**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really appreciate how straightforward the app is and how clean the UI looks, and it has performed consistently well for me. The theme customization options are genuinely useful, and the chat summarization feature saves me time by cutting down on how much I need to scroll back and reread earlier messages. Huddles are another great feature, and they’ve been a helpful addition to the overall experience. Integrations are solid as well, including Jira, Calendar, and others.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It automatically switches to quiet mode and pauses notifications for all messages, which really shouldn’t be enabled by default. Also, Huddles should allow remote control of the machine that’s sharing its screen.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes communication easy and reduces the time I spend reading previous messages, thanks to the AI summary. Message Threads are also useful to organize messages as per the topic. Makes past discussions, files, and decisions searchable and transparent for the whole team.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I love how easy it is to organize chat channels by specific projects and teams. It completely stops me from wasting hours searching through endless emails, and the real-time huddles feature makes it incredibly fast to jump on a quick voice call to solve problems instantly with colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The notification system can become incredibly overwhelming and noisy when you belong to multiple active channels, as the non-stop pings make it very difficult to stay focused. Additionally, the built-in search functionality often feels clumsy and inaccurate when you are trying to find specific files or older buried conversations from months ago.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack completely solves the problem of messy, scattered email threads by moving all team communications into organized, real-time channels. This benefits me by streamlining my daily workflow, keeping all project files instantly accessible in one clear place, and making it effortless to collaborate with others without losing track of important updates.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how it keeps communication organized without slowing things down. Channels make it easy to separate conversations by topic or team, so things don’t get buried. I also appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with other tools—everything from file sharing to project updates can live in one place. And the search function is surprisingly powerful, which saves a lot of time when trying to find past messages or decisions.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about Slack is how overwhelming it can get with constant notifications, especially when you’re part of multiple active channels. Important messages can easily get lost in the noise. It can also become cluttered over time, making it harder to keep track of key discussions unless everything is very well organized. Additionally, performance can sometimes lag when there are too many integrations or large message histories.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication by bringing conversations, updates, and collaboration into one centralized place. Instead of relying on long email threads or switching between multiple tools, everything—from quick discussions to file sharing—happens in real time within channels.

This benefits me by making communication faster and more transparent. I can quickly get context on a topic, stay aligned with my team, and access past decisions without digging through emails. It also improves productivity since integrations with other tools allow me to track work, get alerts, and take action without leaving Slack.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that it is the corporate version of Discord, in a UI/UX sense, and includes all the features someone in an office would use, just like someone gaming or chatting would in Discord. Such features include marking people as VIP, muting certain threads, and the ability to add code snippets, which is particularly useful.

It has good integration with GitHub, but its behaviour is a bit inconsistent, because one of my colleagues wasn't able to get the embed to show, and he was sure he hadn't disabled it when prompted initially, and we couldn't figure out how to enable GitHub embeds for him like they were on for me. JFYI, he had his GitHub connected to Slack.

I can imagine Slack lacking some performance on low-end devices, but that's an issue with all the browser-based applications (Electron), so I can't totally blame them.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

If there were a solution for the lags and delays during screen share with a lot of people on call, it would be good. Another thing is also the huddle control bar that appears when in a huddle, and the sharing screen becomes a blank bar on Mac OS sometimes (rarely, but observed by my senior colleague and me too).

Also, there should be an easier way to just silence or completely remove some Apps/Integrations on a personal user level, as they can get pretty annoying, and muting doesn't work. e.g., Birthday Bot with the "I'd like to remind you about some important events" message now and then.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is solving the communication gap between corporate employees and removing the complexity of apps like MS Teams, making it just super simple to connect with teams, make groups, make quick calls or proper meetings, and has the tools to conduct all of this smoothly for any medium-sized remote environment.

Slack makes teamwork feel simple. I really like how easy it is to jump into a channel, share updates, and follow conversations without losing track. Being able to send quick messages, react with emojis, and keep files organized in one place makes collaboration feel smooth and natural. Overall, it helps keep everyone connected and on the same page.

One downside of Slack is that conversations can end up scattered across multiple channels, which makes it easy to miss important updates. When several threads are active at the same time, it can feel overwhelming to keep track of what’s happening where. Notifications also build up quickly, and that can interrupt my focus.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The user interface is very intuitive, and it’s probably the easiest team chat app to use. The integrations with external services are genuinely helpful, and the ecosystem feels mature enough that you can find pretty much everything you need.

Most of the issues I’ve run into are with the macOS native app. It’s quite slow and not very reliable: I often have to restart it, and sometimes thread replies don’t show up at all. Because of that, I mostly stick to the web version, which works much better for me.

Another downside is the pricing. It gets very expensive if you have a big team.

The biggest downside is the pricing. It is good software, but there are cheaper alternatives out there

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack makes it very easy to share chats and knowledge bases with external teams. At the company I work for, we don’t use Slack internally, but for collaborating with clients and service providers it’s instrumental.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack creates a single source of turth of communication acorss teams both internal and external teams. While it doesnt have all the tools you will need in your tech stack it typically will have a connector to that tool such as google drive, outlook, dropbox, troll, etc.... It is fairly intutitve tool and can be customized to fit your needs. I find it to be very responsive and easy to use. The cost of it i nominal when you consider the streamlined benefits of clear communication. The only difficuly I would say is that when you are handling extremely large teams the messaging and the notifications can feel a bit overwhelming at times. The ai tool, espeically the summaratization tool is brilliant and saves you hours of recap. Lastly the support while mostly auto pilot is easy to access and intutitve to handle.

