ActiveCampaign Reviews & Product Details

I like how ActiveCampaign lets me duplicate campaigns and allows for changes from each su. Also ties are the analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

WHERE IS AUTO SAVE OPTION?! There's no auto save button, and I've lost campaigns because the only way to save information is by manually clicking the save and exit button. I appreciate the AI function, but I would just love an automatic save button above any of the AI functions. It's more of a distraction that this simple feature is still not available. I really like how flexible ActiveCampaign is, especially when it comes to building pretty advanced customer journeys without too much dev work. The interface is fairly intuitive once you get the hang of it, and the segmentation options are really powerful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some parts of the UI can feel a bit clunky or not super consistent, especially when i am managing more complex automations. Reporting can also be a bit limited depending on what you want to analyze. And sometimes it’s not always clear where to find certain settings Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I definitely love the ability to track everything after sending a campaign or starting an automation. I love the integrations with other services that I use like Calendly, Wordpress, and even Stripe. It really feels like a one stop shop where you can get a good idea of how things are performing. I really like the new suggestions for segmenting contact lists for analysis and testing. It's proven to be a good tool with not too great a learning curve. I was able to start sending emails soon after learning the basics and their learning library is VERY comprehensive. As much as AI can be useful, I absolutely hate the new homepage they are pushing. Thankfully I can revert to the original dashboard version for now. It gives a good at a glance idea of how everything is doing. I'm also not a fan of the AI creation features for images and writing in general since it's so obvious once finished that it was generative AI. I think using the AI features for analyzing and tips is the better way to go. There's not enough information for it to really create useful things about niche topics like what I'm marketing. ActiveCampaign provides a powerful and flexible marketing automation platform that allows us to design sophisticated customer journeys with ease. The automation builder is intuitive yet highly capable, making it possible to connect email campaigns, forms, tagging, segmentation, and CRM actions into a seamless system. We particularly appreciate the depth of personalization, behavioral tracking, and the ability to scale from simple email sequences to advanced multi-channel automations. It has become a central part of our customer acquisition and relationship management strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While the platform is robust, there is a learning curve when setting up more advanced automations and CRM workflows. Some interface areas could be more streamlined, and reporting customization can feel limited compared to dedicated analytics tools. Additionally, as complexity grows, maintaining large automation maps requires disciplined organization. That said, these are minor trade-offs considering the overall capabilities. ActiveCampaign delivers extremely powerful marketing automation that goes far beyond simple email broadcasts. Its drag‑and‑drop workflow builder, AI‑powered segmentation, predictive sending, and deep personalisation tools make it easy to build complex customer journeys across email, SMS, and CRM. The platform also offers strong deliverability, excellent analytics, and a robust built‑in CRM, giving you an all‑in‑one system for nurturing leads and improving client communication. The platform can feel overwhelming for new users due to its depth and learning curve. While incredibly capable, it may feel like “too much power” if all you want to do is send simple newsletters. ActiveCampaign is also slightly more expensive than lightweight competitors, and some entry‑level plans offer limited integrations or basic template options compared to other tools. We use ActiveCampaign for mailing, forms and automations, and general mail-management. It is a great marketingtool with a lot of possibilities, sometimes overwhelmingly so. Ever since I have worked with it, I personally have never encountered any bugs or disruptions with it. Easy to manage contacts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The email builder is great, but I experienced some small limitations regarding layout. Because it is so extensive, it’s sometimes difficult to find where to adjust certain things. The fact that ActiveCampaign continually makes improvements is, of course, a plus, but also a drawback if you’re used to a certain workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is fairly easy to use and I can figure out most stuff Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Support is not always the best. They prefer to direct you to videos or articles of schedule meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been a user of ActiveCampaign for over 5 years so I am on very good pricing. It integrates with my websites seamlessly not requiring third party software. I love the capability of the automations and the ease to use them. When I have required support, they've always been quick to respond and helpful. I haven't had any performance issues. I'm only just starting to explore the AI-powered features so I'm on the fence with how useful that will be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I can't say that I have found a downside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Has all the features of a CRM with Email marketing included Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The set up isn't difficult overall but not a great amount of resources to explain some of the functionalities such as pulling contact information into email campaigns, proper execution of tags, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
