"IBM Planning Analytics: Driving Efficiency and Accuracy in Business Planning"
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

IBM Planning Analytics stands out for its impressive blend of flexibility and performance. The integration of TM1 with a user-friendly interface enables real-time data analysis and supports quicker decision-making. I also value how easily I can create dynamic dashboards and carry out multidimensional modeling. Its automation features greatly minimize manual work, which enhances both efficiency and accuracy across planning, forecasting, and reporting tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

One aspect where IBM Planning Analytics could see improvement is in its user interface and the complexity of the initial setup. Although the tool offers robust capabilities, newcomers may struggle to navigate and set up models effectively without sufficient training. Furthermore, performance can occasionally lag when working with particularly large datasets. Improving the platform’s user-friendliness, as well as its documentation and troubleshooting resources, would help create a smoother and more efficient experience for all users. "Ease in deliveries and analysis"
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

I like the flexibility that the tool offers to build custom models, tailored to the specific needs of the business. The integration with Excel via PAfE greatly facilitates data analysis and contributes to the autonomy of the controlling team in their daily activities. The performance for real-time calculations and simulations is also a strong point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

Memory management and server resource consumption can be a challenge, especially in environments with large volumes of data. Additionally, the startup process of the SDATA service is not very transparent — the logs do not clearly indicate when there is reprocessing of feeders or how long the service will take to be fully available again. "Driving Efficiency and Governance Through Advanced TM1 Development"
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

What I appreciate most about TM1 is the ability to design end-to-end planning solutions that combine both performance and control. I enjoy how the platform allows me to implement robust governance through security settings, while still offering flexibility to adapt models quickly as business needs change. It’s a powerful balance between structure and agility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

One thing I don't like about TM1 is the complexity involved in scaling models across different business units. While TM1 offers flexibility, maintaining consistency and performance across large, decentralized teams can be challenging, especially when dealing with complex, interdependent calculations and data sources. "Optimizing Financial Performance Through Scalable TM1 Development"
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

What I like most is the power and flexibility of TurboIntegrator and Rules for creating custom, automated solutions. TM1 gives me full control to build tailored models that fit the exact needs of the business, and I enjoy how scalable and fast the engine is when handling complex calculations across large datasets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

I don’t like about TM1 is the lack of modern development tools and debugging support. Developing in TurboIntegrator can feel outdated, with limited syntax highlighting, version control, or error tracing. This makes maintaining and troubleshooting code more time-consuming than it should be, especially in larger, more complex applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"As a Data Analyst it fits perfect in my daily tasks"
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

As a Data Analyst at Aegea, what I appreciate most about working with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) is the flexibility and speed it offers for handling complex data models. TM1 allows me to build dynamic cubes and automate processes, which helps me generate accurate forecasts and performance reports quickly. It’s especially valuable in our environment where financial planning and operational efficiency are critical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

The complexity of managing and debugging TurboIntegrator processes and rules. Sometimes, even small changes require deep technical knowledge and careful testing. Also, the user interface, especially in TM1 Web, can feel outdated and less intuitive compared to more modern planning tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust solution for corporate data planning and analysis."
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

What I like most about IBM Planning Analytics is the flexibility to create customized planning and budgeting models, combined with the performance of TM1. The ability to integrate with Excel via PAX and the possibility to automate complex processes make the work more efficient and dynamic. Furthermore, the multidimensional structure allows for quick and in-depth analyses, optimizing decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

The learning curve can be a bit steep for new users, especially for those who are not familiar with multidimensional concepts or scripting in TurboIntegrator. Additionally, some features of the PAW interface are still limited compared to Excel, which can impact the user experience in more specific scenarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhancing Strategic Planning and Agility with TM1"
What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

What stands out in TM1 is the ability to model complex business scenarios without relying heavily on external spreadsheets. It brings structure to planning processes while still allowing custom logic, which is especially useful in a fast-paced financial environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

One downside of TM1 is how unintuitive some of its advanced features can be for new users. Setting up hierarchies or troubleshooting data issues often requires deep platform knowledge, which slows down onboarding and makes knowledge transfer harder within the team.
