Trainual Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI
Is Trainual free, or does it offer a free trial?

No. According to G2 data, Trainual does not offer a free plan or free trial. Users need to purchase a paid plan to access the product. Visit the seller's official pricing page for current pricing details and plan options.

Who is Trainual pricing best suited for?

According to G2 reviewers, Trainual's pricing is best suited for small to mid-market businesses with roughly 15 to 500 employees that prioritize structured onboarding and SOP documentation. G2 small business reviewers across industries like construction, retail, healthcare, financial services, and management consulting consistently praise Trainual for streamlining onboarding without enterprise-level complexity. Mid-market reviewers gravitate toward Pro and Premium tiers for accountability features and video storage. G2 reviews suggest Trainual is less ideal for very small startups seeking budget-friendly or per-user flexibility, and it is not positioned as a full enterprise LMS for organizations requiring deep compliance reporting or complex branching logic.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Trainual?

Trainual does not offer a free version, but G2 data on Trainual indicates a free trial is available with no credit card required. All paid tiers require annual billing and are quote-based. Trainual's Core tier covers documentation, AI-assisted content, templates, and basic integrations. Upgrading to Pro unlocks individual training paths, e-signatures, video transcriptions, and a Customer Success Manager. Trainual's Premium tier adds SSO, custom branding, unlimited video storage, and unlimited e-signatures. The Enterprise tier further includes API access, SOC2 documentation, priority support, and dedicated implementation. G2 reviewers frequently cite video hosting limits and screen recording as key reasons for upgrading beyond Core.

Is Trainual considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers of Trainual frequently describe it as a worthwhile investment despite recurring cost concerns. Many small business users note the pricing feels steep, particularly for teams under 25 employees, with several wishing for a lower-cost entry tier. However, the overwhelming majority of G2 reviewers give Trainual high ratings, with most citing significant time savings in onboarding, reduced repetitive training, and improved process consistency as tangible ROI. One G2 reviewer noted it is 'very fairly priced and I feel for what you pay, the amount you get is well worth it.' Cost concerns are most pronounced among very small teams and those needing features locked behind higher tiers.

"Trainual Makes Success Scalable—and Employees Stay Engaged"

What do you like best about Trainual?

Trainual helps new hires be successful right off the bat, improve time to productivity, and boost engagement. This impacts overall team success. The shared documentation is easy to access, and there’s so much flexibility with the ability to embed files, videos, hyperlinks, and more. It’s also very easy to share changes and updates as things evolve. Without Trainual, my team and I would not be as successful in our work. The UI is great—simple to use and genuinely effective. Thank you for such an incredible review! We love hearing how Trainual is helping your team ramp faster, stay engaged, and keep knowledge from walking out the door when turnover happens. That ā€œwin for everyoneā€ mindset is exactly what Trainual is built for, and it means a lot to hear it’s making a real impact for your team.

"Engaging, Interactive Training Platform with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Trainual?

I think what I like the most about Trainual is that it's visually appealing and fun. It's interactive and has a lot of features that are just user-friendly. The features basically make people want to be in the training a little bit more, to play around in it so that they can learn more as they go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trainual?

I don't really love that Trainual is not as effective as in-person training. We've been using it for about a year, and I've noticed that the performance of employees has dropped off significantly. So even though they go to the portal and test well, the operational skills they've learned aren't good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rachel Astori of Trainual

Really glad the experience feels engaging — that matters. The feedback on translating training to on-the-job performance is something we take seriously, and we'd love to dig into this with you. Our support team can help explore ways to bridge that gap — please don't hesitate to reach out!
