The order entering is also easy. I like that Office Mate sends our VSP claims for us! **What do you dislike about Eyefinity OfficeMate?** There are many things I do not like about OfficeMate. Mainly, the reports are very difficult to pull, they take a long time to load and they are not as customizable as I would prefer. The fee slipping can also be cumbersome. The system is very old looking, almost archaic. I wish we could also delete or merge patient accounts. Anytime we have a duplicate, we have to change the demographic info to "test". **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** Honestly, not a ton. Also, really hate the right click vs left click in examwriter when templating. Let’s also please only check the box if that’s the one I want to open, not uncheck the box~very confusing when training new technicians. **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have tried several other EHR programs, this may not be the most user friendly, BUT we do enjoy that we can do go back and do additional notation after the patient has left & checked out. ### 5. Sometimes it is a easy fix but sometimes not that easy. We might have to call someone from our team to get it fixed that helps us when the internet or things like that don't work. Address, phone number, date of birth, SSN, email address, and things like that so it was extremely helpful for our office. Having patient information such as, addresses. birth date, ssn, email address and insurance information. This has been a great help to our comapny. thank you for your help. ### 6. Occasionally there will be glitches and another update will fix that glitch. It makes it easy to schedule appointments, print receipts, put orders in, and even bill insurance. VSP is integrated into it so billing that is a breeze!!! Also, we use Weave and that is integrated into Officemate as well. The reports that Officemate offers are great for recalls and other business related reports that you might need. **What do you dislike about Eyefinity OfficeMate?** They make it difficult to do some transactions and do VSP insurance at times. Sometimes when you go to bill a VSP claim (especially for materials), the claim does not go through the first time which means you have to go through the hassle and extra time to get a new authorization to bill it yet again. It seems that this is an Officemate glitch as we have called about this issue before and it is something on their end. They document it though and seem to continue to improve their software. **Recommendations to others considering Eyefinity OfficeMate:** It will save you so much time and money by using this software. It makes the transition into Electronic Medical Records so easy and all the information that you need is right there at your fingertips. You have to make sure though that you are using the software to its full potential otherwise you will think you have wasted your money. Officemate offers a lot and if you don't use everything, then you are seriously missing out on such a great product!!! **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves having to keep everything on paper. It saves us time with the Scheduler as far as booking appointments and allows us to easily process glasses and contact lens orders. ### 10. This program makes customization of a patient's health records better than ever before, as well as insuring that the chart is meeting all the insurance requirements. Because we use this chart in the Optometrist's Office I work for, I love the new feature where you can click exactly the part of the eye you're describing, whether you're documenting a hemorrhage, freckle, cataract, etc. This software is amazing! **What do you dislike about Eyefinity OfficeMate?** Although we're used to it now, it takes a LONG time to get in the swing of operating this program. The other staff in the office hated it for a long time, and charts were taking three times the amount of time they typically were. Expect to schedule LIGHT for several weeks while getting the hang of this new system. **Recommendations to others considering Eyefinity OfficeMate:** Plan to schedule lightly for several weeks while your staff gets used to a new charting system. If we had continued with a full schedule, it would have been a DISASTER, since this takes a while to get used to. **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** Old charting systems typically rely on only checkboxes to describe what you're seeing in a patient. However, patients don't always fall within a checkbox. Eyefinity OfficeMate makes it much easier to document cleaner, meet insurance and government standards, and provide a thorough examination of your patient while they are in the office. I think it's more complicated than it needs to be. **Recommendations to others considering Eyefinity OfficeMate:** I think OfficeMate is worth trying if your staff does well with computers, if you are looking to get things done in a faster manner, and if you want a system that you can customize easily. It's not the cheapest EHR system available, but it is reliable and I have not had any major issues. I had to learn the system very quickly and it wasn't a hard at all. I can do everything from one place, from checking patients in for appointments and scheduling them, to pulling through charges and placing eyeglass/contact lens orders. I feel like the system's code is very fragile and even one incorrect key sequence can cause a shutdown. It doesn't take long to figure out how things work and the setup is done in a practical way. I came into the office not knowing a thing about the software and in only a few days I was "rockin' and rollin'". **What do you dislike about Eyefinity OfficeMate?** While MOST things are easy with this product, like everything else there are a few bugs. Thankfully the ones I came across were not associated with things I had to do too often. For example, there were a few issues with the ease of being able to fix a person's fee sheet when refunds were needed. **What problems is Eyefinity OfficeMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** OfficeMate has helped everything in the office to run more smoothly by being something the staff all learned to work with together.
