I see too many people committing to the master branch partial edits and unfinished ideas instead of branching and committing to a temporary branch to make their mind and then merge to the master but at the same time, I love it since it keeps me employed in charge of code quality. GIT is amazing, you can work locally and even without internet can keep working so you just need a hard drive for it to work and can commit it later, it handles conflicts with code really graciously as long as you know what to look for it can be easily resolved in seconds or at worst minutes unless someone did a really bad job or more than 2 people worked at the same file. I love that Git is completely embedded within the terminal. It makes pulling a and managing a repository alot easier without having to go to github, and download it as a whole then bring it over. My favorite thing about it is how easy it make production and deployment of updates. It also keeps track of version control so you can roll back to a previous update when needed.
