What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

I enjoy using Microsoft SQL Server because it's very well documented and supported, and the software is used by a large number of people so there is a big support community. When I have a question about how to do something it's easy to find information either in the documentation or online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

I really don't like that I can't use it with my Mac. I have a Windows machine and a Mac at work and I have to do all of my SQL Server stuff on the Windows machine. It would be nice if it were supported on Macs as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:

If you need a professional SQL database and have the funds to purchase MS SQL and the majority of your users are using Windows machines, I recommend this product. If you use mostly Macs and/or Linux or need cross platform compatibility it may not be for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?

All of our descriptive analytics is currently done with SQL Server. We store all of our data on databases and manipulate it using MS SQL Server Management Studio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
