What I like most about TeamViewer is its ease of use and reliable remote access. What I like best about TeamViewer is that it usually just works without turning setup into an IT project. You send someone an ID and password, connect, and you're in. That simplicity is honestly the main reason it became so popular in the first place. Even non-technical people can figure it out in a few minutes.

I also think its cross platform support is genuinely strong. Windows, Mac, android it handles mixed-device environments better than a lot of competitors. For remote support, especially helping family members or clients, that matters more than flashy features.

I wouldn't pretend its perfect. A lot of users complain about pricing becoming aggressive over the years, random commercial use detected warnings, and occasional lag or connection drops. What I dislike most about TeamViewer is its pricing and licensing system. TeamViewer allows me to access our sites and run operations without having to be there physically. I no longer need to drive from plant to plant to fix computer problems or change program settings. If a plant goes down or has an issue, I can log into that plant in seconds to troubleshoot and identify the problem. And when I’m not in front of my computer, I can do the same from my phone. While the new TeamViewer interface works well and looks very appealing, I feel it isn’t as user-friendly as the older interface. Some features that used to be easy to access now take extra mouse clicks to reach. It’s not a huge issue, but it still makes certain tasks take a little longer than they used to. Teamviewer allows me to seamlessly and securely access our customer's computers, facilitating easy and secure technical support and training. The Copy-paste function between mine and my customer's computers has become invaluable to me, and with the ability to save an entire library of remote computers easily TeamViewer has become synonymous with my employer's remote support system. The only thing I dislike about teamviewer is that every now and then a connection can be quite slow, I suspect due to the secure proxy that TeamViewer might use to connect.

Every now and then I have to resort to a lesser, harder to use remote-connection product from another company purely to connect to some customers to avoid a 10 second delay on my mouse, something that does not happen on other remote access software via the same connection.

TeamViewer is excellent remote software. Device and user management is good and simple to use. Security is also solid, and can be set as high as you wish. Moving files to remote machines is a breeze, and the multiple monitor support is great. You can view multiple monitors the way want to see them rather than being stuck with one method. TeamViewer decided to bundle a bunch of computer management tools, which of course are at extra cost. Frankly, better tools are available elsewhere. The management tools bloat the interface and can make it difficult to find the remote control. The new interface is similarly bloated and is a giant step backwards, burying commonly used items in sub-menus. I like that I can keep my entire fleet within this service and provide remote support when needed. Enrolling devices was generally straightforward. There are a few things that I do not like. The initial onboarding call was sped through. I understand that support knows the services front and back, but as a new user, I wish it would have been a little slower and included a test device to enroll. I use linux and the web works well 90% of the time but that other 10% is really felt when I am trying to connect to a device. I'm on Debian Linux and using Wayland, I cannot seem to get it to connect (yes, its in Beta). Can I change my session? What I like most is how quickly it connects you to end users with minimal friction. The setup is straightforward, and even non-technical users can follow the steps without much hand-holding. Session stability is generally solid, even on less-than-ideal networks, which is critical when working remotely across different sites or while traveling.

It just works, yes, it has issues sometimes, but its usually easy to talk the customer through getting it running again, then it works, if its run at start up, you can answer the UAC Prompts which other programs just show a black screen, the management interface is good, search and group computers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It sometimes crashes, or fails to update properly leaving it not running, but you can usually talk the person through getting the Quick Support to get you connected. Like every other program, they update the main interface with out seeming to ask anyone, which is annoying, it would be nice if we can just stick with them improving issues in the current version rather than implementing new features that just dont seem to have been thought out or work properly

We are currently stuck with half our devices in a managed state and half in the legacy state, thank god for the search function

The main drawback is the new interface. The previous computer and device list was more readable and easier to navigate, especially when managing a large number of customer systems. TeamViewer is really easy to use. A client calls me, reads out their ID and password, and I connect to their computer instantly. I can navigate their screens, see exactly what the client is doing, and help them with whatever they are stuck on. My team and I have been using TeamViewer for about ten years, and we have never experienced a connection drop. Even clients who don't have TeamViewer installed yet can easily download and set it up. The device list is also a useful feature for connecting to devices we access frequently; it allows for faster connections without the client needing to read out access details.
