  ### 7. Great way to communicate for work purposes.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Racheal W. | Precertification Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

That it is simple to use; literally anybody can learn to use this, can create a PDF of the conversation, and it shows you when messages were read. It is pretty much like text messaging. So if you can text you can use this.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Sometimes there is a lag, and when you read a message but it is the only message there, it will just keep looking like you haven't read the message (you either have to delete it or wait until somebody else messages so you can click on the new message and then the notification goes away) I hope that made sense.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It can be difficult to wait for people to respond via email because they may get soo many, but with this, communication is easy with my co-workers, management and doctors. A one stop shop.

  ### 8. Easily used and integrated

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Celina G. | Administrative Information Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

It was very easy to setup and it was very easy for users to understand how to use it.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

It would be nice for separate institutions that purchase licenses to make one group in order for easier collaboration.

**Recommendations to others considering symplr Clinical Communications:**

Very easy to use and setup. Users are able to understand and retrieve messages without issue.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providers are able to easily text one another back and forth when it comes to emergency medical treatment without fear of violating HIPAA

  ### 9. Easy HIPAA Approved Messaging

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

I like being able to message and still be in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Sometimes I wish you could screenshot, but I understand why you can't. I also wish you had the ability to search when using the web-based version. Another thing I would like is if you had the ability to turn off responses without having to set up a group in your contacts.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the issue of always having to make or take phone calls. Messaging makes it easier and you can also review the information later.

  ### 10. symplr Clinical Commounications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamara L. | Administrative Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

There are many things. First off, you can immediately confirm who has read your messages and exactly when they read them.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

The only thing that I don't like is that the messages drop off of the system and you cannot simply hide or store them.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can send confidential messages with PHI, etc to multiple people, those people can comment or not, the messages can still be sent to others. Again, no one can state that they did not get the message. There is always positive proof right down to date and time.

**Official Response from Tara Wieber:**

> Hi Tamara! Thanks so much for taking the time to review our Clinical Communications solution. We're so happy to hear you're enjoying the product and the ability to send confidential messages and know they've been read and received. In regards to the messaging drop-offs, we'll be sure to provide that feedback to the product team.

  ### 11. Symplr clinical communications is the comprehensive platform to serve our clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** America C. | Senior Director Marketing Strategy, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2022

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

What I like most about this software, is that it allows you to route incoming calls, assigning them to where they correspond with the appropriate agent. It also contains a chat between employees, which allows us to maintain communications and the sending and sharing of files. The platform allows us to be able to make shift changes and scheduling of guards, with ease and best of all is that it is cloud-based, so all the information is outside of the computers.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

The system has some small flaws that will surely improve with new updates, such as the quality of calls when the connection is not very stable, so the recording also loses quality. The access by roles, although it is a very secure system, is also cumbersome, which slows down our daily work. Finally, alerts and notifications sometimes do not reach us in real time, when the connection is not so stable.

**Recommendations to others considering symplr Clinical Communications:**

Thanks to this software, our customers feel much better served, since we can solve their demands in less time, through the various communication channels. The customer service team also feels that the work is done in a more organized and efficient way, increasing productivity, performance and the number of customers served daily.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a very simple tool to use, to install and to implement. Its efficient multichannel communication allows us to be always in communication with our clients through live chat, calls, video calls, emails and more. It also allows you to save calls, messages and texts received, to have a complete history of customers with the company.

**Official Response from Tara Wieber:**

> America, we are always delighted to hear that our customers are enjoying Clinical Communications. Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

  ### 21. An innovative and dynamic product in a everchanging environment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William S. | Clinical Informatics Training Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Halo Health not only has a fantastic product to connect health teams with real-time communication channels; Halo Health also has dynamic and responsive support staff. It is a pleasure to work closely with such an expansive and adaptive product within the health infostructure world. At the same time, it is making an easy-to-use interface for frontline staff that allows them to better focus on the care of the patient and not the use of technology.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

I wish that there was a little more customization that could be done on the administrative side, as well as easy-to-use quick-click buttons to send a message. For instance, in some common typed messages, there could be buttons on a quick message screen to auto-fill a message.

**Recommendations to others considering symplr Clinical Communications:**

Halo Health is one of the best companies that I have worked with. They are responsive to needs, helpful for troubleshooting, and accepting of input to improve the product for the teams.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to connect over 8,000 different team members with a click of a button. Recently, our objective has been to reduce the waste of typing and automate for increased efficiencies of messages to the critical team. Halo Health makes this possible. With the connectivity to Epic, it allows us to make an order in Epic and have a Halo message sent to the proper team, freeing up the hands of the unit clerk to complete other patient pertinent tasks.

