"It just works"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

You can protype and test a complete system using SQL Express (free) and Visual Studio Code (free) and when you are ready, just upload your tables to SQL Server and go. It's awesome. I've been a user of SQL for years, and they simply keep improving the product with each release. I've yet to come across something it wouldn't handle - and handle well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

It DOES require some serious horsepower. The more memory and CPU's you throw at it, the better the performance. I wish it did a little better job at lower memory/CPU's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the mostly widely used DB. It has stood with us for various application for which we are using it as our DB especially for the web application . Easy to mange and implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Nothing on the functionality but it will be better if the licensing is made easy because sometime it can get overwhelming form the cost and licensing side Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great product. Pretty initiative but needs more instructions for more complex task like CTEs."
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

The least problematic database host I have ever used. It can hold very large databases and is relatively fast, especially compared to oracle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

There is no way to back out of actions. There should definitely be a cache and an option to revert changes. Also, there should be more instructions on complex queries such as CTEs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MS SQL Review"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

restore data, create login and backup, assign permissions, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

You can't switch a DB to multi_user w/o kicking everyone out. I understand that when I put the DB into restricted mode that everyone has to come out and then it'll let the DBOs back in... but what I don't understand is that when I got to put it back to multi_user, why everyone has to get kicked out again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
