**What do you like best about Slack?**

Okay so slack has very low connectivity issue and i can quickly connect to my team mates have quick calls, share screen, or have a video call with easy ui, so i dont have to struggle much here. Best part are slack huddles integrated in slack that help we do voice calls in mere seconds.
Also it is integrated with other tools like claude, splunk or spinnaker where we get regular updates.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

In Initial phases the slack UI could feel a little overwhelming to new users. Also i lose track of multiple threads and convo going in various channels.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With integration on claude in slack it now gets easier with like to know about code update like using notifications i get to know that the pr was merged.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

How it integrates other google files and there are private and public channels. It is very user friendly and organizes the conversations and files.The system is fast and it is very helpful to the team in our communication and worth the money the AI support in it is also great. It also allows for new members to join the team and see the past history if they are set up to do so.

It is another app to check and keep up with. I dont like getting notifications  because I am getting them from all other apps but it is necessary.

It is extremely helpful with communication to team members across the country. I love that the communication happens in real time and that when you upload something it does not loose its quality.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack extensively for communication and team management. It allows me to communicate with teammates, share screenshots about problems, get on calls—both video and audio—at any time, and discuss projects. Slack is very intuitive for mapping out strategies and sharing information. I really appreciate its reliability for team calls and management. I like the ability to bookmark messages anytime, and the search feature is invaluable for retrieving important information from past conversations.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Yeah. Sometimes, I think there's just some net issue. So platform issue that things just go down. It doesn't come up or as reliable as you want it, and then you are unable to get stuff done that you really need to get done or going.

I use Slack for team communication, sharing screenshots, and video calls. It helps in project discussions and allows bookmarking important info. It's very intuitive for mapping strategies and managing team interactions.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for communication within the organization, and it really solves my communication issues within the team by allowing me to create channels and groups for different projects, enabling me to track things on my own. I like its user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to use. I also enjoy integrating Slack with other software like Geekbot, which helps in many ways, such as asking every team member for daily updates. The integration capabilities and UX were key factors in switching from Microsoft Teams to Slack. Setting it up was super easy.

The search in Slack needs us to remember exact keywords, which can be improved as AI evolves.

Channels for specific topics make it easier to keep conversations organised. Direct messages are useful for quick, one-to-one communication. I also like having scripts so we can set daily reminders to report progress.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The daily reminder script I set up doesn’t account for public holidays, so we still get reminders even when the office is closed. It’s also expensive, so we’ve switched to the free version, but we have to live with the limitation that we can’t view more than 90 days of history.

Instant communication with team members is especially helpful for me in my management role. Staff can message me, and I can respond as soon as I’m able. It’s also valuable for remote staff, since it lets them communicate quickly and easily with the rest of the team.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is very handy because I can instantly communicate with colleagues across different working groups. I also like that I can use it on my PC, as well as through the app and the web app. This makes it a flexible tool that keeps me in constant contact with the different teams I work with.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The only thing I dislike about Slack is how complicated it gets when you have more than one account. For example, I have a personal Slack account and another, more professional one linked to my company email. Switching between the two accounts is terribly slow.

Slack connects with a lot of tools like Google Drive, GitHub etc., which helps me to get the updates from all these tools in a single place. Instead of a single long chat, it uses channels which keeps the discussions focused and makes it easy for us to find the information later.

The free version has restrictions like limited message history and only a few advanced features, which can be sometimes frustrating to rely on old conversations.

I use slack as a messaging and collaboration platform. The channel feature has really helped to me keep the conversation relevant between my teams. It can be collaborated with various tools like Salesforce, which has helped to me to combine both the platforms capabilities and build efficient flows. The platform's integration which Google Drive, GitHub etc., has reduced the problem of file updates and discussions being spread across many tools.

simple UI makes life a lot easier and it has intergrations with almost all the tools that i use daily like Jira, gitlab so its better. Simple AI features makes calls easier if i miss any  and i see you can find solutions to your problems in support channel or Q&A which makes it better for linux users. Overall Performance is great

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The app consumes lot of CPU in linux machines which makes screen sharing and working on terminal causes freeze in my laptop for that i had to change to use WEB UI. Because of this CPU issue i am not able to share screen explain the problems to my team members

I like the integrations part, i don't have to open Jira everytime and grafana alerts. i can just read everything on slack which makes easier to find the bug

It's nice to be able to ask different departments a question that everyone else can see and keep up to date with the comments. It's nice to DM colleagues instead of emailing them every time I need something. It's nice to be able to search for previous threads that can help with troubleshooting. We also have a few Zapier automations, one notifies of new leads, another of new sales, etc.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I wish it was easier to organize the channels that I'm most interested. I also wish I could separate the threads that I'm tagged in personally vs the ones that have a group tagged that I'm a part of.

