The best aspect of this platform is that it combines email and SMS marketing into a single platform, which also makes the campaign management more streamlined. Their automation builders are very intuitive and allow for more advanced workflows based on the user behaviour and clarity on the purchase activity and engagement. One of the standout features is its real-time data tracking and deeper and more effective segmentation, which helps us in personalised campaigns. This platform also integrates with a web development tool, making it specifically useful for brands to focus on customer lifecycle marketing.

**What do you dislike about Sendlane?**

Though this platform is feature-rich, it is slightly overwhelming for beginners, specifically when setting up advanced automations. Some integrations need a bit of additional setup effort and reporting, while others can take a bit of time to fully understand. Their pricing is also a bit on the higher side when compared with the other enterprise tools.

**What problems is Sendlane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sendlane solves the problem of centralising emails, SMS and customer data into a single system. This eliminates the need for hopping for multiple tools, bringing all the needed tools to a single platform.  This also helps us in automating the customer journey, from onboarding to retention, based on real-time behaviour. This also leads to better engagement, higher conversion rates and effective marketing operations.

I really appreciate how Sendlane balances powerful marketing automation with built-in GDPR compliance, which is essential for our B2B software business in Germany. The visual automation builder is great because it lets me create sophisticated lead nurturing sequences, post-demo follow-ups, and client re-engagement workflows without needing engineering support. This autonomy has significantly sped up our campaign timelines. Another thing I value is its strong focus on email deliverability, with more consistent inbox placement compared to previous tools. Equally important is how easily it handles subscriber consent, double opt-in, and data privacy controls, reducing compliance risk and saving us from using additional tools to meet GDPR requirements. The clear engagement analytics provided by Sendlane give us everything we need to run targeted, data-driven, and legally safe B2B email marketing all in one platform. The initial setup was straightforward and didn’t require heavy IT support, which was great for our marketing team, and the onboarding steps were clear. I also liked that the automation builder was intuitive, allowing us to build simple nurture sequences right away. The visual customer journey builder makes it easy to automate processes without heavy technical help, saving time and keeping leads engaged. While Sendlane works well for our core B2B email marketing, there are a few areas that feel limiting for our team in Germany: The reporting and analytics feel somewhat basic; more customizable dashboards and deeper segmentation on campaign performance would help us refine our B2B nurture strategies faster. Some advanced personalization tags require extra setup, and dynamic content for business-focused use cases (like company size or industry) isn’t as flexible as we’d like. Integrations with certain CRM and marketing tools used in the DACH region could be tighter and more native, reducing the need for manual workarounds.

**What do you like best about Sendlane?**

I really like how Sendlane unifies email and SMS automation into one intuitive platform that drives measurable revenue for our e-commerce business. Unlike other tools, it makes it easy to build cohesive, multi-step flows that trigger both emails and text messages based on real customer behavior. The straightforward segmentation and audience targeting mean we don't need a dedicated developer to create personalized campaigns. The built-in analytics are also a big plus because they help us track revenue from each flow and campaign, making it easier to justify marketing spends. The initial setup was straightforward and faster than expected, especially compared to other platforms.

**What do you dislike about Sendlane?**

The automation builder is intuitive for basic flows, but can get clunky with complex, multi-branch workflows. We’ve run into occasional delays or misfires in highly customized sequences, and troubleshooting them isn’t always straightforward. Some of the conditional logic feels less flexible than what we've used in other tools. Also, there's no version history for automation edits. When we tweak a complex flow, there’s no way to revert to a previous version if something breaks, which means we had to rebuild entire flows from scratch.

The platform offers high email deliverability. I appreciate the 24/7 support, which is available even on holidays. Another advantage is the unlimited user profiles, as you are charged based on the number of emails sent rather than the number of contacts. The advanced automation and segmentation tools are quite effective, and the dashboard for campaign management is both clean and intuitive.

The platform does not support international SMS, restricting messaging to US numbers only. As campaigns grow, the user interface can become cluttered, making navigation more challenging. Additionally, the reporting tools are somewhat basic and do not offer much depth.

F.e. once you have account with your email, its not possible to get user role for other account (even if the previous account was deleted). Product manager told us it was possible, support on chat told us its not possible because it is the way how their system works.

**What do you like best about Sendlane?**

Sendlane provides a top-notch email system with excellent product and customer integration to our shopping cart. The support is like nothing I have ever experienced with a SAAS company. The email builder is easy to use and provides many options for customizing the look of your emails.

