I like how it is user friendly in a template-based way, but yet completely customizable with your menus, prices, policies to your business. Because market prices change so frequently, we often make adjustments to menus or prices of our food packages. We've been so thankful that CaterZen gives the admin control to change the details of templates. Also, if we need to change something but are not sure how, there are numerous articles available to you so its just a simple search and you have step by step instructions. What do you dislike?
Very few things but one of them being that CaterZen is constantly trying to update/upgrade their processes that occasionally this will cause a glitch. Things like you hit enter on the key board and it automatically converts the quote you were working on to an order or when you intentionally save a quote as an order, it rearranges your line items. But every tie we've contacted them about these minor issues, they've been super helpful and it clears up in about 24 hours. Two things features I wish were different or available would be to because to deactivate a quote without deleting it and to be able to search within all or recent orders by menu. Recommendations to others considering the product:
DO IT! Overall its been such a helpful tool for our business. They provide email templates and marketing aids that really boost the look of your business. Their support staff are very friendly and fast if you ever have any issues. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We stay much more on top of following up with clients. For example, the system sends out an automated event reminder a few days before an event. On rare occasions, we've saved ourselves a lot of headaches when the client thought they had canceled with us when they had not. These automated reminders have also increased the mounts of timely payments. Our favorite marketing feature though, is being able to tag clients so now we can know who is part of a company or who annual has a Christmas party.
