I've used Patch My PC with Intune and SCCM and the experience with them was terrific. You can customize so many options when it comes to deploying updates and what the users will experience. For example, Notepad++ can't be updated if it's open, most tools will fail to update it. Patch My PC allows you to prompt the user to save their work so it can be updated or close the app for it to be updated. Patch My PC, specifically the founder and CEO Justin Chalfant has a ton of super helpful videos on the Patch My PC youtube channel. They have been tremendously helpful in ensuring SCCM is set up correctly and Intune. It's honestly an underrated resource. The customer service/support from Patch My PC is also the best I've seen, it's very clear that the people at Patch My PC enjoy their jobs as they are always a pleasure to talk to. **What do you dislike about Patch My PC?** I don't currently have any dislikes, the product performs exactly as advertised. Product integration with SCCM is really simple. Customer Support is great. Despite including our logo some users have been suspicious of the popup (despite being informed about it via company wide communication). Notification has also been finicky on W11 for us as well. **What problems is Patch My PC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Freeing up administator time by handing a large number of third party application updates and install packages. Its close integration with Intune was especially appreciated for our use case. **What do you dislike about Patch My PC?** The main downsides for us are the relatively limited catalog of available apps, the inability to use PMPC with custom applications, and no support for Mac Intune apps. Not sure if that is specific to our environment or if thats across the board. Previously, we have struggled to keep up with packaging the sheer volume of product updates required in our environment. Patch my PC has taken a lot of the heavy lifting out of the process as we now have a number of applications that are being automatically updated. The support sessions for any post installation questions are excellent. Responsiveness and willingness to assist is exemplary. The catalog of supported applications is increasing all the time so I anticipate we can automate patching for even more applications in the future. **What do you dislike about Patch My PC?** I think it would be great to have a report in Configuration Manager that defines which machines have specifically been patched by updates from Patch my PC as some applications auto-update. You can only check for compliance with compliance reports. Only one instance of the Patch my PC Publisher Console can be opened at a time and this must be done from the server as there is no Desktop Client version available. **What problems is Patch My PC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Patch my PC has automated 3rd Party Application patching in our environment. On top of that, its ability to create updates for each app as they come out and assign them to the same groups really automates things and free's up some of the tedious work of managing third-party patches. On top of that, any questions I've had (either technical or billing) have been answered very quickly and thoroughly. **What do you dislike about Patch My PC?** There's not much to dislike about PatchMyPC. It checked all the boxes for us. If anything, I'd say maybe some of the differences between apps and updates needs some clarification, but I'm sure working with a tech to set it up would have cleared this up. **What problems is Patch My PC solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm the sole Intune admin, so being able to automate the process of keeping third-party apps updated free's up my time to work on other things.
