Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise Brevo for its ease of use and cost-effective pricing, particularly appreciating the volume-based model that avoids penalties for large contact lists. "Brevo’s Dynamic Segmentation and Email+SMS Automation Streamlined Our Recruiting Outreach"
5/5
What do you like best about Brevo?

Brevo’s combined segmentation engine that ties candidate stage tags, client hiring requests and recruiter assignment labels into one automation rule set delivers the greatest value for Summit HR Partners, as we run dozens of parallel recruitment pipelines for our small-business clients. Our team sends distinct communications depending on where a contact sits: screening reminders for applicants, status updates for hiring managers, and performance check-ins for our contracted third-party recruiters. This platform lets me build dynamic segments that refresh automatically whenever a contact’s tag changes. When we supported a retail client’s seasonal hiring push earlier this quarter, I set up one rule group for candidates passing the phone screen, which triggered a calendar invite for in-person interviews alongside a tailored FAQ sheet about their role benefits. Another separate segment fed automated weekly pipeline summaries straight to the client’s HR lead without manual drafting from our side.

What cuts down our administrative load most is the way its multi-channel sequencing unites email and SMS alerts inside the same workflow. Some entry-level candidates rarely check email, so layered SMS nudges for interview confirmations reduce no-shows significantly. Before adopting Brevo, our coordinators sent these text reminders from personal phones or separate messaging apps, leaving no centralized record for audit or client review. Now every outgoing message attaches to the contact’s profile, and our team can review the full outreach trail in a single view. The hours reclaimed from manual message drafting and logging free me up to reconcile recruiter invoices and adjust pipeline timelines when client hiring priorities shift suddenly.

I also rely heavily on its shared template library with permission controls. Our senior consultants can lock approved compliance language for offer communications, while junior coordinators duplicate and adapt these templates for new requisitions. This keeps hiring messaging consistent across all client accounts and lowers the risk of wording missteps that could create compliance issues.

An unexpected benefit we stumbled upon is the delivery performance dashboard filtered by contact type. We noticed that messages sent to third-party recruiters had far lower open rates on Friday afternoons. We shifted all recruiter check-in automations to Wednesday mornings, which boosted response speed and kept our hiring cycles from stalling toward weekend boundaries.

Even with these strengths, Brevo cannot feed engagement data back into our ATS automatically. I still manually cross-reference open and click metrics when preparing weekly pipeline reports for clients. Still, its unified segmentation and multi-channel automation framework reshapes how we nurture candidates and communicate with stakeholders. Our lean HR consulting team lacks dedicated IT support, and this all-in-one outreach hub keeps communications standardized and traceable as we race to meet tight hiring windows for our business clients. What do you dislike about Brevo?

Brevo’s custom reporting builder carries rigid limitations that create regular bottlenecks for our Summit HR Partners team, especially when we need to compile hiring outreach metrics for our business clients. Every week, our SMB customers request tailored breakdowns tracking interview reminder delivery, candidate engagement, and recruiter follow-up response rates. While Brevo supplies a set of pre-built report templates, these fixed views cannot blend candidate pipeline tags, SMS open statistics, and email reply triggers into a single customized export. A few weeks ago, one manufacturing client asked for a report isolating outreach performance only for warehouse applicant roles, alongside separate figures for administrative candidates. I had to run three separate native reports, export each dataset individually, then merge and clean the tables inside a spreadsheet. This manual data stitching ate up nearly two hours of my afternoon, time I had reserved for reviewing recruiter submissions before their weekly deadline.

I also run into frustrating constraints with conditional form routing for our hiring intake forms. We deploy web forms for clients to submit new job requisitions, and we need submissions for executive searches to route straight to our senior lead consultant, while entry-level openings go to junior coordinators. Brevo’s form logic can send custom confirmation messages, yet it lacks native support to auto-assign form entries to different team members based on dropdown selections. Every new requisition alert lands in a shared inbox, forcing someone to manually triage and forward the request to the correct consultant. During our busiest hiring stretch this summer, delayed routing once pushed back the initial candidate sourcing kickoff by a full business day.

Another pain point lies in its contact deduplication workflow. When a candidate applies to multiple openings with the same client, duplicate profiles generate easily. The matching algorithm fails to catch records with minor formatting differences, such as a middle initial added in one submission. Merging these profiles requires clicking through each contact separately, and there is no bulk merge tool to process batches of matches at once. Our team spends consistent time hunting duplicates, which muddles engagement history and skews our outreach analytics if left unresolved. Since we operate without dedicated IT staff, we have no way to script workarounds for these gaps.

