Because it uses Outlooks formatting tools some users find it challenging to use as the Outlook formatting tools are not the most intuitive. Inability to purchase a user licence without having to connect directly with a salesperson. Syncronym is a great function but the cost is really high, with no discount even if you have the basic platform. **What problems is PoliteMail solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allowed us insight into employee emails and AB test to help create more engaging emails. ### 2. This makes upgrading very difficult. Old clients shold still function on Newer servers, albeit without feature updates. **What problems is PoliteMail solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping versions the same. Did have some issues with conflicting addins early on, but Politemail worked throught hem and altered their code as needed. ### 3. We've made decisions on basis of what has worked. Currently there are no features for that. As an advocate for the tool at a service line level, it becomes difficult to convince professionals to stick to the plan if something goes wrong. **What problems is PoliteMail solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've been able to successfully narrow down slots for multiple newsletters on when they function better. We've also been able to identify the kind of campaigns that would benefit from using the tool. ### 4. Lots of solid features like timed send, personalisation, etc. They have a good knowledge bank of articles and the service team are helpful when needed. **What do you dislike about PoliteMail?** I'd like to see a web-based interface developed. We have now put some custom e-newsletter models using the platform and it was really simple. And different methods used to schedule cause the pc of mine to be on as well as on the system to transmit communications in a set time, which totally contradict the purposes of scheduling. Don't have to worry about it for PoliteMail. And it can also be useful to see which time / days to send messages are much better. **What do you dislike about PoliteMail?** The only thing I don't like is that I have found ongoing problems following the last PoliteMail version. The opportunities for me often crash when I'm invited or even when a message is sent. That's unsettling, frankly. **Recommendations to others considering PoliteMail:** This is an incredibly helpful service, but given the difficulties that we face, I find nothing like PoliteMail in this business. **What problems is PoliteMail solving and how is that benefiting you?** Nice to be able to send a delivery email on the next day and never have to wonder if it will be shipped on time. I will say, though, that customer service above all else has been what would make me recommend the product so far. **What do you dislike about PoliteMail?** There's a bit of a learning curve, so don't expect to jump right in and know exactly how to do everything. Like most programs, take your time to figure out what you need to do, then seek out those who know how to do it so they can give you some tutorials. Hands-on learning is best with something like this. There *can* be down time and traffic jams, so you have to make sure you're coordinating appropriately with your team. **Recommendations to others considering PoliteMail:** Go through tutorials and take your time getting to know the software. There are multiple layers to the software (it's integration into Outlook is key for me), so it takes time to get to know and understand it all. **What problems is PoliteMail solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're sending a lot of emails to a lot of people, so multiple colleagues have access - being able to jump in and take care of things individually is a good thing. But, make sure you have a traffic cop of sorts if you plan on utilizing a team instead of just one or two people to create and send emails. ### 10. Using the platform we've already arranged some personalized e-newsletter models, and it was pretty simple. And for scheduling, other methods that we've used allow my computer to be on and on the system for an email to be transmitted at the predetermined time — which totally contradicts scheduling purposes. For PoliteMail don't have to think about it. And the statistics are also helpful in monitoring what hours / days are better to send messages. **What do you dislike about PoliteMail?** The main thing I just do not like is the continuing problems I've seen since the last version of PoliteMail. My Outlook also crashes when I get invites to meet, or if an email is sent. This is really upsetting. **Recommendations to others considering PoliteMail:** This is a really useful service, but I don't find there's anything like PoliteMail on the market, even with the challenges we've faced. **What problems is PoliteMail solving and how is that benefiting you?** Value being able to arrange a delivery email the following day, and not needing to wonder whether it would be delivered on time. This is a feature that can be done in other platforms (Poppulo). It has been a great system that we use from the CEO level down to the department level. When we have to edit a link or have an error, we don't have to send out a new email, we can simply update the link in the PoliteMail system and not worry about it. **What do you dislike about PoliteMail?** PoliteMail tends to crash the Outlook email program and some users had to uninstall the program and cannot use it. Another downfall is that the email campaigns will default to a font that is not in the template. **What problems is PoliteMail solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are getting more strategic with our internal email campaigns. When there is important information that needs to be sent out, using PoliteMail allows us to see who is opening the emails so when we get push back or are told they never received the email, we have the proof to show them they did. I was struggling to use the tool and clicked on the "help" button and almost immediately I was connected with assistance. She took the time to help me, and answer all the questions I had (which was a lot). I can then run analytics within the platform, generate reports, and more with just a few clicks. The learning curve to get up to speed is fairly low, which is much appreciated when you just want to get going and create the campaigns you need. No one has the bandwidth to have to learn a ton of new instructions every time you integrate a new tool into your stack, so speed and efficiency is greatly appreciated. **What do you dislike about PoliteMail?** We currently use the on-premise server version and it does require a lot of team members to set it up on an ongoing basis. While not an issue on the Politemail side, it does take time and multiple people's bandwidth in order to set it up correctly. **What problems is PoliteMail solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use the platform to send out multiple emails to a few thousand addresses, so being able to use our pre-existing templates for different types of campaigns is great. They are easy to setup, send, and then track for analytics. We also appreciate that Politemail provides us with their own intelligence and reporting that we leverage for our own internal anlyatics. Having these benchmarks that are accurrate are extremely beneficial to show how we're working and tracking against our industry and beyond. ### 30. I haven't used other similar platforms so can't compare but I think PoliteMail is very useful when you are trained well on how to use it. **What do you dislike about PoliteMail?** I have not had the proper training with PoliteMail so I had to figure out most of the things on my own. There are a lot of functions - which is not a downside, you just need to learn them and make good use! I also need to constantly make sure I'm connected to the PoliteMail server - I wish it would be enough to connect once when you open Outlook. **What problems is PoliteMail solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm using PoliteMail to create email templates for mass emails sent company-wide every week.