It's much easier to communicate with my colleagues using slack instead of email. Especially since we all work remotely.

It is a good, distributed communication platform.  It is nice to be able to setup channels as needed on our own, and share that as needed with others.  It also integrates with other systems effectively for messaging and connections.  It is also very convenient to use both on laptops or on phones.

Sometimes the learning curve can be tough.  When we merged with another company, they had a hard time understanding the culture of slack threads.  Conversations can also tend to get long and get bogged down and hard to follow.

It really enables async communication across teams.  It also helps with transparency to enable communications and discussions to happen in a public place that others can view and recommend or reference later.

The ease of use and set up. We've been able to integrate it with Gmail, Asana, and Canva and it's fantastic.  We use it all day, every day and at this point, couldn't function without it!

Nothing so far!  We love the entire program.

We had an overload of email messages between our team members about projects and it was hard to keep track of which thread had which piece of information.  Now, we have one channel per client, put all of our internal conversations there, and can attach important documents/notes.  Our email volume has been cut SIGNIFICANTLY.  We use the bookmarks feature to link our frequently used documents for each client, so it's very easy for anyone on the team to quickly find what they need.  Integrating Slack with Asana, Gmail, and Canva has also been a great time saver, too - we can easily assign and update projects within one platform.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is its impressive ecosystem of integrations. It really feels like a true “single workspace” because it connects the tools I rely on every day, from Google Drive. Being able to manage tasks and get real-time updates without leaving the app cuts down on context switching in a meaningful way. On top of that, Slack Connect has been a game-changer, letting us collaborate securely with external partners and vendors as smoothly as if they were part of our internal team.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The biggest challenge I’ve had with Slack is keeping up with the constant stream of notifications. In a fast-paced team, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by “notification fatigue,” where important updates end up buried under casual chatter. Threads do help, but the search functionality—even with recent AI improvements—can still struggle to surface specific historical decisions in very active channels. As a result, it takes a lot of manual effort and strict “channel hygiene” to keep the workspace organized and prevent it from becoming chaotic.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack effectively solves the problem of information silos. In my previous workflow, important project decisions were often buried in long email threads or scattered across multiple apps. Slack brings those conversations together in organized channels, creating a clear “single source of truth.” For me, that means I can instantly access the context I need without digging through old messages. With the new Slack AI search, I can ask natural-language questions and quickly get verified answers pulled from past conversations and connected documents (like Google Drive), which has dramatically reduced the time I spend searching for information.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Its a really easy to use platform for communications, document sharing and all around software for a company. Huddles are a great feature that makes it really easy to communicate on urgent matters with team. Also the fact that it is integrated with Google Drive and Google Calendar helps a lot.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I think that the software doesnt really have much to be desired. Maybe searching for older stuff on it and I haven't really had the chance to speak with customer support. There is no clear way to do it.

It helps getting everything on the same place. Calls, documents and messaging handled easily and fast and conveniently. No extra hustle of having to search for stuff elsewhere it can all be found within Slack.

Our company uses Slack every day. Slack offers several different ways to communicate. The main thing that I like about Slack is that they are constantly adding or improving features. With Slack, you can communicate over text, calls, or video calls, all in one place. Slack has also introduced AI into its platform that is helpful for searching and recaps. Slack is easy to use, easy to implement, and offers an expansive list of integrations.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The only thing that is sometimes a little hit or miss, is the call feature. There are times when the call feature does not work correctly. The call will start, but you can't hear the person on the other end. A refresh usually fixes the issue.

Slack is a great tool to communicate with your team. Now, you can also communicate with others that are not in your organization. Slack is a great way to communicate quickly and efficiently. Slack is very reliable and easy to use.

We are a 100% remote company. Slack helps every single team communicate better. Being a remote company, you often have to over-communicate to get the job done. With the "Connections" feature, we can now communicate directly with clients and partners.

