**What do you like best about FoodStorm?**

FoodStorm WAS an amazing piece of software with customer centric approach. They were genuinely game changers in their day. Sadly. since the takeover by Instacart there is no longer any account management, support is almost non-existant and the site is no longer PCI compliant.

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

Lack of support and account management. Not PCI compliant.

**Recommendations to others considering FoodStorm:**

Try it out for a period before committing and try other software too. We took out time to test different options and FoodStorm came out way ahead of anything else we tried.

**What problems is FoodStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FoodStorm previusly streamlined our operation, ordering, invoicing and much more.

**What do you like best about FoodStorm?**

Easy, intutive user experience resulting in less need for customer support. The Foodstorm team is very responsive and fun to work with.

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

Was hoping for Foodstorm to be integrated with Storefront Pro by now.

**What problems is FoodStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a way for customers to reserve holiday meals weeks in advance as well as order made-to-order items for same day pickup.

**What do you like best about FoodStorm?**

-Ease of entering invoices
-Automatic daily payments

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

It is not accounting friendly. 
-You cannot credit an invoice. You have to create a separate credit invoice with a completely different number. It confuses the customers and does not reflect in the original invoice.
-When a customer cancels an order that has already been paid for, it comes over as an expense that doesn't break down what the expense is for. It simply comes over as AR. However, the credit memo credits food, delivery, gratuity, etc. That causes an issue because we have a credit to the different income accounts, but the expense does not come over the same way. We have to delete the expense and create an invoice for the exact same things as the credit memo so that they properly offset each other. This costs us time and money (labor cost) to fix.
-You cannot export a single invoice. It must be done by day, which can cause issues if you do not want to export everything on that particular day.
-Exporting to QuickBooks takes an excessive amount of time (very slow). They claim this is a QB issue, but our previous software did not have this issue with QB.
-Reports do not include a Sales Log with payment information.

**What problems is FoodStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We requested assistance with the problems previously referenced, but we continue to be told that these issues are “not something we can look into at this stage” and “we don’t have an ETA”. At times we have just been told “this isn’t something we can do”. We’ve been requesting many of these items since last year so this is disappointing and is not benefitting us.

**What do you like best about FoodStorm?**

I really like how customizable everything is from the item side. I can change items, prices, add items, add pictures, in seconds. I also like the clean look of the layout of the web page and all the different functions we can do ourselves to add buttons, pages, and categories. I like being the one to manage the website instead of going back and forth with an outside company. The Orders page is also laid out very well. I love the calendar view and the way we can check on, edit and print the orders with the click of a button. I also like that whenever I find or see a problem, our customer success manager at FoodStorm is very responsive and will get the problem fixed, give me an answer ASAP, and will jump on a call or screenshare with me whenever I need. For stores our size (very small), this is a great option for integrated catering platform and easy to use website.

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

While FoodStorm is great for catering trays and platters, some important grocery items are hard to add to the site, like by the pound items. Items that need modifiers, such as sIngle sandwiches or salads with toppings, or cakes with different flavors/colors/options, are also difficult although we have found ways to work around that. I've also found that ordering for a different recipient than the person placing the order online is somewhat confusing. Do-able, but not very clear in terms of the verbiage on the checkout page that I cannot change. Some customers are unwilling to give credit/debit card information to our deli and bakery staff when placing an order, and would prefer to check out through the register, which is difficult since all FoodStorm orders must have payment in FoodStorm. Our customers are unable to use EBT payments, only credit and debit, which has had some pushback from our customers and has resulted in us cancelling orders in the system, since they need to check out through the register. However, we are working on an integration with our front end system ECRS that will hopefully solve some of those payment issues.

**What problems is FoodStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a centralized location for all of our orders has been very helpful. Each of our departments can log in and see all orders in real time, and those of us in management positions can see all orders from all 4 stores. We used to take all orders by hand, we only had them on paper, besides orders from our website that only lived in the departments emails. We are hoping that this centralized order list will be helpful with our Thanksgiving production as well. In the past we have used manual Excel sheets to track orders, which get messy. This is a more consistent and streamlined way to track history and production. And will be helpful for planning for next year!

- Implement an email communication feature within the platform, similar to Tripleseat, so we don't need to use MS Outlook.
- Display the grand total amount from the last two columns (total payment + balance) in the Custom Event Order Report.

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

- Unable to create subtitles within the main group document titles without including the dollar amounts
- Basic event reporting by segments capability might be added for free in the future

YES!

- Very detailed itemized menu items + link to prices, etc.
- Very user-friendly dashboard as well
- Everyone loves the system; it makes communication to the concerned department so efficient and transparent, and it is also cloud-based!

**What do you like best about FoodStorm?**

I love the entire system. Everything is so well thought out and functional. It helps you get into a daily rhythm and keeps those processes front of mind, so nothing critical is forgotten. It makes the catering operations so much easier, I honestly don't know how we managed it before FoodStorm.

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

I don't dislike anything per se, but sometimes I would love more functionality to search for orders. If we could search by parameters other than client and company that would be very useful. I would like to be able to search by cost or item or something else and it can be frustrating that I can't do that....yet. I'm sure they will find a way!