I personally wish that slack had it's ony project management features and more kanban style moood boards this would replace many other tools i have to patquilt in my tech stack and give me a more seemless working experience.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack has been a very important tool in my freelancing journey. It helps me stay connected with clients professionally and keeps communication organized. The private channels feature is one of the best parts because I can create separate workspaces for each client, making project discussions, file sharing, and updates easy to manage.

The UI/UX is clean, modern, and very beginner-friendly. Everything is easy to navigate, from messaging and notifications to file uploads and team collaboration. Even clients who are not very tech-savvy can use it comfortably.

Slack also offers excellent integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, Trello, and Dropbox, which improves productivity and saves time during project management. Having everything connected in one platform makes freelancing work much smoother.

In terms of performance, Slack runs reliably and delivers messages instantly without major issues. The desktop and mobile apps both work well, allowing me to communicate with clients from anywhere.

The pricing is affordable and provides great value for freelancers and small teams. Even the free version includes many useful features, while the paid plans are reasonably priced for the productivity benefits they offer.

The onboarding experience is simple, and setting up channels or inviting clients takes only a few minutes. Customer support resources and help articles are also easy to access whenever needed.

I also like the AI and intelligence features that help improve productivity by making searches, message organization, and workflow management smarter and faster. It helps save time and makes communication more efficient during client projects.

Overall, Slack is an excellent communication and collaboration platform that has helped me manage client relationships, organize projects efficiently, and improve my freelancing workflow.

I don’t have many complaints about Slack because overall it has been very useful for my freelancing work. However, sometimes I notice a small glitch in the web version where a chat section gets stuck in an infinite loading loop. It usually fixes itself after refreshing the page, but it can interrupt workflow occasionally. Other than that, my experience with Slack has been very positive.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Slack, managing freelance client communication across multiple platforms was difficult and unorganized. Important messages, project files, and feedback were often scattered between email, WhatsApp, and other apps, which slowed down workflow and sometimes caused confusion.

After switching to Slack, I was able to create private channels for each client and keep everything organized in one place. This improved communication, reduced missed messages, and made project collaboration much faster and more professional. Features like file sharing, integrations, notifications, and AI-powered search tools helped save time and increased productivity during daily work.

Slack has also helped me respond to clients faster and manage multiple projects more efficiently. Slack has been great for our company. The biggest benefit has been how easy it makes communication between departments and across 4 different locations. We use different channels to share schedules, deliveries, launches, and product changes, and it also gives staff a simple place to ask questions. We also rely on private messaging, which feels more informal and quicker than email.

We’ve been on the free plan for roughly two years now. I can see there are plenty of perks with the paid offerings, but we haven’t needed them yet; still, they seem like they’d be a strong fit for a growing business. Over the years we’ve had zero issues, and adding or disabling staff has been a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One drawback for me, as the account “owner,” is that I can’t see all channels to understand how many have been created, who is creating them, and whether there’s any overlap. I believe that kind of visibility may be included as a perk on the paid plan. In my opinion, the pricing structure starts quite high, so we can’t justify the cost right now, even though I’m sure there are many integrations and other pros with the paid plans. One other big thing I wish Slack had is autocorrect and grammar support.

Communication. It gives us a simple, central place to communicate call-outs, team projects, schedules, and live updates for certain departments. Most of our staff have downloaded the app on their phones, so everyone can access it easily.

I really appreciate the user-friendly interface of Slack. It makes creating and managing project channels extremely seamless and efficient, while also offering powerful integrations with a wide range of tools and platforms that help streamline workflows across teams.

The software performance is excellent, especially when it comes to sharing large files quickly and reliably. The onboarding experience is also very intuitive and easy to understand, making the setup process smooth and accessible within just a few minutes.

One of the standout features for our organization is Slack’s AI-powered capabilities and bot integrations, which help automate repetitive tasks, improve communication efficiency, and keep project collaboration organized. These intelligent features make day-to-day operations much more productive and reduce the need to switch between multiple tools constantly.

We primarily use Slack for all kinds of communication, collaboration and file sharing within the organization. It has become the central platform for everything from project management and internal discussions to delivering final project assets.

From a pricing perspective, Slack offers good value considering the scale of features, integrations, reliability, and collaboration tools it provides. Overall, it remains one of the most dependable and well-rounded communication platforms we’ve used and very few tools stand out at the same level in terms of usability.

One aspect that could be improved in Slack is the channel organization experience. As the number of channels and conversations grows, the sidebar can sometimes feel a bit cluttered and overwhelming to navigate, especially in large organizations with multiple active projects.

Additionally, while the platform is feature-rich, the chat interface could be more intuitive in certain areas to improve message navigation and overall usability. A more streamlined conversation experience and better organization controls would make communication even more efficient.

That said, these are relatively minor concerns compared to the overall reliability, integrations, and collaboration capabilities that Slack provides.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack has significantly improved the way our team manages communication, collaboration and project execution in a fast-paced creative production environment. Since we work on multiple projects simultaneously with different stakeholders, Slack helps keep conversations organized through dedicated channels, making it easy to track feedback, updates, revisions, and deliveries without losing context.

One of the biggest problems it solves is reducing communication gaps across teams. Instead of relying on scattered emails or multiple platforms, everything from client discussions and production updates to file sharing and approvals happens in one centralized workspace. This has helped improve turnaround times, team coordination, and overall workflow efficiency.

The integrations and AI-powered bot features are also extremely beneficial for automating reminders, notifications, and task coordination, especially during high-volume production cycles. It allows us to focus more on execution and creativity rather than managing communication manually.

Overall, Slack has become an essential part of our daily workflow and plays a major role in helping projects move faster, stay organized, and maintain smooth collaboration across departments.
