What I like most about SAP Integrated Business Planning is that it brings multiple planning activities—such as demand, supply, and inventory planning—into a single platform. This makes it much easier to get a clear, end-to-end view of business requirements and plan accordingly. Features like demand forecasting, real-time data visibility, and scenario planning are particularly useful for supporting better, more informed decisions. It also cuts down on manual work, improves coordination across teams, and helps surface potential supply or demand issues early. Overall, it makes the planning process feel more organised, efficient, and reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One area where SAP IBP could improve is the initial setup and the platform’s overall complexity. It can take a while for new users to understand the various features and workflows, especially if they aren’t already familiar with SAP planning tools. Some configuration and customisation options also require technical knowledge, which can make implementation and ongoing adjustments feel challenging. Reporting is another point where the experience could be smoother. Generating reports and moving between different planning views isn’t always as straightforward as it could be. Better in-product guidance, simpler navigation, and more flexible reporting options would make SAP IBP easier to use and would improve the overall user experience.
