What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?

I absolutely love this program—it has integrated seamlessly with NextGen. It has been incredibly helpful in lowering our denial rate by reducing coding errors and decreasing the number of encounters we need to review manually each day. The coding edits are comprehensive and user-friendly, and we truly value the option to create customizable edits that address our specific needs based on denials and trends. This feature saves us a significant amount of time with very little effort, which allows our staff to concentrate on other important tasks. The support team is also excellent, always responding quickly to our tickets. I highly recommend this program to anyone aiming to streamline their coding and billing process. What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?

"Stability is underrated..."
What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?

The stability it provides is amazing. We have an average of 1 million cases a year, across 200 billing areas in over 20 states. We have had this program with Centricity in 2017, and again when we acquired our aIDX billing platform.

RCx ensures that no matter where we have business, we have rules to keep our charges in line with payer requirements and coding guidelines. They promised a 45 day implementation and delivered. Their programming team takes my requests and instead of saying 'no it doesn't do that', they say 'hmmm, how CAN we make that work?'. It is easy to use, and easy to integrate into and out of. What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?

What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?

We are very pleased with leadership at RCE, they are always willing to assist and help and talk through our requests. RCE seems to be willing to listen to customers' needs/wants. A big topic right now is automation, and I feel like RCE is headed in that direction, I look forward to seeing what their ROADMAP contains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?

We struggled with articles for a long time and that seems to be heading in the right direction with less issues now.

A big pain point is not being able to see what subrules are used in other rules, as we have hundreds of both. We would also REALLY like the ability to debug exclusions and subrules like you can with regular rules.

And lastly, more of a pain point rather than dislike, we struggle with the support team. We are very knowledgeable in the RCE application and write our own rules/exclusions/subrules etc. I think it is important for support to KNOW who their customers are as that helps resolve issues timely and accurately. We struggle with them understanding our set up of RCx as we don't have users work in the system we utilize RCE as a third-party claim scrubber. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

From implementation to everyday usage, we have experienced exceptional results in the performance of the RCxRules (Aptarro) rules engine and customer support. The automation of this revenue cycle engine has contributed to increased efficiency throughout our billing process. We were able to streamline our front-end processes and reduce rejections and denials. This rules engine is a critical part of our team's daily workflows and staff have commented on how easy it was to learn and integrate into their processes. It is extremely easy to use. The customization that can be done with rule writing, sort options, view options is incredible. Any time I have an issue and open a support ticket it is handled right away, I never have to wait longer than a few hours for an answer. What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?

The only down side is the reporting capability and how productivity is tracked. It is not tracked by the number of encounters worked only by number of edits worked. This makes productivity tracking a very long, manual and tedious project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We like the automation of the program that helps us correct all of the tedious errors that are submitted by the clinics or specific changes that are needed for specific clinics or insurance. This has been a huge help when we process charges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?

I don't like that we have to update the code sets. If this could be more of an automation that would be a small victory, instead of us having to check ever quarter to see if they need to be updated.

The rules need to be very specific and cannot be vague or have a range, specifically the diagnoses. If we wanted something to be combined in ophthalmology for both eyes, we would need to have a rule specific to each types of diagnoses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As someone new to both the company and to using RevCycle Engine, I’ve found the platform to be very intuitive and easy to adopt. The dashboards provide a clear view of key revenue cycle metrics, which makes it simple to identify trends and opportunities for improvement without having to dig through multiple reports. I especially appreciate how organized the workflows are—claims, denials, and payments are all tracked in one place, reducing manual effort and helping me get up to speed quickly. Since I am still fairly new to the system, my main challenge has been the learning curve in understanding all of the available features and how they integrate with our existing workflows. Some of the reporting options could be a little more customizable, and at times it takes extra clicks to drill down into the details I need. What do you like best about RevCycle Engine?

It's very easy to work in RevCycle Engine, corrections are simple and the most common fields are on one page. The ease of creating rules that work automatically has meant my staff is able to review and correct coding more efficiently than other revenue product we've had in the past. Not only does it save the team time but since we are experiencing unprecedented growth, we have been able to add providers without adding additional staff. It is a tremendous value for us.

The support process and team are the best I've ever worked with. The implementation was hectic because we are a large physician group, but the training team was amazing and provided support well past our go-live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RevCycle Engine?
