**What do you like best about Patch My PC?**

ARM64 and macOS support are great additions, and Advanced Insights is really useful for visibility and reporting. The catalog keeps growing, updates are reliable, and the automation with Intune/SCCM saves a lot of time. Overall it makes patching consistent and mostly hands-off.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

More control over versions (pinning or selecting specific releases) would help with compatibility scenarios. It would also be useful to have better app duplication with different configs/scopes, more flexible detection options (like file-based detection), and improved support for larger packages (>2GB WSUS CAB limits), MSIX/AppX, and multi-file or zipped installers.

Smarter dependency handling for SCCM applications (VC++ runtimes, .NET, Java prerequisites) would also be a big improvement, especially with automatic prerequisite handling per app/version.

Finally, more granular automation from Advanced Insights (including remediation actions) and possibly a lightweight SCCM console extension would be a great next step.

**What do you like best about Patch My PC?**

The most useful thing for us is the vast repository of third-party apps, which saves many hours we’d otherwise spend manually searching for and downloading them. I also really like how simple and fast the integration with Configuration Manager was.

During our trial period, we ran into a few issues when deploying/patching a specific application, but the support team behind Patch My PC was super responsive, and we managed to solve all the hiccups before going into production. Since integrating Patch My PC, deploying and updating apps has been much faster and smoother.

During our evaluation, we also tested a few other similar tools for updating and deploying third-party apps, but we concluded that Patch My PC is the best fit for us. It also has the best price/performance ratio. The UX/UI isn’t very modern, but it’s user-friendly and gets the job done.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

I don’t dislike anything regarding Patch My PC.

**What problems is Patch My PC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Patch My PC, we had to prepare most third-party software updates and application deployments manually in Configuration Manager. This took a lot of time, and we often fell behind on security updates. Now that’s in the past.

**What do you like best about Patch My PC?**

The PMPC Portal allows for creating applications once and using them in SCCM and Intune. On a webinar, they recommended using Master Packager to make applications essentially all encompassing for include all things needed to install applications with prerequisites included in the install package.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

Acquiring updates from various sources is still an issue in that even when you can reach the myriad servers where the updates live, the updates do not always match the MD5 Hash. A central server/location could resolve this issue also.

**What problems is Patch My PC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My favorite feature is the ability to add "Application" to SCCM and Intune automatically and keep them updated. I used to do this manually and would spend several hours a month downloading and updating the apps in SCCM. By including these automatic "Applications"  in our image and as requirements on workstations, our machines stay up-to-date for standard apps, even outside a patching window.

**What do you like best about Patch My PC?**

I really like that Patch My PC is a 'set it and forget it' product while still allowing me to make adjustments such as adding more software titles or removing those that are no longer needed. It's great that it lets us easily incorporate a lot of standard software like browsers, Zoom, and lightweight products like Notepad++ into our library of supported apps. Using it with Microsoft Configuration Manager has been solid, and the ability to add and manage software easily stands out as a valuable feature.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

A lot of environments have customized software installation procedures. Somehow having a feature or workflow to provide Patch My PC customized software installation instructions could be helpful.

**What problems is Patch My PC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch My PC provides timely patches for our software. It's a 'set it and forget it' product, allowing easy adjustments for adding or removing software. It also helps manage standard software, although a feature for custom software instructions would be useful.

**What do you like best about Patch My PC?**

I use Patch My PC in conjunction with Intune to automate our patch management and obtain more comprehensible reporting. I appreciate the automatic patching of third-party apps and the easier understanding of the reports. The operation is very easy and almost foolproof. The discovery feature is very good, as I can see which third-party apps are already supported by Patch My PC and which are already used in my environment. This allows me to automate these updates with just a few clicks. The initial setup was very easy and was further facilitated by the setup call with Patch My PC.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

At first, it wasn't entirely clear to me how to deploy configuration settings for apps. It's a bit cumbersome because it has to be done via a PowerShell script. It would be nicer if it could be set directly in the app deployment.

I use Patch My PC for automated patch management with more straightforward reporting than Intune. It facilitates the automatic patching of third-party apps and offers easy operation.

We had very little idea of our software inventory, versions and potential vulnerabilities. Patch My PC has given us a clear inventory of software and allowed us to create a software inventory as well as ensuring that software is up to date and supported.
Installing the agent was straight forward to get the system up and running on our vast estate.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

It would be excellent if Windows Updates were available to push straight through the Patch My PC console.