A silver lining emerged from these reporting and routing restrictions. Our team built a standardized requisition intake checklist that clients fill out before submitting forms. It includes clear role classification fields and pre-notifies the assigned consultant ahead of form submission. This advance notice reduces triage delays and encourages our client partners to submit more complete job details, cutting back on follow-up clarification emails.

Brevo remains our main platform for candidate and stakeholder outreach automation, but these limitations around flexible reporting, form assignment rules and bulk deduplication add steady administrative overhead. Recruitment consulting depends on fast, accurate reporting and streamlined intake handoffs, and these platform shortcomings mean we still rely heavily on external spreadsheets and manual message triage to keep client hiring pipelines on track. "Brevo’s Volume-Based Pricing and Generous Free Plan Deliver Great Value"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Brevo?

Volume-Based Pricing (No "Subscriber Tax"): Unlike Mailchimp or ActiveCampaign that charge based on the size of your contact list, Brevo charges based on the number of emails you send. This makes it exceptionally cost-effective for businesses with large databases of leads but moderate sending frequencies.

Generous Free Plan: Brevo offers one of the most robust free tiers on the market, allowing up to 300 emails per day with unlimited contacts. It includes access to a drag-and-drop editor, transactional APIs, and basic automation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brevo?

Daily Sending Limit on Free: The free plan allows for unlimited contacts, but strictly caps sending at 300 emails per day. If you have a list of 1,000 people, it will take you over three days to email your entire list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Campaigns with Intuitive Tools"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Brevo?

I really like the user interface of the Brevo Marketing Platform; it makes managing our contacts very straightforward. Being able to design our own templates and share them with the team is especially useful, and it adds a lot of flexibility to our campaigns. The initial setup was also easy, which saved us a lot of hassle.

The drag-and-drop template builder is very convenient, and the ability to use HTML code allows us to create designs that closely match our company’s branding and specific requirements.

We initially started with the free version, which allowed us to send up to 300 emails per day. After seeing good response rates from our campaigns, we decided to upgrade to a paid plan.

From an **integration** perspective, Brevo has been easy to work with and fits well into our existing marketing workflow. It makes it easier to manage contacts, campaigns, and communication from one platform without requiring a complicated setup.

In terms of **performance**, we have been happy with the overall reliability of the platform. Campaigns are easy to manage, and the reporting and tracking features help us understand how our emails are performing and where we can improve.

The **AI and intelligent features** are also a useful addition. They help streamline parts of the campaign creation and optimization process, making it easier to develop content and improve engagement without having to do everything manually. Overall, Brevo provides a good balance of ease of use, flexibility, performance, and intelligent marketing features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brevo?

Setting up campaigns requires multiple steps, and it could be simplified to happen in just a few clicks. The options could be more straightforward, although we still manage with the current system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cost-Effective Scaling for Agencies Without the "Subscriber Tax""
5/5
What do you like best about Brevo?

Volume-Based Pricing: Charging by email volume instead of active contacts is a real game-changer for agency client accounts. It means we don’t have to worry about clients being financially penalized just for keeping a large database of cold or inactive leads.

Unified Channels: Having both email and SMS built into the same automation workflows makes cross-channel sequencing feel seamless. We can trigger SMS follow-ups based on email engagement without having to duct-tape third-party tools together.

Transactional Email Reliability: The dedicated transactional email infrastructure has been rock-solid for us. Client e-commerce notifications, password resets, and booking confirmations land in inboxes consistently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brevo?

Strict Compliance & Account Flags: Brevo’s compliance team is extremely rigorous. If a client imports a legacy list, or if the opt-in data isn’t completely solid, they’ll pause the account right away. Because of that, we have to audit client data even more carefully before onboarding.

Agency Management UX: User management is manageable overall, but switching between multiple client accounts or handling sub-organizations still isn’t as smooth or agency-first as it could be, especially compared with more dedicated multi-tenant platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Campaign Management with Brevo"
4/5
What do you like best about Brevo?

I really appreciate Brevo Marketing Platform for its ability to handle both email and SMS marketing in one place. The platform is very user-friendly, even for our team that's not experienced with email marketing. It's really quick to go from start to finish when creating and sending out email campaigns, and I love how you can schedule them in advance, which makes planning a breeze. Another standout feature for me is how easy it is to duplicate past campaigns and reuse them. It's a massive time-saver as I can make a few tweaks for different target demographics without having to start from scratch each time. Additionally, the pricing is significantly better than our previous service, and the initial setup was very simple with not much setup required. We will use an AI tool like ChatGPT or Claude to write out all of our copy, and then we will easily copy and paste it, put a design together in Brevo, and then be able to distribute just like that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brevo?