I use Slack daily for work, mostly for quick syncs, async updates, and keeping project threads organized, which really helps cut through email chaos. I find Threads extremely useful for keeping chats clean and preventing main channel chaos. The Search feature is fantastic for finding anything fast, eliminating those 'where’d we decide that?' moments. I'm impressed by the integrations with tools like Figma, Jira, and Google Docs, which allow me to work seamlessly without switching tabs or losing context. I appreciate the custom notifications and Do Not Disturb settings that let me control when I'm interrupted. Having all my tools like Figma comments, Jira tickets, and Google Drive built right into Slack makes my workflow smooth and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack’s got problems that actually matter when you use it every day. Notifications still flood you even with Do Not Disturb on. Threads disappear if you’re not watching them and good luck finding that one message you need later. The mobile app especially on Android feels slow and sometimes just stops working mid-conversation. The free plan gives you 90 days of history which is not enough for real work.

I use Slack to cut through email chaos with quick syncs, async updates, and organized project threads. It replaces status meetings with channels and makes finding stuff easy, reducing email overload. Integrations with tools like Figma and Jira streamline my workflow without tab-switching.

The UI is good, easy to create reminders or small workflows on slack channels, easy to create slack bots. I have integrated it with DevRev and claude easily. Default reminders to leave certain channels to clean up your Slack. I also like the feature to DM yourself. I use to make quick notes, to-do list, etc

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes, I see disturbance in Slack huddles while screen sharing. I have to sheet to gmeet, zoom, etc. So, I feel huddles need to be refined.

Slack is helping in internal and external coordination. We have also integrated customer whatsapp groups to Slack channels. It has a lot of context, so we connected it to Torvalds and claude to extract the rich insights in Slack conversations.

I appreciate how it streamlines communications in real time and facilitates data and information sharing. I really like the UI for its fresh look and ease of use. The workflows and integrations, such as with Jira, are particularly noteworthy. The initial setup was very easy with no blockers.

The summarize feature using AI for a channel does not cover the whole history of the chat, so it is something to improve. If there is a way to make available some plug and play solutions to connect to Jira database for any IT project, and at the same time connect to Google Workspace data so I can use like an AI agent in Slack to ask anything about a certain project and generate insights, reports and dashboards, it would be nice.

I dislike the search funtionality, it's not easy to search / navigate through searches. There should be a more powerful search tool.

Slack’s AI is really helpful. I can go through huddles and transcripts, and the AI automatically takes notes during huddles and summarises them. If I miss something in a channel, the AI can summarise everything and give me an instant recap of the discussion.

I had to manage the notifications on my own because, during work hours, channel mentions kept bothering me and I was constantly getting interrupted. It would be better if it were easier to understand the notification settings and manage them.

If we’re in a channel discussing something and I join late, I can use the AI Agent to summarise the discussion so I understand what’s going on. It also helps during the channel conversations AI notes by converting them into a transcript. The AI understands what I mean and gives me the details of that discussion, which is very beneficial for me.

I really appreciate how Slack is a replacement for emails, which aren't so efficient. It provides instant messaging that offers more flexibility. I'm able to perform mainly textual messages, but also make calls, do screen shares, and share files. These features are especially useful since I can start a call right away with the relevant people following the channel and screen sharing helps with troubleshooting issues or presenting things in the product. File sharing on Slack is easy with drag and drop into the Slack window, and it keeps the files accessible for a long period. Slack is way easier to use than Google Chat, it integrates better into the system and allows us more flexibility. Also, feedback on the initial setup was that it was pretty much straightforward, which is great.

