Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:
The only reason I use MSSQL databases is for applications that require it (such as SharePoint). In all other instances, I prefer to use MySQL, MariaDB, or some other Linux based SQL database, which also run on Windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?
SQL database storage. Most of my MSSQL databases are on MSSQL Server Express (the free version), and are consequently under 4 GB. I only have once instance of the full version of MSSQL.