**What problems is Patch My PC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main concern and reason for purchasing Patch My PC was the unknown software estate in the organisation. Patch My PC has given us a very clear dashboard where we can see software and versions.
In an educational establishment, this has also supported Safeguarding to ensure that students do not have any unapproved software such as different web browsers that can bypass filtering and monitoring.
Patch My PC also allows for quick deployment of approved software to a specific machine or group of machines which has saved a lot of admin time.

**What do you like best about Patch My PC?**

I like how Patch My PC makes management of applications much easier, especially with packaging custom apps. The pre-packed apps perform really well, particularly for continuous updates. The UI is easy to use, and the platform overall works really well. I particularly appreciate the way it extracts information from MSIs and makes deploying custom apps easier. It's quick to update Intune with changes made on the Patch My PC portal. The automatic extraction of silent parameters and application info saves me time and makes deploying apps quicker and easier.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

Currently, scripts are added when deploying an app. It would be better if scripts could be added to the configuration of the app in the app store itself, so it acts as a source of truth. If an application's updates are paused, and an update ring is applied, then the updates are un-paused, it tends to release the update to all rings at the same time as it's basing its time comparison off when the update was released, rather than from when it was un-paused. This is less of a fault and more the way it was designed, but it would be good if this could be changed.

Patch My PC simplifies application management, particularly in packaging custom apps. The pre-packed apps work well for updates. It quickly extracts silent parameters and info from MSIs, making deployment faster and easier, saving time.

I use Patch My PC to govern and update enterprise applications, which greatly improves the time it takes to deploy and update apps across many endpoints. I find the Patch My PC UI to be clean, efficient, and intuitive, especially compared to Intune at times. I really like the App Discovery page and the App Deployments page because they are super easy to navigate, making deploying apps a fun experience. The App Discovery page is particularly useful as it shows what apps are installed in my environment and on how many devices, allowing me to deploy apps directly from that screen based on usage statistics. I can also see what versions are installed and update them with just a few clicks. Additionally, the initial setup was super easy as it only required connecting to Intune.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

Patch My PC could add API keys to export data to Power BI or other dashboards to make reports. Also, they could add an end of life software page that shows what software is going out of support and what will be removed from the platform.

I use Patch My PC to govern updates efficiently across multiple endpoints, deploying and updating apps quickly and intuitively compared to Intune alone. The App Discovery page helps identify installed apps and update them effortlessly.

**What do you like best about Patch My PC?**

I really appreciate the intuitive nature of the User Interface in Patch My PC and its integration directly into Intune, which makes the process straightforward. The way it replaces applications with their updated versions and cleans up the old ones is fantastic. Since I work with Intune and M365 daily, having similar icons and an easy-to-select application catalog makes everything a breeze. I don't have to manually package and upload applications into Intune anymore, which saves a lot of time. Also, the initial setup was very, very simple. Overall, Patch My PC is a great product that's well worth the money and is well priced.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

The only thing it can't do is mass uninstallation of applications through the use of app sets across multiple tenancies. This is more of a cleanup exercise than anything else so isn't crucial, but it would be beneficial to have. It would be useful to be able to group a bunch of outdated software versions, or even just a group of applications in general that we want to wipe from our clients. Then just be able to click a button and all of those app versions are uninstalled across all tenancies, instead of having to manually edit each tenancy, find the apps to remove, and remove them one by one.

I use Patch My PC to manage software for clients and our internal systems, saving hours of manual patching by keeping applications up to date automatically.

It helps me deploy software to both clients and servers. Best feature is the update-feature : if a new release of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge is released, a new deployment is created automatically.

Until now : nothing. But I'm using is for a couple of months now

Deployments are created via a wizard which adds scripts to the deployment automatically. All checks are now done by PmPC whereas this was manual work before.

**What do you like best about Patch My PC?**

I like the usability of Patch My PC; it's easy to use, and I can guide someone who's never used it before to deploy an app with just a few clicks. The support is also really great because if I run into any issue, I can open a support ticket and it's usually answered or responded to almost the same day. The integration with Intune is exactly what I was looking for, and their integration is very solid and easy to set up. I also find setting up Patch My PC very easy, taking only about thirty minutes.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

I know it's something that they are working on, but the Intune analytics is a little weak. It feels like I am still just kind of exporting CSVs, which I can do through Intune already. It would be nice if it was kind of like a Power BI stylized dashboard where you can actually click into search stuff and all of that. Right now, it's just kind of here's a bunch of tables and look at them.

