"Great tool, easy to use, great UI, support and sales were great."
What do you like best about OpenComp?

I use OpenComp every day.

The UI is very easy to use. Data is easy to pull and organize. We've used several different comp tools during my time here and this is by far the easiest to use. It also links seamlessly to our HRIS system to organize and benchmark current employees. We have already renewed and don't plan on changing anytime soon.

Support is very good as well. They are quick to respond with answers to my questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenComp?

It would be great if you could merge two positions, however, I can do this manually on my end. It's not a huge deal, but other tools have done this.

Overall, not too much I dislike. Some positions don't exist yet, but they allow you to share feedback and things get added as they continue to grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not worth it - job data accuracy and search limitations need improvement"
What do you like best about OpenComp?

It gives data insight for the ranges and you can search for different jobs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenComp?

1. Some of our most common jobs were either not in open comp at all or the data was totally different compared to actual postings we found online, so it was definitely not accurate and we had no idea where they were pulling from

2. there was a lot of overlap for titles/descriptions and so we pulled from sometimes 6 different data points and had to try and figure out what was most accurate for our positions. In some cases there were two different job titles with the EXACT same description, but the pay range was totally different.

3. You cannot search by job description, only title. For stuff like IT we found that we had to search for IT, information security, Help desk, and more, because job descriptions that aligned with our title were all titled a bunch of different ways. For us to get accurate data we just kept searching different titles. We might as well have done the same thing on Indeed.

4. For the price, it didn't really help our process all that much and was definitely not worth it.

5. The fact that a few jobs also did not match what we find in the market and were vastly different made it hard to trust any of the data at all, so we ended up cross checking with our own research anyway.

-- overall - waste of money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
