It is very good RDBMS database

MS SQL database is easy to use and can be installed at a laptop. It provides a real RDBMS and ACID transaction management.

The GUI was at a time when good things were without graphics.

It is not lightweight and you don't have many choices without the GUI. I mean with shell programming, not so flexible.

it is very user friendly and too easy to understand conepts of SQL DB. a beginner can easily operate on this and can write and execute queries. even you dont know the syntax, you can easily build queries with it's user friendly options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The main disadvantage of microsoft SQL is it's cross platform compatability. The feature of windows microsoft SQL differs from LINUX and it uses more memory and CPU. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