  ### 22. Great Secure Messaging

**Recommendations to others considering symplr Clinical Communications:**

Provides excellent secure messaging that is HIPAA compliant.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Secure messaging between doctors and support staff.

**Official Response from Tara Wieber:**

  ### 24. Clear and effective communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

It is easy to find who is on call and effectively notify and collaborate with other healthcare workers on my team in order to provide my patients with the best care possible quickly

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Not everyone at my facility has halo, so we have to get ahold of them the old way which still works, but is not as easy or as quick as using halo.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many doctors schedules change day to day as doctors cover and switch with other doctors, it's solves the problem of calling the wrong doctor on the print out schedule we have that isn't updated instantly like halo is. Doctors are also able to direct their messages to go to whoever is covering for them, so you're always able to get ahold of whoever you need for help.

  ### 29. Good Confidential Texting App

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abigail B. | Resident Doctor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Halo is a very intuitive app that handles just like a normal text messaging app. It is secured so you can discuss HIPAA-protected information with your team at a distance. It deletes your conversations after a set period of time, and so it doesn't clog up your phone with data. I also like that there is the option for it to say "Halo secured message" when you get a notification so that your patients don't think that you are receiving text messages or that your phone is inappropriately on at work. Also, I like that you can use it on your phone or on your desktop.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

My version of the app on my iPhone SE2 sometimes glitches and won't let me write more that 5-6 lines without hiding the bottom lines. When this happens the coloring of the app also changes, and sometimes the newest messages aren't shown even though I received a notification for a message. In a similar way, sometimes people who have unreliable phones also have more unreliable Halo connections as well, and so they might not actually get a Halo that you send in a timely fashion. However, these people are usually more rare, and let you know if Halo is not a reliable way to contact them. Also, other people have to have Halo to be able to be messaged, and so it is limited by the user base in your hospital, and it doesn't show if a user is active on Halo, so you don't know if they made an account and never check it, or if they have it downloaded on their phone.

**Recommendations to others considering symplr Clinical Communications:**

Update it as soon as updates become available, and ask other people you work with if they use Halo. If you send a message to a new/unknown person, don't assume it was received without a response.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Texting about patients on a regular texting app would be a violation of HIPPA, so this allows teams to talk.

  ### 30. Great App for HIPAA complaint communication

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not always easy to know who is on call. Using Halo, it's possible to message a general line such as "Adult Nephrology On Call"

Great to network with others in the same industry.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Needs more organization so that people can reach out easier

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting advice about issues I am having and realizing it is easy to reach out to others

  ### 32. Great health profession secure messenger

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitchell L. | pharmacist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Easily and directly communicate with healthcare professionals. I am able to easily send a messenge to providers with an extension where they can reach me. In my experience, it allows better communication overall. Issues with patients medications are more easily solved. I utilize this healthcare tool mostly for our meds-to-beds program. Issues with prescriptions are more easily solved when clarification is needed. I have never had any real issues with the messeging app. Wifi compatability is typically direct and instantaneous. I have never had issues with the app crashing or freezing. It is very reliable and I receive messages/replies very fast.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

I wish there were an easier way to remove unread messages. Occasionally it is hard to tell if a use is working or not working. At times I come back to work, login to my account and I will have multiple unread messages. I am not sure if there is a way to make automated messages when i am off or on vacation but that may be useful if the function doesn't exist. It is hard to find dislikes about this messenging service as it works very well.

**Recommendations to others considering symplr Clinical Communications:**

A great tool to add the healthcare professional arsenal, especially with large institutions.Doc halo allows for quick communication between departments and faster patient care.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits include direct provider/healthcare professional communication. There is little need to try to find the provider in the hospital or trying to find extensions. This communication leads to faster patient care. We were told by our institution that messenges do not qualify as direct orders from providers. This is being sorted out by the compliance department and the providers. The issue lies at the provider level.

  ### 33. Extreme Convenience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Accessibility. I prefer to use the web-based version because I can see it easily while doing telehealth.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

While reminders are helpful, they come very frequently. If I'm with a patient, my watch may vibrate 5 times with reminders. I appreciate the reminders, but they're very close together.

**Recommendations to others considering symplr Clinical Communications:**

If you're looking for accessible HIPAA-friendly communication, you've found it here.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication between myself and my colleagues/supervisees/students that is HIPAA compliant. It makes it much easier to communicate about a patient without being vague. It also helps keep things organized in communication. While I may be having 5 conversations with one person, they're organized by patient.

  ### 34. Okay platform, a couple of glitches

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel H. | Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

It is fairly user friendly. You can create group messages and adding people is easy to do. Notifications are timely. Can use on a computer or smart phone. Actually easier to use on a smart phone via the app than a computer.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

I dislike that you have to sign on via the computer every single time I have a message come up. I would like it to be an automatic sign on when I log into my computer in the morning. This slows down access.
This is also just nit picky, but I don't like that I can push the "enter" key to send the message and actually have to push send.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a good and secure communication tool. We frequently need to exchange information quickly on patients and I appreciate this platform, instead of email or tasking through our charting system.

