I find the CMS provided by the Intershop Commerce Platform is not easy for the end user to manage content, it has a lot of functionality but is very different to the CMS of a shopify for example. This necessitates the integration with a third-party CMS to achieve the desired experience. Additionally, the initial setup was complex because it required customization to deliver the needed experience and incorporate some features from our previous platform. De Nieuwe Zaak (DNZ) is an experienced -sice 2005- e-commerce agency and has been implementing Intershop for many years already. We love the B2B fit-for-use of Intershop. Lots of functionalities, accessible via API's for PWA use. We created an accelerator pack including a modern React-based PWA, integration options, selenium tested and more. This gives the project a short time to market.

Intershop is still a bit of a dark horse. Perhaps not as sexy as some MACH alternatives, but a lot easier to start with, a lower TCO and to be able to start a bit monolithic. And make it composable step by step. That really is possible.
