"Microsoft Sql Server Review"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Sql Server supports multiple inputs type like XML and JSON and process them per requirements. It has powerful tools like SQL query optimiser and resource monitor. Sql server has set of pre-defined user functions which helps in writing complex queries. Supports reporting services(SSRS) and integration services(SSIS) for data migration packages. It also supports the Hadoop integration now to exchange data between sql server and Hadoop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Consumes very huge amount of resources on production server. When handling very large data update, it becomes unresponsive and you have to kill it by rebooting the server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"greatest!"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

If we work in a social network it allows us to add other SQL Server servers. For example, two people who work with SQL Server, one of them can connect to the server of their other partner and so you can see the databases of the other partner with SQL Server. Also, although it allows someone to connect your SQLO to ours, however, we can tell you that you can not see this database but another one if Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

It uses a lot of RAM memory for installations and software use. It can not be used as practices because many things are forbidden, it has restrictions in the particular. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SQL Server: Reliable, fast and stable and easy to use!"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Easy to use, fast, stable and a good manager besides begin veri reliable.

I have been using SQL Server for a long time, since the 2000 version and realized how much Microsoft invested. From the 2000 version to the last one I'm currently using, to 2014, a lot has improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Tools for import data is very poor, in the old versions, this feature is better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful RDBMS - Microsoft Sql Server"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Quick shortcut to customize keyboard commands which makes things simpler when you run a query.Check the query optimizer anytime for any performance issues in your query. Help is great and available on press of F1 for any kind of sql word directly from the Microsoft. Powerful sql profiler makes the job easier when debugging an issue. There are several plugins compatible with sql sever which makes it flexible for changes. Sql Job agent is nice feature of Microsoft sql server. It has great efficiency when you deal with large data. What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Sql server is not accessible on mobile device. i think there should be a light version available to make things handy on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great plugin support for non-developer use"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

It has great support for plugins to make it easier to use for those that are not in a development role. It also has a great support community available online. We are able to use the plugins to support internal customers and allow them to extract the data they need without interacting with the database directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Some of the features that are added via plugins seem like sorts of things that should be universally available from Microsoft (universal search, export to Excel/csv, etc.). Being able to export query results directly to Excel in a refreshable worksheet is a great benefit that I would like to see in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Microsoft SQL Database"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

It is fast and reliable. The best query language out there. Using Entity Framework with SQL Server just makes your life so much easier. It can also run on Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

The price tag is quite a bit high. The version compatibility can be a pain some times. It is a bit resource hungry when you compare to systems like MySQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A versatile, mid-weight SQL platform with Enterprise functionality"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

My favorite has to be the integration with R and Python in the Enterprise version of the 2016 release. This lends the platform ability to do data crunching with the help of R and Numpy without having to leave the SQL platform. It opens up a whole new world from a developer's point of view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

It doesn't scale well. If you are looking for high transaction volumes and large amount of data, you might be better off with Oracle. The platform usually has trouble handling data bases that are over 200 GB. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MS SQL is a must database"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Microsoft SQL is a tool which allows anyone to get started with. It is very easy to pick and no rigorous training is required. The ability of the tool to show the syntax error is a very useful feature that allowed programmer to find out the error in the code easily. It has a simple and sophisticated user interface. At the same time, it can also execute large chunks of data in very less time. Moreover, it is easy to get an explain plan as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

The cost is pretty expensive. While running the query, it saves the data in cache or temporary table. To erase the data we need to close the application and restart it, which is also not very great while performing the alter session. The name of instance on each session is not very good. What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

I hate the 15 different licensing structures so I have to figure out how each business I do IT for is licensed and if I have to purchase more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
