We are a professional services firm that engaged with Cience in October of 2020 to generate client leads/appointments. They worked multiple communication channels for 13 weeks and schedule one appointment for us in January 2021. Our engagement with them ended recently and we have $0 of return on the $22,000 spent. What do you like best?

Their contract is very easy to understand and read. You just have to remember to read the and remember the Service Start Date and Renewal Date so that you don't get stuck with automatic renewal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

During the on-boarding process with Cience you will be given a fair amount of homework: you need to provide information related to your target customer and your product USP, etc. Be prepared to invest the time and energy to complete these exercises effectively in order to get the most value out of your investment. You may actually find this exercise difficult, as it forces you to think about your product, company, and value from the perspective of your targets. Our company doesn't have headcount to scale our sales operations; by using Cience we were able to instantly scale up to a full-time team with proven success in outreach. We have several different campaigns going on and they do such a great job in pulling in leads for us. If we are ever in a bind or need to change direction, they are always on the ball and ready to jump with us! Their willingness to collaborate with us, change direction on a dime, and learn about our niche target audience. We have worked with Cience for over 3 years now and I have not found anything I have disliked as of yet. They are in an opposite time zone than we are and there is always someone responsive to our needs at any given time. If you are in a different country than Cience, do not worry about that. They work around the clock and have professionals working for you in different countries and ready to help. With having a smaller team we really needed the "man power" to reach out and get more touches with our target audience. They help by researching leads, vetting them according to our criteria, and setting our appointments. They also have innovative and creative scripting and a way for grabbing our target audience's attention and elicit the curiosity for them to learn more about our company. What do you like best?

They are quick to point out any blockers or concerns and provide suggestions to solve any challenges or problems that may be encountered along the way. When we needed to increase the size of the team they were able to get the details arranged within a week and we were off to the races without skipping a beat. There are really no dislikes at this point. We have enjoyed a very collaborative working relationship. They are receptive to any changes that are needed based on the demands of our business. Cience is a good alternative to quickly scale. If you are not ready to make a huge investment in headcount and building a team, Cience is a good way to bridge a gap while you determine the best course of action for your business. We have been able to solve our follow- up problem with inbound leads. We have high traffic to our website and a large number of inbound leads. They help us stay on top of these and convert many to meetings, pipeline, and ultimately to customers. The benefit of using Cience is that you can get going quickly and if you need to scale they are right there to help you scale quickly. It would take a lot more time to source, interview, hire, train internally. I would recommend Cience to any organization needing help with inbound lead flow. Cloud Cover Music is the #1-rated streaming music service for business. It's a unique market and selling proposition to all kinds of businesses. When sourcing leads, it feels like there are more companies that we could target but the expected number of leads aren't always delivered, meaning we have to think creatively about how to open the target market aperture. Outbound sales outreach & early lead nurturing. We save significant amounts of time leveraging CIENCE and their lead sourcing as opposed to doing it in house. Due to COVID, our pipeline dropped out. We needed to generate new sales meetings quickly because we have a long sales cycle. We looked at a few different agencies and went with CIENCE and a more traditional B2B agency. CIENCE booked us 10 meetings per month over three months — which is exactly the number they said we should expect. The traditional agency booked one. We weren't sure that the quality of the meetings were good, but that's entirely in our control based on our list criteria and messaging. They do all the heavy lifting of research, outreach, follow-up, and tracking data. If you take ownership of the target accounts and messaging, you should be successful. It's fairly inexpensive for a BDR plus research. You wouldn't be able to get this high of quality through a contractor or FTE. They are extremely responsive and open to trying different things to increase results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. Oversold their ability to deliver: they promised 20-30 MQL per month, I got one. 2. Ukraine based team that had not US market knowledge- did not understand the basic differences between marketing to SMB and enterprise, and had no interest in learning 3. Sloppy overall: spelling errors in communications, ignoring feedback. 4. No interest from management to make this work- I only had the Ukraine manager contact. What do you like best?

Cience is the swiss army knife of customer engagement. They very quickly understand the goals at hand, regardless of the market or customer base. They have a toolkit of solutions to provide everything from lead generation to web site creation. The campaign statistics they provide are detailed and exceptional from a data standpoint. They can easily make corrections during a campaign without constant hand holding. During the campaign, there is sometimes a need to make changes to aspects of the outreach, messaging, etc... What do you dislike?

The only thing I can think of, and this is a very minor item, is that I wish the initial on-boarding process could be shortened by a few days. It's typically 2 weeks which is understandable given the level of detail they ask for. Recommendations to others considering the provider:

Before your initial kickoff meeting, make sure you have all your ducks in a row, e.g. campaign goals, target audience, contact lists, marketing materials if necessary, scripts for both email and phone outreach, internal team member roles and contact information, etc... It's best to have an internal meeting to flush out any other questions that may come up. This will improve the overall onboarding process and allow you to transition to the next phase easier. What problems are you solving with the provider? What benefits have you realized?

Initially, our goal was to utilize the Cience team as an extension of our Sales arm, utilizing both phone and email outreach, to introduce our company to our existing customer base. This evolved into a much more personal engagement with our customers which included detailed scripts and creation of multiple landing pages that customers could utilize to learn more information. They've always provided quality prospects that they allowed us to review ahead of time and then they had a great run rate of those prospects becoming leads for us. They've been excellent to communicate with, flexible, reliable and extremely consistent. We never had to worry about what we were paying them to do. At CTI, we have a small sales team, and they don't have time to research target companies, find contacts and then get in the door to make an appointment. So we hired CIENCE to do this for us using a systematic, proven approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We're generating highly qualified appointments for our sales team. I figured that we would have to hire a marketing specialist to research companies and contacts, plus run the marketing emails and follow-up calls to make appointments, so if you add the cost of a FTE plus $30-40,000 in database licenses, it didn't make sense.
