# What practice management system offers the best analytics features?

Our firm is trying to get more out of data, not just case tracking, but real analytics on performance, billing, client trends, and productivity. I’m looking for a practice management system that goes beyond the basics and actually provides solid reporting and dashboards we can use to make decisions.

From the G2 feature data, here are the ones that stand out:

Clio Manage: Strong across reporting and dashboards, with good cloud and mobility support. Widely used, so integrations make analytics even more powerful.

Smokeball: Good reviews for reporting and dashboards, with automation that ties directly into analytics on casework and time.

8am MyCase: Decent reporting and dashboards, though not quite as strong as Clio or Smokeball. Works well for firms looking for an affordable all-in-one.

Lawmatics: Focused on client intake/CRM, but reporting and dashboards give good insights into marketing and lead conversion more than casework.

Assembly Neos: One of the strongest on reporting and dashboards, with high ratings in analytics categories. Good for firms that want deeper customization.

Filevine: Great on contact management and reporting, with dashboards that can be tailored for more detailed analytics.

For those of you using these day-to-day, which platform actually gives you analytics you rely on, versus just a pile of generic reports?

I’m also curious, for those of you who actually use these tools, do you find analytics more useful for financial metrics (billing, collections, profitability) or for productivity tracking (case progress, attorney performance)?