The cost for us was better than Klayvio with much better support, we actually have our own rep we can contact about specific questions and the technical support chat is very fast and helpful. 

The transition from Klayvio was handled very well. They built out some of our previous automations and helped warm up the list to ensure a smooth transition. 

I would highly recommend.

**What do you like best about Sendlane?**

I switched to Sendlane 6 months ago from a competing product. What drew me to Sendlane was the straightforward approach to email communication. They had all the features I wanted and it was easy to get started.

The customer service is also top notch. They helped me warm up my list and get my automations set up.

I like that I can create automations based on e-commerce activity or any other behavior on my website (such as known subscribers visiting a particular page on my site).

The education they provide on how to build better email communication content is fantastic too.

I use their API extensively and like that I can code my own custom workflows from my custom application.

They used to have a dedicated account representative for their entrprise customers (I'm on an enterprise plan), offering monthly 1:1 calls to review your account and deliverability. They took away that service shortly after I signed up.

This platform has been the biggest difference maker for us! Having everything so seamlessly integrate from Shopify ensures that our strategy is the most effective. In addition, the overall implementation and level of support/service is unmatched! I have experienced ESP transitions with all of the big players in the ESP game and I have never experienced a transition this easy

Some of the load times are a bit slower but that is something we can deal with given the increase in performance we are seeing from using Sendlane

The customer support at Sendlane is unparalleld. Their onboarding process will help you transition over and their success team ensure continued support. It really feels like they want to grow in partnership with their users. They've also listened to my product feedback and implemented new features based off it.

The platform still has ways to go to match the robustness of a Klaviyo but it is making great strides towards that.

One of the finest in terms of email deliverability. Customization of segmentation is far better than other tools in the market. Customer support is top notch as I always get timely responses.

**What do you dislike about Sendlane?**

Their integration capabilities aren't great as they don't integrate with a few apps that we used. They have also updated their pricing recently which is quite underwhelming.

The UI and email deliverability with Sendlane really impressed me a lot as these are very crucial parameters to be looked into as we were using a broken automation tool before to automate our emails. When deliverability is poor then you aren't using the right tool. Moreover, the role of customer support is pivotal and I had a great experience with Sendlane. I frequently rely on their assistance when facing challenges, and I am pleased to say they have been consistently responsive and supportive.

Sendlane helps in emailing all the subscribers instantly and the drag-drop option helps to create the emails easily. It helps to automate the emails and SMS service from scratch.

There is nothing much to dislike about Sendlane but it's just it doesn't have a gallery that stores all the images and graphics. Sometimes it gets confusing also.

**What do you like best about Sendlane?**

What I love the best about Sendlane is the UI (User Interface)... it is the first thing you see when opening the app and is very non-intimidating, which can be a turn-off when you are new to autoresponders and new to any particular platform. Words are large, navigation is easy, colors are lovely and unique. The helpdesk is very responsive and oh so patient for those of us who are still learning the system. While I am fairly NEW to autoresponders, this is NOT my first one but this is the one that I like best. It is simple, yet gives you many options for specificity if needed.

Um... the only thing I dislike is that I am unable to change the email address that I originally signed up with due to several factors. It doesn't REALLY matter much however I am unable to access that email address... (it is linked to a domain I own ) so I cannot see if people try to reply. I remedy this by putting a different email address in my signature. It's really a personal problem, not necessarily a problem with the app.

**What problems is Sendlane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The two biggest problems I have been able to solve with Sendlane is with easily scheduling future emails (and specifying groups &/or sub-groups/segments that receive it) and scheduling the contact clean-up that happens on a regular basis so that non-responsible members are automatically removed after a certain period of time. This way my list is always fresh. Another benefit (which I don't use but I think is excellent) is there is the option of using ready-made template designs with images for a more catchy email. I don't use it only because I use text-only emails with the specific purposes of my autoresponder needs. However, it was great when I had to send out invitations for my grandmother's funeral as people could just sign up for the list and I was able to send out nicely designed emails with images.

Sendlane currently only fully integrates with Shopify WooCommerce, Miva and ClickBank, it works with other platforms too but only limited. They do not have a gallery that stores all the images and graphics like mailchimp (currently).

We are able to send abandoned cart reminders to customer who put a product in their cart and left. We also see great result by sending welcome emails to those who just subscribed to our newsletter. It is very easy to create emails.

We've used Sendlane for a little over 2 years at this point and the personalized support is an absolute game-changer! Good luck getting in touch with anyone at Mailchimp. 

