The software itself looked great, and we were very excited by the capabilities. We scheduled a demo and Ethan (CEO) was very responsive, he even was nice enough to take one of our sample quote templates and upload some test data into the demo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Then came the rest. On our demo call, we requested to join the free tier that was listed on the website and was marketed as being "For Startups". We figured this would be a great fit for our 6-month-old startup. Ethan stated that this was not an option and that actually no clients of his are on this tier. He went on to say that they "forgot to change the website." Since false advertising is against both federal and state laws, I requested that he remove the false content from their website and allow us to use the free tier for a period of time since it was advertised to us. He declined my requests and ended with this, "At this point I don't think a partnership would be mutually beneficial, but we wish you the best in your search for a CPQ solution." Ethan couldn't be more correct; a partnership would certainly not be mutually beneficial. I have no doubt this is a great product, but Ethan, you need to work on your customer service and marketing skills. You could have the best product in the world, but your approach desperately needs improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
