**What do you like best about Magnetic?**

What I like most about Magnetic is how it connects the full workflow in one place. It’s not just a CRM for managing deals,  it links pipeline, project delivery, and team capacity seamlessly. That makes it much easier to plan realistically and avoid overpromising work the team can’t deliver.

**What do you dislike about Magnetic?**

The platform can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially because it has so many features across CRM, project management, and resource planning. There’s definitely a learning curve, and it can take some time for new users to fully understand how everything connects.

**What problems is Magnetic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, the biggest benefit is having a clear, real-time view of projects, team workload, and budgets in one place. It improves efficiency, reduces back-and-forth between teams, and makes it much easier to manage both client expectations and internal delivery.

**What do you like best about Magnetic?**

Magnetic is easy to understand from day one. It’s simple to use and puts all the features you want in a project management software system right at your fingertips. Navigating between pages and finding your data is quick and uncomplicated, and everything is saved in a clear, concise way.

**What do you dislike about Magnetic?**

There isn’t really anything I dislike. Sure, a few glitches pop up from time to time, but I suppose that’s normal.

**What problems is Magnetic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved our scheduling headaches and made it much easier to find briefs. It also helped our studio with time tracking, which is now simpler than it was before. I can easily find the timesheet reports and pull reports specific to what I need, which is also very useful.

I use Magnetic to track my time on various jobs at my social-first digital agency. Magnetic helps me accurately track time across various clients and multiple projects, which helps me manage my available time throughout the day and week, ensuring I'm not overburning or underspending hours for specific clients. I really enjoy using the start-stop timer for accurately tracking jobs and being able to split my tasks into granular jobs. The stopwatch feature provides precision over assumption or guessing in task tracking. I'm really happy with all the features I use. The initial setup was really easy, and the online support helped with any bugs.

Nothing overtly just learning the system takes time, not unlike any other time project system.

**What do you like best about Magnetic?**

I like Magnetic because there are multiple different ways to view tasks, and you can modify it to look the way you want. It offers a 'calendar' view and allows me to focus on tasks assigned to me easily. The ability to filter on completed tasks, tasks due soon, or expired tasks is super handy. I can also check on tasks assigned to others, and it keeps track of all previous tasks, making it our source of truth for task information. I appreciate how it helps in keeping track of and assigning tasks while capturing essential details.

**What do you dislike about Magnetic?**

Initially, it took some time and effort to get used to Magnetic's setup. Like I said, there are multiple ways to view your tasks and it took some getting used to the app and a lot of playing around with it to realize how everything works and how to make the most of it. Magnetic sends a lot of emails. Every time a task is updated, for example, I receive an email. Where it could be useful on the one hand, it happens too often and floods me with emails. I haven't researched whether there is a way to change it so I only receive valuable emails, but the intensity can definitely be lowered with the email sends.

I use Magnetic to track and assign tasks in the business. It's our source of truth, showing task details, assignees, and blockers. It offers customizable views like calendars and filters, enhancing task management and transparency.

I really like that Magnetic captures all the information in a central place, which is super beneficial. It provides a way to keep track of things by offering backward referrals. It also helps me control time and resources on specific jobs, which is a big plus. Additionally, the job reporting feature is particularly useful.

**What do you dislike about Magnetic?**

I find that connecting and better integration could be improved, especially regarding editability. The web interface is great and does what it needs to do, but sometimes when I have a couple of tabs open and there's a job in progress, it drops a thing or loses something, requiring me to go back to it and do a lot of relinking. This mostly pertains to briefs. Really, everything else seems fine.

I use Magnetic in my company to submit briefs to our studio and assign tasks for campaign execution. Magnetic streamlines our internal process and ensures we are able to track campaign tasks efficiently. I like that unique job numbers make it easier to follow up on specific jobs and tasks while checking their progress. Anyone in the team can now type the job number into Magnetic and find out about its progress. The whole department uses it for all processes now, not just the studio.

It was tricky to understand at first, but once we became familiar it was quite simple.

I like that Magnetic is a very robust system across the different aspects that advertising agencies require. I value the cost creation and approvals process because it makes operations seamless and helps reduce mistakes.

We don't fully use the platform for reconciliations of projects and costs, which could benefit us. Time tracking integration into our Google systems could help as manually accepting or time tracking is challenging. The initial setup was fairly challenging, and the team took time onboarding properly.

What I like about Magnetic is that each job has its own job number, which makes it easy to track a job by searching for that number. Magnetic also helps me to see how is the capacity of the people I would like to brief.

Magnetic is the best system I have ever used. I do not have any dislike about it. I am actually happy to be using Magnetic.

**What problems is Magnetic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Magnetic helps me track the progress of jobs in the system because I can see when someone is working on a particular job. For example, when a Designer starts working on a job, I can see the status of the job  is "in progress."