**Recommendations to others considering FoodStorm:**

I can't recommend it enough. It will make your work a lot faster, more accurate & easier. The team are so helpful and nice, they are an absolute pleasure to work with! Also, love that they are big on education & development, the new webinars are so useful.

**What problems is FoodStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The abandoned carts function give you a lot of insight into why people might not be following through with their order. So delving into that can help you make changes to delivery minimums or information on your website, that might be causing people issues.

The ease of foodstorm for admin and also for the client is phenomenal.

I like it all. Would love to be able to generate end of day reports on mobile also for ease

I absolutely recommend Foodstorm to anyone out there looking for a program that is so easy to use but so powerful in what it can do. 

It is so easy for a new client to set themselves up and start ordering with you. 

It is super easy to run all your reporting and to give you insights on where you're doing well and where you need improvement. 

It has been a game changer for our company and has streamlined all our processes and saved us a great deal of time. 

From menu creation ease to adding photos to placing orders to quoting and to production reports and end of day, it has it all. 

Amazing product and equally as amazing custome care.

I highly recommend foodstorm especially to those in the food and catering industries. Your clients will love this and so will your staff.

**What do you like best about FoodStorm?**

Foodstorm runs our entire business from shopping cart to deliveries. Without it we would struggle to do 120 functions a day. It saves us time and money while reducing mistakes and errors. We can enter order directly from a phone call and the system organises our entire kitchen with 8 sections. We highly recommend Foodstorm for anyone in the hospitality business.

No system does everything, but this one does the most.

**What do you like best about FoodStorm?**

I love that changes are immediate and unlimited, meaning I can change things at the touch of a button and change it back if need be.
Foodstorm is relatively easy to use and navigate, so it's not time-consuming or difficult to teach a new team member.
The reports are detailed, and there are so many to choose from.
They run free webinars, so you can learn even more about the system.
Their support is good - they respond fast and are relatively easy to get ahold of.

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

That it crops photos - I would like to be able to choose the size.
There are features that I wish were included but just aren't - for example, you cannot make selecting an option at the end a mandatory selection if certain items are in your cart
For the most part, it is good to use

Definitely give it a go! It might be exactly what you need

Integration of customer ordering and in-house placement linked through to all the operational reports we might need. 
Like the front page giving us an overview of key information.  Abilit to selectively close of time periods when we are hitting capacity.

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

Not too much.  Would like ability to select customers for sales summary so we could leave out internal. Also find it a bit frustrating when the delivery time and person resets each time any change is made to an order.  This makes it hard when we are making minor changes and our delivery schedule is impacted.

If you are getting a lot of orders and want to have everything intergrated so you can see customers and orders and get all the production and delivery reports you might need this product is for you.

On clear picture of the upcoming business that links to all the operational reports... this reduces the risk of errors.

**What do you like best about FoodStorm?**

Foodstorm does everything we need within our catering business. On a client level, online ordering and online payment is a breeze. More importantly though, the back end and reporting features help all the different departments within the business operate at ease. 
If there are any problems or queries they are quickly actioned by Miranda and Gage and the rest of the outstanding team of developers.

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

I can not pinpoint any downsides to using Foodstorm

We were quickly able to switch over to online ordering and able to update and add to our offering as we need to react to the market. 
Foodstorms helps automate a lot of our processes that used to be manual and this allows us to spend our time on developing other important parts of the business.

The absolute ease of inputting orders and searching past orders

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

The only issue i have had is some of my clients have an issue when trying to pay the 20% deposit for their events...some get it some don't

When printing paper for the day it takes half the time then with Caterease and all info is on one page I am not searching for the order that needs printed

**What do you like best about FoodStorm?**

The ease of updating our shopping cart.   No need to go through lengthy WordPress-style complicated sites.  Report generating for production streamlines all parts of our kitchen section by section, making profitability achievable through time-saving on wages.  
We love being able to generate a detailed report of sales items by individual product rather than through an accountancy software package where the report is more based on income account.  Foodstorm enables us to review and restructure our menu according to sales and profitability.
The support we get from Foodstorm is second to none.  No outsourcing of staff to overseas, so they are always available when needed.

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

There is nothing that I find a disadvantage to using Foodstorm at this point in time.

**What problems is FoodStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved the problems of time taken to enter multiple invoices as customers can place their own orders online.  Quotes can be generated seamlessly through Foodstrom rather than a long word document.  Calculating definitive amounts of each product to be made across various customer demographs (catering, wholesale)

It's effortless and straightforward. I love that I can use it on the go (phone)

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

Nothing as of yet. The app sometimes glitches on my phone, however that could be an Apple problem.

Invoicing is a lot easier on this platform. I can do it from my phone, and it has helped a lot when we are out on events / on the road.

I'm using foodstorm to do month-end analysis of sales and reconciliations.

**What do you like best about FoodStorm?**

It makes catering orders easier to process and keep track of. The diverse options they offer on-site catering, corporate catering, as well as event catering. Their range of options, make it easier for the customer to identify what kind of service they are providing and proceed to identify their business with what foodstorm offers.

**What do you dislike about FoodStorm?**

It needs better promotion. I only heard about this software through a friend who works for Google and proceeded to refer to our business.

Easier to connect with existing caterers who provide their services through foodstorm