The drag and drop functionality of the automation builder is very useful for us visual folks. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing and intuitive, but it has some incredibly advanced features that really help to push your open and click rates up. 

Sendlane is about as eCommerce friendly as it can get and just makes sense to use. Do yourself a favor and move to Sendlane.

I dislike nothing. Every time I think there is something buggy it's just me not looking in the right place but as an enterprise client, our account managers always jump on that right away.

Sendlane offers above-average deliverability, as well as custom event triggers that are remarkably easy to set up. Their predictive sending times of campaigns improves campaign performance a bit compared to the competition. Also, their support guides are incredibly well-written and contain substantial amounts of information.

**What do you dislike about Sendlane?**

Support for major e-commerce platforms not named Shopify, like BigCommerce, is dilapidated to the point that you cannot trust the accuracy of essential KPIs like attributable revenue. Additionally, contact imports are subject to human review–which itself is not an issue, but you may find yourself suddenly and inexplicably subject to being unable to continue manual imports even if your spam and unsubscribe rates are low. After switching email service providers to one of their competitors–who has no issue with manual contact imports–we experienced a noticeable improvement to deliverability.

**Recommendations to others considering Sendlane:**

If you are a Shopify user and bring your contacts in solely through that CRM, Sendlane might be a perfect solution. Outside of that, look elsewhere.

The support was a pleasant surprise. So many products out there look great, but offer little-to-no support, beyond a slow responding help desk. Not the case with Sendlane. From the beginning we were assigned a Sendlane rep and I was pleasantly surprised at the level of help she provided in getting us setup. What a relief to have someone from Sendlane take the time to really look into how we were setup in our CRM and help us import data into our Sendlane account.

**What do you dislike about Sendlane?**

Nothing really so far. All of our contact with Sendlane has been nothing but positive thus far. 

Note: I am new to the Internet Marketing space, so it would be good for Sendlane to have Sendlane have more information on their home pages that explains to someone with my profile (an IM newbie) why their service is good and why it's important to have in place, beyond the services that are already available to me through my current CRM.  Maybe a section on their site that really spells out, in layman's terms, why the Sendlane service is important.  My biggest question mark is how will Sendlane ultimately improve our bottom line, compared to marketing through our CRM.

I have yet to dive deep into the offerings of Sendlane, so there may be some things that come up later down the line. But for now, it's all systems go. The dashboard seems intuitive and complete.

**Recommendations to others considering Sendlane:**

I would recommend Sendlane. Especially for someone who may not be tech-savvy. The support we received from our rep has been much appreciated.

Nothing too ground breaking to note here. We needed help with our email marketing and Sendlane delivered. I believe Sendlane will also offer us certain benefits in terms of reputation and deliverability.

After trying many many autoresponders on the market I finally found Sendlane. Their platform is intuitive and constantly evolving and their support is 2nd to none, super friendly and always there to help with anything you might need from setting something up to looking at stats and helping explain them. Deliverability is excellent.  I also find the automations an excellent feature especially the ability to split the audience based on their responses, really neat.  I did have a challenge integrating with ThriveCart not a few months back and Sendlane were happy to get their development team talking with ThriveCart's team to find a resolution, a level of service I haven't come across.  I am also impressed with the innovation and evolution of the platform which has seen several feature updates and releases since I have been using it. As I say I have tried many of the mainstream autoresponders and and Sendlane is the best I have used.

I haven't come across anything I dislike about the the Sendlane platform, as I say it is a very well thought out environment which is intuitive to use and has top notch support if you ever get stuck.

Powerful automation features with and/or/if statements to then send those contacts email blasts and track conversions from within.  Able to resend emails to people who missed your first emails, to segment by email, name, location, other variables, etc.

They also allow marketing emails while many other email platforms do not. This is a very major selling point and makes it stand out from the rest.

if there was an easier "one click" type of way to cleanup bounced/unsubbed/inactive emails so they don't clog up the account.

The automations that you can easily custom build to help manage your lists. List hygiene is important, and Sendlane helped us setup automatic emails to retarget unengaged contacts and filter out the uninterested ones. The Sendlane staff has been super helpful in educating us on better practices and helping us improve our capabilities. Our engagement rates have skyrocketed since using Sendlane!

