We use it with every one of our managed clients to ensure that their Microsoft and Google Workspace estates are backed up and can be restored with the click of a few buttons. **What do you dislike about Dropsuite?** I really like the Dropsuite product, it integrates with MS and Google really well. What I think it misses is other options for backup. There are other solutions on the market that offer backups for things like Xero - and other cloud based SaaS apps - and I think that Dropsuite adding backup capability to other apps would be a good logical step. **What problems is Dropsuite solving and how is that benefiting you?** It enables multiple email and sharepoint backups for all of our managed clients. meaning that if they delete an email by mistake - we can restore it quick. Restores of recent data are quick and the retention period is amazing. We use Dropsuite across all 365 tenants and appreciate how easy it is to deploy and maintain. When we've had to contact support via our CSP and Dropsuite, they've been useful and provided detailed scripts and information to resolve typical errors. **What do you dislike about Dropsuite?** The UI when completing a restore is very clunky. There are restrictive folder limits when looking for SharePoint sites, and the emails don't always structure themselves in folders as you'd anticipate. Restoring older data is very very slow but it still works great. The Autotask integration duplicates licences on contracts, and needs some work, but it's still a newer feature. **What problems is Dropsuite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Microsoft 365 backups cannot be trusted, and are not reliable or straightforward to use. It's important for every tenant to be backed up externally. DropSuite is easy to setup and automatically backs up everything in the M365 environment. It's easy to restore items as well. You can even restore items as they were at a point in time. **What do you dislike about Dropsuite?** One downside is that there doesn't seem to be a good way to view all Planner plans in the tenant, or restore Planner plans. They're backed up alright, but as individual tasks and I have not yet found a way to restore the Plan as a whole. **What problems is Dropsuite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Microsoft guarantees the uptime of the M365 system, but they don't guarantee data retention, so it's important to have an external backup on it. DropSuite is easy to implement on a tenant, it automatically backs up everything in the environment, and new users can be added very easily. Restoring files is simple too. One nice thing is being able to restore a file at a point in time. One customer called me one day and said they've been doing things wrong in this document for two weeks and they wanted the document as it was two weeks ago. No problem! ### 30. Anything can fail in this world including vendors that we rely on like our email providers. I trust both Google and Microsoft with with my data and that of my customers. However, it's my job to have customers protected from large scale vendor failure, malicious employess and end user mistakes. It takes just a few minutes to set up and then you know you are protected. Once it's set up it just keeps running in the background all of the time. Once dropsuite is in place you can relax and sleep well every night. **What do you dislike about Dropsuite?** The process and support are both very good. It checked every box on our evaluation matrix which wasn't true of any of the other solutions we evaluated. It is easy to implement, and well-documented. Key decision factor was how it eased auditing processes and billing conversations with clients, via including non-licensed accounts at no fee (up to a fairly generous quota per client) and allowing us to enable auto-backup of newly provisioned accounts. Not sure if this is a google issue or a dropsuite issue, if an account in google is suspended, you must reactive that account then move it into dropsuite, then suspend the account again in google. 5. From setup to the day-to-day use the product is intuative and has a clean interface. The support team are very responsive and knowledgable when needed. The search function is very comprehensive and the fact users can restore (If granted permission) from their backup removes some of the support overhead. Other things I liked: Not just a single restore point per day. Only backing up mailboxes if mail has been journalled. Shared mailboxes are included. AD synch for both adding users and SSO logon. Granular account permissions. **What do you dislike about Dropsuite?** The add-in for Outlook is very limited and the folder view is a little clunkier than the previous product we used, but the search more than makes up for this. **What problems is Dropsuite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Dropsuite has replaced two previous products with one and reduced the number of pyhsical servers we require. File, email, and whole mailbox restores are very easy to initiate, are relatively quick, and granular enough that I can recover the 1 thing I need rather than whole repositories. **What do you dislike about Dropsuite?** I hate having to reauthorize M365 access frequently. The 2 week reauthorization requirement is based on my own security policies at Microsoft and I could reduce the frequency, but we aren't comfortable with the ancillary effects of doing so. It took time to scan and get e-mail copied over to DropSuite, but I can't express how easy this was to set up. From a 15 year IT veteran, transitioning from one product to another, or in this case, adding something new to our environment is generally riddled with difficulties, but the expert team at DropSuite helped us make this an effortless process. Additionally, once up and running, it wasn't a week before we had to do a restore to an entire SharePoint file repository that had been errantly deleted. DropSuite made the restore as simple as a few clicks. In the course of the 2 years we have had this tool in place, it has made our life much easier as administrators and we have been able to resolve issues in a fraction of the time it took before we invested in DropSuite. **What do you dislike about Dropsuite?** In 2 years we have had a couple of issues that were resolved very quickly by customer service, due to upgrades to the interface that we weren't quite aware of. This lack of communication and knowledge beforehand of the upgrades caused some minor confusion with restore methods and options that were available, but again, Customer service and support were very fast to respond to our need. If I could offer any feedback it would be to communicate better with end users before a change is made. **Recommendations to others considering Dropsuite:** Do your due diligence and compare to others in the industry. I think you will find that Dropsuite is the most bang for your buck you can get by a long shot! **What problems is Dropsuite solving and how is that benefiting you?** When we transitioned to O365, there was a misconception regarding the nature of true e-mail archival. I have experience working with true e-mail archival solutions, specifically regarding e-mail journaling, so I set out to find the quickest solution available while keeping in the parameters of our IT budget. I set up demos and pulled together requirements quickly and worked with about 4 vendors. DropSuite was the easiest to demo, roll out and transition to while staying within budget by a long shot. Post transition, our help desk turnaround time for e-mail retrieval and long term archival tickets was cut to a fraction of the time. DropSuite is one less solution to have to worry about for us.
