The order entering is also easy. I like that Office Mate sends our VSP claims for us! **What do you dislike about Eyefinity OfficeMate?** There are many things I do not like about OfficeMate. Mainly, the reports are very difficult to pull, they take a long time to load and they are not as customizable as I would prefer. The fee slipping can also be cumbersome. The system is very old looking, almost archaic. I wish we could also delete or merge patient accounts. Anytime we have a duplicate, we have to change the demographic info to "test". **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** Honestly, not a ton. I guess the integration with SolutionReach is helpful for scheduling. ### 2. The system has been around for a while so after using it for years I am able to navigate it pretty smoothly. **What do you dislike about Eyefinity OfficeMate?** They have removed the phone number for contacting support which makes it difficult in moments of crisis. Since it is an older program it seems all methods of support and collaboration with other systems are focused on their newer software. **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** There is little change with Officemate throughout the year other than random bug fixes. Would like to see some upgrading and improvement specifically regarding linking with other programs but it is rare. ### 4. Also, really hate the right click vs left click in examwriter when templating. Let’s also please only check the box if that’s the one I want to open, not uncheck the box~very confusing when training new technicians. **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have tried several other EHR programs, this may not be the most user friendly, BUT we do enjoy that we can do go back and do additional notation after the patient has left & checked out. ### 5. Sometimes it is a easy fix but sometimes not that easy. We might have to call someone from our team to get it fixed that helps us when the internet or things like that don't work. It can definitely be a inconvenience. **Recommendations to others considering Eyefinity OfficeMate:** Yes, I would definitely recommend. **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having patient information. Address, phone number, date of birth, SSN, email address, and things like that so it was extremely helpful for our office. Having patient information such as, addresses. birth date, ssn, email address and insurance information. This has been a great help to our comapny. thank you for your help. ### 6. Occasionally there will be glitches and another update will fix that glitch. Customer service is extremely helpful after you get past the first tier. **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** OM keeps up with everything we need in order to have instant access to our patients insurance, family or prescription information at the touch of a button. ### 7. From permanent workarounds for objects in the software that don't work as intended to entirely different behaviors for similar functions in different parts of the software Eyefinity/Officemate is unable to deliver a solid experience. **Recommendations to others considering Eyefinity OfficeMate:** Make sure computers more than meet requirements and allocate plenty of time and resources to setting-up the software. **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** Billing is more streamline. ### 8. It makes it easy to schedule appointments, print receipts, put orders in, and even bill insurance. VSP is integrated into it so billing that is a breeze!!! Also, we use Weave and that is integrated into Officemate as well. The reports that Officemate offers are great for recalls and other business related reports that you might need. **What do you dislike about Eyefinity OfficeMate?** They make it difficult to do some transactions and do VSP insurance at times. Sometimes when you go to bill a VSP claim (especially for materials), the claim does not go through the first time which means you have to go through the hassle and extra time to get a new authorization to bill it yet again. It seems that this is an Officemate glitch as we have called about this issue before and it is something on their end. They document it though and seem to continue to improve their software. **Recommendations to others considering Eyefinity OfficeMate:** It will save you so much time and money by using this software. It makes the transition into Electronic Medical Records so easy and all the information that you need is right there at your fingertips. You have to make sure though that you are using the software to its full potential otherwise you will think you have wasted your money. Officemate offers a lot and if you don't use everything, then you are seriously missing out on such a great product!!! **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves having to keep everything on paper. It saves us time with the Scheduler as far as booking appointments and allows us to easily process glasses and contact lens orders. ### 10.