**What do you dislike about Sendlane?**

There's not much we dislike. We have two brands on one account that we switch back and forth between, but revenue and metrics/data collection can only be integrated to one store at a time. It would be nice to connect to both storefronts this way. I wish there was a mobile app with some campaign building capabilities for managing our email marketing when on the road, but I'm told their dev team has been looking at it. More tutorials on specific automations would be helpful so I don't have to bug my Sendlane rep too often, but they are always willing to help anyway they can.

I would heavily recommend Sendlane to any mid to large size business that needs powerful email marketing tools without the hassles from other email platform providers.

I would highly recommend Sendlane to B2C eCommerce marketers working with businesses up to $5M MRR as I think there is excellent functionality to price. There are some enterprise elements that may be lacking for businesses above that size but it’s perfect in its niche.

We are looking to nurture customers from blog subscribers to buyer and then to subscribers. We have seen a 20%+ purchase rate from email which is 15x our other channels.

Navigation at first takes some learning and getting use to. However once you get a hold of EVERYTHING they have it’s fairly easy.

**Recommendations to others considering Sendlane:**

If you’re going to shop around SendLane is one of the best compared to other email service providers. One thing I will recommend is taking about an hour to learn the ins and outs since it’s RELATIVELY easy to use once you get the hang of it.

**What problems is Sendlane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deliverability with our emails has gone through the roof! More opens and clicks!!

I would say customer service. Very friendly people who wants to help you always

A bit expensive, especially if you are just starting. Would be great to have a special price plan for those ones who still have small list. As all it takes time and much effort in the beginning.

Develop special plan for beginners (till 1000 -3000 subscribers)

I was able to automate many things. Actually I haven't used any similar platforms before, but I find it very powerful and useful now.

**What do you like best about Sendlane?**

Sendlane's customer support is one of those rare cases in SAAS where they actually go above and beyond to make sure the clients needs are met. It is a culture thing. Jimmy their CEO is one of the sharpest minds in email marketing and his passion for his product inspires everyone around him.

**What do you dislike about Sendlane?**

The platform is still young and lacks some of the functionalities of bigger companies. Their roadmap includes a lot of changes and we have decided to stick with them because we know once all the changes are implemented, you still have the best team support in email marketing.

**What problems is Sendlane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The number one issue that we solved with Sendlane was deliverability and domain reputation rehabilition. Aside from that great flow implementation and segmentation of our cohorts into email audiences have been really benefitial to both open rate and click through rate.

I like the multi-variant split test features, revenue/conversion summary snapshot, and the duplicate campaigns in the automation canvas area. The last one saves me massive time being able to re-use previously sent campaigns, and add them to my marketing automation sequences.

Test emails sometimes take 5-10 minutes to come.

**What problems is Sendlane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to quickly communicate messages, both sales, and engagement emails with customers. From email creation to delivering it right in their inbox with minimal steps.

The UI is easy to use for both expert and novice users. Customer service is stellar.

**What do you dislike about Sendlane?**

I dislike the dashboard page. It's overwhelming.

If your in the cannabis business this is the most robust platform out there.

**What problems is Sendlane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous provider didn't offer automation and Sendlane solved that problem. The biggest benefit we've seen is the use of conversion rules. This has helped us get the right content in front of customers to drive the most conversions.

Email Marketing automation by Sendlane has always kept me connected with my audience, it is mobile responsive, flexible and functional. They provide me with 24/7 live chat support, a lot of unique video lessons about modules, tons of case studies and it supports  ecommerce in all possible ways.

**What do you dislike about Sendlane?**

Sendlane is way more  expensive than other competitors in the market right now, so if prices could be little cheaper this could mean a big future for them.

Sendlane helps me automate my email campaigns so I can easily engage with my audience, the analytics and the documentation makes all thing even better and more understandable.

Honestly I love how the platform is always evolving, in our 14 months there have been so many useful updates to the platform. What I like best is the simplicity, i've used many other platforms and this has saved me a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Sendlane?**

The only things that's a bit clunky is the agency side of things, my session gets timed out frequently and it's clunky getting back in, more steps than I believe are necessary.

**Recommendations to others considering Sendlane:**

I've used many ESPs and Sendlane is by far the best bang for the buck. Great features, easy to use, reliable and affordable.

**What problems is Sendlane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly email marketing, but now with your strong integration with Shopify we will be leveraging many more features when we launch next week.

Sendlane provides an arsenal of useful tools and service, far more than any of the other platforms we've used in the space. The software is loaded with metrics that directly relate to the eComm business and help us make better and smarter decisions around our automations / email follow up sequences. The deliverability is OUTSTANDING and the service from their team is the fastest we've experienced...EVER.
