one thing I dislike about Microsoft SharePoint is that can feel confusing at first. SharePoint is a great platform to host a great number of documents. It's basically a hosted file manager, with a few extras. Especially in combination with OneDrive to sync it with your local workspace. I just upload my files in the folders/structure of my choosing, get everything synched (OneDrive). if I need a file (e.g., from other teams), I can go to SharePoint and search for the full repository.