There's a lot of regulation in order to be able to send SMS. And I would like it if it was easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good for regular email campaigns, but has some limitations"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Brevo?

What I like most about Brevo is how straightforward it is for day-to-day email campaigns. The drag-and-drop editor lets me put together emails quickly without needing much technical know-how. I also appreciate the contact management tools and the basic automation features, especially when I’m setting up recurring campaigns and simple follow-up sequences. Overall, it helps me save time compared with trying to manage everything manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brevo?

Some of the more advanced features feel a bit limited. Setting up basic email campaigns is straightforward, but when I need more complex automation or deeper segmentation, I sometimes end up relying on workarounds. I also feel the reporting could be stronger. The core metrics are available, but I’d appreciate more detailed insights for comparing campaigns and for understanding what’s actually working. "All-in-One Email + Marketing Platform with Solid Deliverability and GDPR-Friendly EU Hosting"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Brevo?

What I like best is having transactional email and marketing campaigns in the same platform — I don't juggle two tools or two contact lists. The free/low tiers are genuinely usable, so it scaled with me instead of forcing an upgrade early. Deliverability has been solid, the automation workflows cover my newsletters and follow-ups without custom code, and as an EU-hosted service it fits my GDPR requirements cleanly. The contact segmentation is straightforward once set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brevo?

The template editor feels rigid once you want something beyond the standard layouts — I've had to fight it a bit to get emails exactly how I wanted, and fine styling isn't always intuitive. The rebrand from Sendinblue to Brevo also meant relearning parts of the UI that had moved around. And on the lower tiers the daily sending limit can be a constraint if you send in bursts rather than spreading volume across the day. None of it is a dealbreaker, but they're the rough edges I've actually hit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cost-Effective and Intuitive, But AI Needs Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Brevo?

It’s very affordable compared to when we used Mailchimp, which was so expensive. The automation builder is intuitive, and I like that you can see the results right within the builder, since it helps inform the content decisions you make. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brevo?

Brevo was really early to integrate AI into the platform, but I think they put it in the wrong place. Creating emails feels very fiddly, and making changes isn’t always where you’d expect it to be. It really needs an AI helper built in so I can ask questions about how to do X or Y while I’m working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong APIs, deliverability tools, and templates, but customization and reporting feel limited"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Brevo?

I really value the Integration APIs because they make it much easier to connect email functionality with my existing applications and workflows. Managing email deliverability is also crucial, and I like being able to monitor delivery status and identify spam-related issues so I can stay on top of email communication and handle problems more effectively. Email templates are very convenient when I’m sending similar emails regularly, since I can customize an existing template, save time, and keep communication consistent. I also found it quite convenient to coordinate email alongside SMS and WhatsApp from a single platform, and setting up and tracking email campaigns felt relatively straightforward. Automation triggered by user actions was useful for simplifying repetitive tasks and keeping follow-ups more consistent. Segmentation and personalization helped me tailor content to different audience groups so communication feels less one-size-fits-all and more meaningful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brevo?

Customization can take extra effort, especially when I need precise control over layout or formatting in templates, and it can get fairly time-consuming. Reporting and analytics has helpful basic metrics, but I sometimes need more granular reporting, and it would be easier to compare results across campaigns if the information were simpler to organize and interpret. Email scheduling is generally convenient, but tracking scheduling details and making last-minute changes across multiple emails or campaigns can feel a bit cumbersome, and I’d prefer a more streamlined interface with a clearer overview. For multichannel work, I’d also like a more unified overview when comparing scheduling and performance across channels. I haven’t used sandbox/test environments yet, but I can see how a dedicated testing environment would help before deploying more complex integrations. I also sometimes want more in-depth info for technical troubleshooting, and if detailed server log access and interpretation were more straightforward it would be easier to pinpoint root causes. I haven’t incorporated AI Copilot into my regular workflow, and clearer guidance and practical examples would make it easier to use effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong multichannel automation and personalization, but weak mobile and basic A/B testing"
5/5
What do you like best about Brevo?

What I like best about Brevo is how it combines email, SMS, and WhatsApp marketing into one clean, unified platform while making advanced automation incredibly easy to set up. It saves me so much time by allowing me to manage multi-channel campaigns and track customer behavior all in a single place without constantly switching between different tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brevo?

What I dislike most about Brevo is the occasional limitation and strictness around their deliverability checks and account verification processes, which can sometimes temporarily block campaigns or slow things down when you are trying to launch time-sensitive marketing messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
