of items. But you get used to it quickly.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's my primary way to interact with UE5 text to translate. UE5 interface is not user-friendly on that front. But Gridly is, so it's where I can see, sort, filter, order, search text in any language, including English. It's also the bridge between UE5 and my CAT tool.

  ### 31. An integral part of our localization process

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renato L. | Platform Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

Ease of usage, new features constantly been added to the large set of core ones, newly found issues quickly tackled and ironed out by the engineers.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

There are a lot of features available and it's easy to overlook the ones that could make the teams' life easier.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didnt have a CMS tool for our games' localization files, and Gridly has become the de-facto tool from day 1 for any internal project doing localization, or even working with any kind of textual string.

  ### 32. my localization project savior

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Gridly?**

as a localization manager of a huge game project with over a million words to be translated into over 13 languages, gridly was a true savior.
the two most beautiful things of gridly are its language dependency management feature and version/branch control feature.

the former allows the most streamlined localization pipeline; the latter is what makes gridly ahead of other competitors when we are developping on multiple branches at the same time.

the addons are cherry on cake and more often than not they contributes more than i expected after we built more sophisticated understandings yo gridly.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

it is only a localization management app, not a CAT. it has something indeed, but using it as a CAT is like eating spaghetti with a spoon; it is better than having nothing but why not get yourself a folk?

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i have a project with over a million words to be translated and it was constantly itertating. we need a software to givr me clear clue of my to-be-translated scope at any time and help me track my progress.

  ### 33. Gridly helps us save time and organize our workflows easily

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

On top of it, Gridly's response time for any outstanding issues or just any questions about the tool is within minutes.

**What do you dislike about Gridly?**

Sometimes it's hard to track updates, so it happens that some updates disrupt our workflow.

**What problems is Gridly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gridly is a one-stop shop for everything content related around our projects.

  ### 34. One of the best spreadsheet UI
