
Billtrust Review – Overall Experience
We use Billtrust daily as part of our billing and accounts receivable process, and it’s become a core tool for our finance operations.
Ease of Use:
The platform is very user-friendly once you get used to it. The layout is clean, and most tasks like sending invoices or reconciling payments can be done in just a few clicks. It’s intuitive enough that even team members with limited tech backgrounds picked it up quickly.
Ease of Implementation:
Implementation was smoother than expected. The Billtrust onboarding team walked us through setup, integration, and data migration step by step. Like any enterprise system, there was a learning curve at first, but their guidance and documentation made the process manageable.
Customer Support:
Customer support has been consistently responsive and helpful. When we’ve run into small issues or needed configuration help, their support team has followed up promptly and resolved things quickly. It’s reassuring to have that level of backing.
Frequency of Use:
We’re in Billtrust every day — invoicing, tracking payments, and running reports. It’s become a “can’t-live-without” system for our AR department because it handles so many day-to-day workflows in one place.
Number of Features:
The platform covers just about everything we need: automated invoicing, online payments, cash application, reporting, and integration with our ERP. The analytics tools are especially useful for spotting trends in collections and cash flow.
Ease of Integration:
Integration with our ERP and accounting system went smoothly. The API connections and data mapping tools are well-documented, and once configured, everything syncs seamlessly. That’s made it easy to maintain accurate, real-time financial data without a lot of manual work.

What I dislike about Billtrust is mostly minor and tied to usability, not performance. The platform occasionally logs users out faster than expected, and some features—like report customization or document search—could be a little more intuitive. When new updates roll out, there’s sometimes a short learning curve for the team to adjust.
