We can easily view all important information on one of the many dashboards provided by CF. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** We find the calendar feature to be extremely clunky and almost unusable. We would like there to be a 2-way sync with google calendar that we could put confidence in. Residential Homebuilding companies can make use of it too, but should bank on having an excel estimate to track selections/allowances. It has crew scheduling, good templates, time clock, estimates, integration with QBO (this is a must). The price is also really good compared to the other softwares out there **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** Their tech support is really lacking right now, but I have heard they are making a big push to hire more support staff. They have group training every day of the week you can log into, or book private training. It has helped us manage multiple locations, remote employees, daily tasks, and many more. This system has helped us to be more organized and stay on top of things; like service requests, sales goals, invoicing, and daily tasks. The ease of use has been great and saved a lot of time creating estimates and invoices for clients. In addition, the live feedback and implementation of users' ideas have taken this software to the next level. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** The system has so many features and tools that it can be overwhelming to some individuals not familiar with these types of programs. The reports module is good but could still use some improvement. Filtering the reports to get the exact information you want can be difficult sometimes. The "status" of your projects, estimates, and invoices can also affect these reports because they may not appear on them as you had intended. **What problems is Contractor Foreman solving and how is that benefiting you?** We signed up for Contractor Foreman because we have more than one location, and employees were estimating and presenting contracts differently. We needed one system that would allow us all to standardize our processes, procedures, and documents. It also enables management to oversee multiple locations without having to be physically there all the time. It has brought our company a sense of unity that was not present before. In addition, we only need Contractor Foreman as our only system. We no longer need multiple different software programs to manage our business. It can all be done through this robust software. The best part of this software is that it's a comprehensive and affordable option for all contractors. ### 5. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about Contractor Foreman?** CF is the best of the 'OK so far' category in my mind. NONE of the software available today gets close to a truly effective, user-friendly GUI and functionality set. I have used 7 different systems over the years, with the top 4 big names having the largest hours operating. Most have less functionality, others are severely overpriced and under-featured. Still others are so complicated you need an entire IT department to implement them. Contractor Foreman does much of what it does the absolute best for the money, meaning this is probably the best value for construction management software I'm aware of. I believe I can say with confidence, that if CF does it, it strives to do it well, and continues to strive to get it better. Picking a feature or two that excels is rather pointless in a company with that outlook. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** CF has a decent bidding module, but my own setup is still superior in too many ways to adopt theirs 100% just yet, but I'm close. (Most estimators using this level of software are not as demanding as I am) as I've ever been. CF is very good at uploading files, it needs to better at organizing and presenting them better and at salient points in the GUI. (It HAS gotten better recently). We also use the program for back-office. Unfortunately, we have unresolved issues with their payment system (it just does not work for us) but we are hopeful. The learning curve to integrate with Excel is rather long and complicated, but this module does an awful, lot, so we have been able to find 'workarounds' for what we need so far. The one place I would really love to see some love is the 'Invitation To Bid' functionality. This is a contractual 'step' in the bidding process and is not being treated that way, but I have hope they will see the light here as well. **What problems is Contractor Foreman solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Contractor Foreman for just about everything to do with our company. I am a trained cost estimator, and though the estimating module is likely their weakest, the one spectacular thing about this company is how hard they work to improve their product. Could they listen to their knowledgeable clients a bit more? Emphatically yes, but they seem to have muddled through the other upgrades fairly well; I'll reserve judgment until I see the upgrades. I like how I can work on an estimate and put line itemized so my clients can see what is involved with the project. Once approved, I can quickly turn it into a project and an invoice, and I can add to that invoice if other work was performed other than what was initially estimated. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** When I first purchased CF, I could not figure out the header on the estimate/invoice, so we uploaded a picture, and it works and looks much better. But I would like to make adjustments to it because of the lack of information on it, and it has been difficult to change. **What problems is Contractor Foreman solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since I first got CF, they have changed a lot of stuff, some of which I am still unfamiliar with. The features it offers is ALMOST at 100%. Also, they are constantly trying to include more features and ask for ideas. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** The layout needs work. The simplicity is not as simple as they state to be. Everything kind of blends in together, and you can easily get lost. The setup of the software IS NOT easy. There is a lot of data that you need to input manually. The user interface (UI), is not as pretty as they make it out to be. So far every update has been beneficial. I like that I can perform all the project management tasks in one website. It also helps someone else coming in behind that day's work see the progress and know what they are getting into before they arrive. The time card feature is also very helpful. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** There is an integration learning curve to working your way around the software. There are tutorial videos throughout to show you what to do but it is not intuitive. **What problems is Contractor Foreman solving and how is that benefiting you?** CF helps the sales team relay exact information to the customer and lead installer through their estimate page. They help solve the question of where are my employees during a job. The software couldn't do a better job of tracking all of our invoices, bills, subcontracts and more. **What do you dislike about Contractor Foreman?** Nothing! I have looked at a ton of options to track our jobs, and this is by far the best option for the price. **What problems is Contractor Foreman solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used to have tons of paper invoices and bills.