Patch My PC automates software and patch management, relieving me from focusing on updates. The Intune integration is solid and easy to set up, providing a large software catalog.

**What do you like best about Patch My PC?**

IN a word, Cloud.  I was initially hesitant to introduce another tool to manage patching, but after integrating Patch My PC cloud with our Intune environment, that hesitation quickly disappeared. The console proved to be fast, flexible, and allowed our team to work independently without added overhead. With the recent introduction of the MacOS app update features in Patch My PC Cloud, the platform has become even more valuable—streamlining application updates and reducing manual effort even further. After the initial setup, most application updates truly became “set it and forget it.” I also appreciate that, with Intune still serving as the delivery mechanism, we retain the ability to manually adjust packages when needed. As a result, the cloud instance of Patch My PC is becoming a core component of our company’s application updating and deployment strategy.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

I would like to see a further expansion of app updates for MacOS apps.

Patch My PC allows for app updates to happen as seemlessly as possible, so much so you almost forget about it at times. I recommend this to anyone managing SCCM(MECM), you wont regret it!

LOL - Nothing, we have had no issues with Patch My PC, at all.

It's allowing for patching to happen with little to no interaction needed on our end. It takes a huge task off our plates so we can focus on other tasks.

The connection ton Microsoft Intune allows our IT department to automate software installation, updated and patching. This alone is the work of one full time employee.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

Only issue I have is that it does not allow for easy registry key deployments. Coming from Scappman that was a great feature.

**What problems is Patch My PC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote deploying application and keeping them updated is a huge benefit for our IT team and the company. This allows us to not have to track when updates are available, have someone download and prepare them for Intune deployment. The yearly price is relatively low for the service and benefits gained, ikt's a no brainer.

I think the reporting tool could really benefit from having more built-in reports, or even offering the ability to create custom ones. I’d also love to have an option to export the graphs directly, rather than just exporting the raw data and having to build the graphs myself.

Patch My PC has made software packaging so much simpler and far less time consuming. If I had to manually package everything, it would pretty much be a full-time job. Thanks to PMPC, I now have much more free time to focus on other tasks that need my attention. Plus, I’m not a fan of using the Intune app packaging utility, and PMPC lets me avoid that entirely.

I love that Patch My PC scans all the software in use in my organization and shows me which apps are available in its app catalog, making it easy to identify which ones to deploy. The reports I receive are great because they tell me when updates were deployed and include the release notes. It's been a huge timesaver since I no longer have to manually check apps like Google Chrome and Firefox for updates to package and deploy with Intune. The Discovery feature showing which apps are in use and on how many devices is also something I love. Plus, I found the initial setup extremely easy and was impressed with how quickly I could get set up and deploy my first app.

I think it would be cool if the Discovery feature also showed me which devices in particular had the app. Also, support has been a bit lacking since I signed up. When I did have a question, I never heard back from anyone.

I like the simple, user-friendly interface - it makes deploying applications and assignments very straight forward with no requirement of coding, reg keys, group policies or anything complex that would be needed to do the same work without Patch My PC.

I also really rate their customer support - both times I've needed help they have scheduled engineers on to a call with me and they were more than happy to help. They didn't just answer my questions but went above and beyond to review my current settings and make suggestions to my enviroment to improve how I use their tool.

There is a wide variety of options to use which can feel a little overwhelming at the start. The documentation is good but can be a little unclear if you are new to deploying a patch tool. However, I feel this is offset by their very helpful support team who were happy to jump on calls with me to ensure I got what I needed.

Patch My PC solves 2 major problems for me. 

It is handling all my 3rd party patching, which greatly increases the cybersecurity of my organisation. We are no longer running out of date applications that open us up to attacks, which is crucial.

Secondly, it is saving me a TONNE of time which would have been spent doing this manually. To do what Patch My PC is doing, it would take me probably 20 hours per week, every single week. It is massively freeing up my time to work on other projects while having peace of mind that they are taking care of this critical security function.