**What do you like best about Magnetic?**

Like that there multiple ways to track time and work, you are not confined to one way of doing things. For me the best screen is the timesheet screen, I can have full view of my week and my task, as well as what I can tracked.

**What do you dislike about Magnetic?**

Two things. One on MacOS I never seem to get notification right way, they only sound when I reload the site. I never had this issue with Windows. Two the job overview page (I think thats what its called) can be confusing. Just too much information one page, somethings it hard to find the right comments.

On the timesheet page you have added the ability to forecast how hours a day each task should be worked on. Which help with planning how work will go for the week and which deadlines to prioritise.

**What do you like best about Magnetic?**

It's great at managing tasks, particularly when it comes to handling recurring ones. Magnetic also offers strong reporting options and allows you to see client profitability at a glance. While we didn't make use of the finance features, the option to issue CEs and invoices directly from Magnetic is a valuable addition.  

The customer support is always excellent and the team at Magnetic have always worked on building relationships with us. - Especially Theo who I have worked with for over 10 years.

**What do you dislike about Magnetic?**

Getting the team to adopt this tool has proven to be difficult. Additionally, allowing team members to enter their own hours directly into the timesheet creates opportunities for misuse. It would be helpful to have an option to disable this feature for certain team members, which would help prevent any 'retrospective time management.'

This software enables us to efficiently manage jobs for our diverse range of clients.

The interface is difficult to navigate at first. It takes a while to get used to the platform and often extensive training is needed to fully grasp the platforms full capabilities

**What problems is Magnetic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On magnetic, we are able to track a job fully from financing, project management, tasking and briefing teams adequately. This helps us work on one platform throughout many different departments; instead of using multiple different platforms for different departments

Having to type out most of a resource description when adding lines on a CE.  When writing a brief using a template, there is a block that sits on the middle of the screen and there is not way to move it, this is really annoying

**What problems is Magnetic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When tasking, the description now comes up when you type in the first few letters or number.  Previously you would need to type this over again for each task per job.

We use Magnetic at Banter Digital to manage job-bag creation, cost estimates, project tracking and invoicing, all in one unified system. What I love most: you don’t need 4 to 5 different tools to manage CRM, billing, project timelines, resource scheduling, finance and reporting. Magnetic simply brings everything under one roof, which keeps things clean, organised and visible across the entire team. 

Since adopting it, our internal admin load has dropped significantly. Tasks and budgets flow through one central system, meaning fewer mix-ups, less time chasing updates, and greater clarity on profitability per project. It helps us stay efficient, client-ready and financially grounded.

If you run an agency or project-based business and want a tool that works as hard as you do, without adding chaos. Magnetic is truly worth it. Highly recommended.

The downside is that I can't run statements for clients; I have to export CSV files, import into other software to run statements.

While Magnetic provides strong invoicing, billing, expense tracking and profit reporting — it's not a full-blown full-accounting package (i.e. general ledger, tax filings, payroll, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, etc.). For those more advanced accounting needs, you’d want to use an external accounting tool (like Xero) integrated with Magnetic. The integration support strongly suggests this route.

It is full end-to-end.
Very little need for any additional software to be used to manage agency operations. That being said, integration with OneDrive would be hugely beneficial as then files could be uploaded via Magnetic but stored in relevant Project OneDrive location.

There is potentially inherited functions/features which are no longer required that create bloat on the software. What is seen by a benefit to some is that there are many ways of doing something,. but at the same time, this could be a negative as well, unless there is a central person within the business that constantly drives a consistent way of using the platform.

Everything seems  to have extra steps to get to the final product. 
Adding PO's - you cannot just select a line item  - you have to delete all the  rest to get to your individual line item.
No ease way to see the amount left over on CE once PO's are done for each line item.

I really like how Magnetic allows you to both create tasks and then schedule them in to the owner in once place. This means that the user doesn't have to open 3 apps to understand what they need to do. 
I also like how Magnetic breaks down the 'how much billable to client' versus 'billable to company' time. It is something I have not thought of before. It is really eye-opening how much time is spent on things that can't help push the projects forward.

Magnetic is not user friendly unless the user has had training on how to use it. However, once you have had the training (that Magnetic strongly suggests), it is a breeze to use and rather fun.

Magnetic is making it easier for me to ensure that the users are doing the tasks they are meant to and not going off and doing their own thing. It also helps to see what  billable to company tasks the user is spending their time on. Empowers creative and client service so they can take ownership of tasks. A smooth workflow becomes a shared responsibility. This leads to fewer meetings and more time to focus on the job at hand.

**What do you dislike about Magnetic?**

Occasional troubleshooting but the Magnetic team provide good support.

**What problems is Magnetic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool offers an easy way to keep everyone updated on the status of a task and what needs to happen next, which helps minimize the need for micromanagement.
