**How many team members can I add to my account?**  
As many as you want! In fact, we encourage all team members to use Customer.io for consistent messaging across all of your product and marketing sends. 

**Do you offer Professional Services?**  
We have a collection of Customer.io certified agency partners who can help with everything from writing the code for just one email to migrating your entire messaging strategy. Ask your sales representative for more information.

**How quickly can I start using my account?**  
If you sign up today, you can start integrating and adding data to Customer.io immediately. To help combat spam and fraud, we manually review each account before any outbound messages can be sent. This helps maintain our reputation and protects all of our customers.

**Where do you store customer data?**  
Our customers can choose where they would like to store their data, in a US or EU data center, during sign-up.

**Does Customer.io own the data I put into the system?**  
Nope! Your data stays your data. You’re letting us use it in order to deliver a service to you. Please read our privacy policy for more info.

**Does Customer.io charge extra for data usage or storage?**  
Not a chance. We happily store all of your data, so whenever you are looking to run advanced analysis in your BI tools, you’ll have immediate access to anything that’s ever happened in your Customer.io account. Our competitors don’t do this, or they charge a premium.

**What are my payment options?**  
For monthly subscriptions, we offer payment by credit card only. If you choose to pay annually, you have the option to be invoiced via ACH or Wire.

**How do you calculate my bill?**  
We charge you based on the maximum number of uniquely identified users (profiles) in your account. On the anniversary of your subscription, we will charge the method of payment on file in $USD. We include a million messages per month on the essentials plan, any messages above that will be charged at a nominal rate.

What do you like best about Customer.io?

I've used Customer.io for nearly three years, and it's grown from a simple email tool to the central command for our startup's growth strategy. It orchestrates all user touchpoints, like marketing sequences, transactional receipts, and behavior-triggered push notifications. Customer.io is our main engine for lifecycle management, helping us maintain a consistent voice across channels while ensuring messages are backed by real-time user data. It solved the critical problem of our fragmented data silos by connecting directly to our existing data structure, letting our marketing, product, and sales data communicate effectively. The Campaign Builder, especially the snippets and saved rows functionality, is the star for us, saving massive amounts of time on content creation. I also heavily use display conditions to customize email templates efficiently for different regional audiences, allowing for high-level personalization without extra administrative work. The platform is well-documented, the UI is intuitive, and the setup was a total breeze, particularly with the form connector enabling us to capture leads without writing complex backend code. What do you dislike about Customer.io?

If I have to be critical, the mobile and SMS side still feels like it has room to grow. While they do offer SMS, the native integrations are a bit limited compared to the email side of the house. I'd love to see them partner with a wider variety of global SMS providers to give us more flexibility in terms of regional pricing and delivery options. As we scale internationally, having more plug and play choices for mobile messaging would help us avoid having to build custom webhook solutions for every new market we enter.