This has been a great product that continues to grow with us as we mature our systems. With the enterprise licensing it also includes Intune support and the Advanced analytics reporting of SCCM data. They continue to exceed our expectations and at an unbelievably low cost. The fact they can package up your applications from an extensive catalog on top of the patching turns this into a product that can pay for itself many times over in the labor savings alone.

PatchMyPC has done a great job with webinars.  I rarakey have any issues with this application and once patching is setup, there is pretty mucvh not more you need to do but allow the pathces to apply as they become vulberable.  They are now extendeing to MacOS device as well

What made me like it less was its selection of applications they can update.  I would have like a bigger list of application.  Some applications i need the instalkler placed in a repository.  It would be great if that was not needed, so we could elimate that manual process

The problem PatchMyPC is solving is our 3rd party software patch management.  We attempted to do this via Intune ourselves, but are novice on the Intune platform.  Our vulnerability scans were showing lots of 3rd party application vulnerabilities and PatchMyPC integartion into Intune takes the worry and work out of keeping these applications up to date.  Most of the publishing report emails patch our software before we know there is a vulnerability.

With the launch of Advanced Insights, it changed the way how reporting used to be. SCCM or MECM never known for their reporting, it always a challenge and most of the time going directly into SQL to retrieve the needed information is the only way but one must know well on their complex SQL design.
After adopting Advanced Insights, gathering information has never been so easy. Instance reports ready for management view.

Maybe focusing on a dedicated product and get it delivered faster is my only complain.

Third-party software patching is one of the biggest challenges for a small team (1 person) to patch thousands of PC. The time to package, test, and roll out took too many hours. Patch My PC helps remove all of those works and requires a one-time setup only.

It's easy to use and follows a similar approach to Intune, making it simple to integrate and intuitive to use from the start. The portal is easy to navigate, and their customer support is fast and approachable. Implementation was straightforward with the onboarding session. If we need to update or add a new app across the business, we just jump into the portal. It’s largely a “set and forget” solution—no need for frequent interaction. It also significantly reduced vulnerabilities in a very short time.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

Reporting. There’s a lack of built-in reporting functionality. While this can be addressed through Intune compliance configurations, it would be ideal to have a clear view directly within Patch My PC—such as which applications are up to date and which still require vendor updates.

**What problems is Patch My PC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch My PC is helping us stay on top of our Essential Eight compliance by continuously addressing vulnerabilities with consistent updates. It significantly reduces the time required to protect against and mitigate emerging CVEs, allowing us to respond faster and more efficiently.

Initially the high limit of minimum PCs was kinda too high for italian market, but now that the licensing model was updated everything is super!

**What problems is Patch My PC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are an MSP and usually manage the installation of softwares for our end customer and it's updates.
Wether it is via GPO/Intune/SCCM or WSUS, but we always have to struggle in the maintenance and updates of those. With patchmypc everything is automatic and we can focus on other tasks.
The fact that you now offer a SaaS solution is fantastic, and the multi-tancy also is super, to manage multiple customers.

**What do you like best about Patch My PC?**

I'm currently a technology specialist for a Minnesota school district. My days are spent wrangling around 2,000 Windows devices with SCCM and patching—basically, herding digital cats, holding them down, and applying software patches.

About 60% of my time felt like a Groundhog Day loop of downloading, configuring, and building software update packages for SCCM. We were churning out browser packages like a factory gone wild, sometimes 5-6 times a month! I swear I started dreaming (nightmares) of browser update e-mails.

Then, a peer from another district, clearly sensing my impending digital burnout, swooped in like Obi-Wan Kenobi. He whispered, 'Come here, Young Jedi... You should be using the Force...'

And that 'Force'? Patch My PC. Turns out, I didn't need a lightsaber, just a better patching solution.

From my desperate plea for more information using their website contact form, Patch My PC responded with the speed of a caffeine-fueled squirrel. 

I had an engineer on the line for a demo faster than you can say 'software update.' Honestly, I was stunned. Not only did it all click into place like a perfect puzzle, but getting it up and running? Easier than finding free coffee in the breakroom. Color me impressed...and slightly ashamed I hadn't found them sooner.

Alright, let's talk brass tacks. The Patch My PC pricing? Shockingly reasonable! We went with the Premium, with the bells and whistles of Advanced Insights. Plus, they didn't treat us educational folks like “odd ducks”. Major win.