**Official Response from Todd Jones:**

> Rachel, thanks for your feedback. I am happy to hear that you are seeing value in coordinating patient care. Whenever you experience glitches, please contact Support @ halohealth.com for help fixing the issue. Halo Health integrates with Imprivata's single sign on solution. Please reach out to your organization's Halo Health admin to see if it can be applied to your situation.

  ### 35. Slow system that stops responding and is not user friendly at all!

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura Beth H. | R, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Creating contact groups is helpful for better communication regarding the

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

System is slow, freezes/stops responding frequently and this very frustrating as a clinic nurse when I am trying to contact other members of our team and our surgeons/residents.

**Recommendations to others considering symplr Clinical Communications:**

Need to make messaging system function more efficiently for high traffic clinics - frustrating to be in the middle of communicating and have software constantly locking up and being non-responsive.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better communication with our residents and surgeons would be possible if the system would not keep freezing and becoming non-responsive. When the system is functioning it works very well but I have trouble with it locking up multiple times per day requiring me to sign out and sign back in to continue sending messages. Having messages save as auto-drafts would also be helpful when you are typing extensive messages to providers and system becomes unresponsive.

**Official Response from Todd Jones:**

> Laura, thanks for the feedback. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues. Whenever the app is not performing as you would expect, please contact Support @ halohealth.com so we can address the issue and improve the experience. Thanks again for this feedback.

  ### 36. Easy access to all medical team members

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Easy accessibility, I can get in contact with any medical provider or staff member easily to benefit my patient

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

I don't like that I cannot access my pictures from my phone to send to another provider. As an example, if I wanted to take a picture of a learning topic (no patient information) and save it to my photos, I cannot send that image in Halo.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing information with othe providers to better patient care

  ### 37. LPN

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

You are able to communicate with any healthcare worker. You can give patient names and also send pictures to a provider which is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

There really isn't anything I dislike about doc halo

**Recommendations to others considering symplr Clinical Communications:**

Best way to communicate and is hippa compliant

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to communicate with the Dr I work with regarding problems with patients when she is at the hospital all week. We also can communicate with our coworkers.

  ### 38. Great service for physicians and health care professionals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abraham t. | Resident Physician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Secure messaging and easy to find names of the person you are trying to contact. It ensures HIPPA compliance while still making it easy to communicate effectively with consultant services. The help centre at halo health has also been amazing, when I initially had trouble logging in with my account on my previous phone they were prompt in answering my emails and helped me resolve my problem and even followed up on it at a later time. I also really appreciate the forward feature when I'm sent information that is pertinent to other physicians as well. I enjoy using Halo and would encourage all residency programs to adopt this system. I also really like that Halo can be accessed from both my phone and laptop.

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

Inability to save the message once you start typing it when you want to look at a previous message. The inability to paste into the text box has also proven to be annoying when I need to send something that I received.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy communication in a secure manor without violating HIPPA. Improves direct communication with consults without always having to call them. A problem that it solved was allowing my nurse to send me messages about my clinic patients while I'm working at the hospital. Of course this is very beneficial in ensuring continuity of care while again maintaining patient privacy. The ability to call using Halo is also an under utilized tool. It is very beneficial once I figured out how to allow the app to have access to my phone.

  ### 39. Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren L. | Clinical Research Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2021

**What do you like best about symplr Clinical Communications?**

That I am able to see if and or when colleagues have read the messages I've sent in anticipation of a response

**What do you dislike about symplr Clinical Communications?**

It is a little bit difficult to add someone to a chat once started. Sometimes there may be someone else that needs to be added to a chat at any given time - with Halo, there were times when we would have to start a new group in order to add everyone that we needed the information relayed to. if there were some sort of process to make this easier that would be great. We also were unable to remove people from a group chat once started. Like the earlier problem, there were times when we just needed to be able to remove someone who was no longer affiliated with a project, or no longer on shift an d in order to do so we would need to start a new chat which was not always so efficient in the moment.

**Recommendations to others considering symplr Clinical Communications:**

I think If you have many groups of people you need to access this platform and want an easy way to inform everyone at one time this is a great tool.

**What problems is symplr Clinical Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

accessibility to providers - sometimes they are hard to track down in house - with halo we are able to keep everyone in the loop quickly and efficiently without having to go to the floors and try to find the providers in house. With Halo we are able to keep everyone in the know and get the information to the team, care providers, researchers etc. in a safe way for everyone involved.
