I like the job cost modules, daily logs, and vendor insurance tracking of Contractor Foreman. The bidding section works, however it's a little deep in the menu, several layers into the estimate module. Some navigation adjustments would be appreciated. There is some user functionality that is not streamlined. You cannot move sections within a todo list, importing items for an invoice is messy, and the messaging app is borderline non-functioning. I love the easy to use platform. I love the amount of detail that I am able to include in our Estimates - we have won jobs because people appreciated the layout and detail we were able to provide. The cost/value is wonderful and the support is great. I have had to connect with someone on chat many times and everyone is always kind and helpful. Our clients love the client login. There are many features we don't utilize enough but I look forward to doing so in the future. They also always seem open to feedback, I highly recommend CF! We are based in Canada, where different products are taxed differently (e.g., subcontractors are GST only, while supplies are GST & PST). It would be extremely helpful to apply taxes on a line-by-line basis, as this would save a great deal of time.

We would also love to see a take-off tool added.

Additionally, it would be great to have more in-depth cost code analysis — for example, the ability to view the total cost of all items I’ve labeled as “lumber package” across invoices.