So, we got the green light from the bean counters, and boom—online meeting with the Patch My PC wizards. Two hours later, we were up and running. Seriously, two hours! I was expecting a two week-long IT odyssey, but nope. We were patching that afternoon. 

My favorite bit? This little 'database barrel' icon in the Updates tab. Click it, and it's like Patch My PC goes fishing in our SCCM database, pulls out all our apps, and presents them on a silver platter. Sort by 'Count', pick what you want updated, and bam! Done. It’s almost too easy; I felt slightly cheated out of a good IT struggle.

But wait, there's more! Go to the Configuration Manager tab, browse by vendor, and... they build the packages for you! No more all-day wrestling with manual packaging, trying to figure out command line switches and how to wrap executables. I'm pretty sure I heard angels sing the first time I used that feature. I've reclaimed so many hours, I might actually have time to remember what sunlight feels like.

Seriously though, all humor aside… Patch My PC has significantly improved my work-life balance. Patching? Used to be a dreaded nightmare. Now? I mostly just watch it work its magic. We axed almost 9,000 digital baddies in a blink, just a few short months after implementation. – try doing that manually. Support is swift and responsive. Just want Patch My PC to do an Environment Review to check your implementation or check your settings? Book a session, and you will have an engineer at a time of your choosing. 

Seriously, Patch My PC is sooooo good, I practically need a megaphone to tell everyone. My technology peers from other districts probably think I've joined a patching cult. I guess I have... and I am good with that... We are thrilled, bordering on ecstatic. We just renewed for another three years!

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

We have not really found anything that we dislike about Patch My PC. We use it daily, and the only impact we saw was the larger than normal CPU load on the SCCM server as it was going crazy patching all of our devices. There was just a little bit of tweaking to get the Automatic Deployment Rules set just right, and to set it up so that it was not storing old packages. All of that was documented very well, and the engineer was very careful to explain those particular settings.

It  has been a game changer when it comes to Software Security and remediation of known CVE vulnerabilities.

Simplicity. It's so straight forward for something so feature rich. I wish we'd chosen PatchMyPC years ago, it's already made my life far easier. It's consistent, it packages apps, you can customise them etc. Brilliant. It's incredibly easy to install and set up yourself and the support team are moments away for a review call. Looking to integrate with Intune next and spilt our Co-managed workloads. PatchMyPC, where have you been all my life!

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

I think the only thing I'd change would be the sync schedule granularity. Whilst daily, weekly, monthly etc. is fine, it would be nice to be able to set it to sync every 3 days for example.

**What problems is Patch My PC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's taking care of patching over 100 3rd party applications, and I've now started using it to package newer versions of these that we offer clients. As it syncs daily and creates a new application when available, we can always offer the latest version to clients to mitigate stale versions and reduce the time analysts take to repeatedly package these applications.

Non-Microsoft apps are notoriously "fun" to keep updated via Intune. Now, we can reliably deploy those without worrying about the time commitment of keeping them updated. Not only has this saved us time, but it's also allowed us to support more apps in our environment. At the same time, it allows us to keep in-prod apps secure.

It's great how we can use checkboxes next to each item in the list and select multiple apps and updates simultaneously.

Patch My PC includes a valuable discovery feature that allows visibility into all unmanaged applications across the infrastructure, along with their respective installation counts. However, there is currently no option to export this data to an XML file. Enabling such an export capability would significantly enhance reporting, analysis, and integration with other tools or workflows.

We don't need a different team with a particular skillset for application packaging.

The biggest win is how effortlessly it integrates with Microsoft Intune to automate third-party application updates. The catalog is extensive, and the ability to silently deploy and update apps without user disruption has saved us a ton of time. I also really value the level of customization — things like pre/post-scripts, custom install options, and the ability to exclude specific apps from auto-updates make it highly flexible for different environments. Plus, the support team is responsive and proactive, which really sets them apart.

**What do you dislike about Patch My PC?**

While the new SaaS platform is a great step forward — especially for cloud-native environments — it still lacks some of the key features available in the on-prem Publisher app. As a result, I often find myself jumping between both platforms to get the full picture, which adds unnecessary overhead. The biggest gap for me is the lack of detailed reporting in the SaaS console, and I'd also love to see bulk edit capabilities for deployments to save time when managing large app lists. These are quality-of-life features that would really elevate the platform.