I think sometimes it gets very complex to find all of the messages that really involve me. Especially in our organization where you have a bunch of different channels and bunch of different threads about different things. It's easy to miss a message that involves or requires my attention. I like how easy Slack is to use. It's very similar to any messaging tool that we use for personal usage, so it's not really anything you need to learn to get used to. I find the integration with outside teams helpful, especially being able to invite them into one Slack channel. Creating internal Slack channels is also very helpful because the whole team gets the message instead of sending messages individually. The initial setup of Slack was very easy, especially the mobile application, which is very similar to apps like WhatsApp and iMessage, making it very simple to use.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is an absolute must for most companies. It allows for quick communication, easy file sharing (even large video files!), and disbursement of information. You can set up channels based on specific groups, which makes it easy to share information with just those needed. Pin files or messages to the channel, making it easy to find them later. There is an awesome feature where you can "remind me later" and then set a time when you want Slack to remind you about it. Or "save for later" where you can take messages and use them to create a to-do list that can be marked complete when done. You can even use different Slack accounts and easily navigate between the accounts to keep items separated. i.e. an internal Slack account with your company and another account with other companies that you do business with (clients, vendors, etc.)  You can DM a specific person or smaller team. And of course, there is the integration of gifs, emoticons, photos etc which help keep communication fun! Our agency uses this everyday, all day.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Oftentimes communication can move very quickly if you have a large number of people in a channel. Messages could get easily lost in the conversation. However, with the new integrations of the save for later and remind me, this is helping to manage that issue.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication! Being that we have employees around the globe and working from home, this makes communication so easy. File sharing is quick and easy. Even large files are sent without compression, clogging inboxes or exceeding file size limits. Plus, with the integration features with Google Drive, Fellow, Asana it allows us to easily link to tasks, drives, files and more with a nice preview function. If there is an issue where not everyone in the group has access to the file, it will let you know and easily adjust permissions in Slack.

I like the fact Slack has automations and integrations that make it a much more powerful tool. It really saves a lot of time when I can insert an emoji, for example, and get an automation in place so that it opens a Notion board and creates something in there. Same goes for tickets—it's connected automatically with HubSpot. So any new ticket that comes in that's under my name will notify me on the go. We work with cloud, Notion, and HubSpot, and they are all integrated into Slack, which makes it much more powerful.

Sometimes the searching, it's not so great. I wish it would be easier to find exactly what you're looking for.

I like using Slack for work because I can keep in contact with my colleagues and everyone in my organization. I appreciate the interface where everything is just in one place, allowing me to easily switch from community to individual DMs. I like that everything is visible, and I can always find what I'm looking for, including apps and emojis. Recording and sending video messages is a great feature because it helps me stay in touch with my colleagues and lighten up the day. The interface design is also pleasing, especially since it features purple, my favorite color. Once logged in, using Slack is very easy, and everything is open and easy to navigate.

It took me a while to get used to the thread, reply with thread, or reply to a message. Because most times when I want to reply to messages, I send things to the whole channel instead of thread. Now I've gotten the hang of it.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It’s easy to connect with team members and stay up to date on project deliverables. I also really love the dark mode feature. That said, setting up a bot is pretty difficult, and there’s no REST API available for automation. Because of that, it becomes a painful process to create a new bot, set up permissions, and then wait for approval from Slack admins, which feels tedious. Performance-wise, it’s lightweight and quick, and it doesn’t consume much RAM. I haven’t fully tried the new Slack AI yet, but from my initial testing it seems to search for data much better than the conventional search, so I’m excited to use it more.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

There are no REST APIs exposed for users or developers to consume, which makes automation through code much harder. The workflows also don’t offer many vital integrations, and it becomes difficult to get things approved. It would be much better if an ordinary user had more control over their account through REST APIs and PATs, instead of having to go the route of creating a bot.

It helps teammates connect more quickly. Instead of calling someone for every single question, they can just send a message, and whenever the other person gets a chance, they respond. It’s also useful to use workflows and bots to query containers running in a cluster and post the output directly in chat, so not every user has to manually go into the cluster and execute commands.

If I have got multiple files from someone, I have to download each one separately. It has a download all button, but that never works. It should work properly. If a person sent me 5 videos, I want them to be downloaded together at the click of a button.

I used Slack for a course from Algozenith to keep in touch with mentors and fellow batchmates, which was really convenient. It was handy for sharing meet links for classes and notes. I appreciate that Slack doesn't require entering a phone number(as i am not bound for signing in based on cellular network signal) and works via email using OTP or email links, so I don't need to remember passwords. I like the various provisions of different text channels as they can be used for discussions on different topics. I also find the huddle feature useful for voice calls over Wi-Fi, making conversational discussions faster and more natural. The initial setup was very easy, which I appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The chat history is not available after 90 days and you need to purchase a pro version to see chat history.

sometimes it becomes tedious to find the channel which concern the same task/objective/client discussion group as the channels get aligned usually basis on the recency of the update given or reply received.

It is saving major 2 things. 1. The centralisation of multiple tasks, so that I do not need to juggle continuously over platforms to get the grasp of movements over tasks. 2. I can directly reply and update the pendencies basis on the platform channel as it is mentioned separately over slack other than messages.
