The best thing about the JDA software is the 3D capabilities and graphics. With the newest update you can work in projects, amongst different categories, and still be able to save. How it implemented the inventory management formulas and supply chain structures in a relatively large scale.

Took a scientific approach to recommend inventory for our highly complex supply chain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blue Yonder Inventory Optimization?

The UI was not very responsive and not very user friendly for a company with 9000+ parts to review/optimize for.

Lack of sensitivity analysis capability for raw material supply lead times.

No time-phased BOM/RTG options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Blue Yonder Inventory Optimization:

It would work better for a shorter, more horizontal supply chain (as opposed to one with 90 days of lead time and 4 intermediate product types).

- only few criteria to compare listed solutions

- too expensive for a small company

- some features not required by every company

- some features can be handled better by "standard" office tools
