## UMU Reviews
 ### 1. Examples of UMU Utilization in Our Company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kazuhiko s. | Omnichannel Human Resources Development Department, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

The three things I like most about UMU are as follows:

UI that captures learners' interest: The visually appealing and intuitive interface attracts learners' attention and enhances their learning experience.
AI support that reduces workload: The AI-powered support features enable efficient learning, saving time and effort.
Design that promotes interactive learning: The interactive design encourages communication and feedback among learners, leading to deeper understanding and better learning outcomes.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

The three things I don't like about UMU are as follows:

The video editing feature is only available in the application: I would like it to be available in the browser as well.
In video editing, I would like to add emphasis effects, not just cut edits: More diverse editing features would be convenient.
I would like the AI video banner variations to have a more Japanese-oriented design: A design that is more familiar to Japanese users is desired.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Interactive learning transforms passive learners into active participants in their educational journey. This shift from passive to active engagement encourages learners to take ownership of their studies, fostering a deeper understanding and retention of knowledge. By cultivating a workforce of sales employees who are proactive and self-motivated, we can significantly enhance the overall productivity of the company. These employees are not only more effective in their roles but also contribute to a more dynamic and innovative work environment, driving the company towards greater success.

 ### 2. I am very satisfied that the learners have become conscious of ``verbalization''.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 裕貴 . | Deputy Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

By providing learning through UMU, there are many opportunities to encourage learners' output.
・After watching the video: What I learned and noticed from the video
・After the training: Ask the participants to comment on how they will use what they learned today in the future.
I think that as a result of the learners expressing their thoughts and opinions more often, their ability to verbalize them has improved.
I think being able to see other people's comments has helped me imitate good writing styles.
It has been one year since the system was introduced, and I feel that the language skills of the learners have improved compared to when it was first introduced.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

As the amount of content increases, it is becoming more and more difficult to find the content you are looking for.
I think it would be more convenient if you could view more courses at once, such as 50 or 100, on the list on the course creation screen, as it would reduce the number of page flips.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The time spent on all aspects of training management has been reduced.
・Reduced number of learning/training guidance (situation where learning content is available by logging into UMU)
・Reduction of time spent creating one piece of content
・Survey aggregation (as it is aggregated on UMU, there is no need to set aside time to compile it separately)

 ### 3. An E-Learning System that Meets Diverse Learning Needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ainari k. | Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

The most significant advantage of UMU is its flexible trial environment. Since users can test the system with a free account before full implementation, they can thoroughly understand its features and usability, reducing potential misunderstandings during actual operation. Another outstanding feature is that it allows anonymous participation. This unique feature of UMU enables hosts to organize events or open training sessions without requiring individual accounts for each participant. Additionally, frequent feature updates reflect the team’s responsiveness to user feedback, giving UMU a notably agile development approach.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

One possible drawback of the free account is that it limits participant management to 30 users, which might feel restrictive. However, this is generally adequate for small-scale trials. The survey function is somewhat limited compared to Google Forms or Microsoft Forms, making it less suitable for complex surveys. However, it’s possible to link other survey tools as a workaround. For enterprise use, it's worth noting that content created within a corporate account is only accessible within the organization, so it’s essential to keep content visibility in mind.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UMU excels at managing learning and training effectively, both within and outside organizations. For example, by integrating file sharing, discussions, and surveys within a single course, it ensures continuity and relevance, allowing learners to approach content systematically. Both enterprise and individual accounts are available, offering settings that cater to varied needs. Furthermore, UMU’s unique badge system motivates learners, adding an engaging layer to the learning experience.

 ### 4. A Must-Have Tool for Maximizing Interactive and Blended Learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Satoshi K. | CEO Learning Evangelist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

As a trainer, I’m thrilled that this tool offers an abundance of features I’ve always wanted. Interaction with learners is what I value most, and I especially appreciate that this tool enables interactive learning, whether offline or online, synchronous or asynchronous. It also provides a wide variety of interactive options, including not just text posts but also images, audio, video, and file uploads, allowing me to offer meaningful blended learning and practice not only on the day of training but also before and after. The tool is designed for ease of implementation, so even those without strong IT skills can use it effectively, and it’s ready to deploy for training as soon as the next day. When I have questions, the support includes guidance with links to images and videos, which is extremely useful. Additionally, both input and output content can be registered as templates, which greatly enhances efficiency for future sessions, making preparation much easier. Content created once can be templated and copied, making this an essential tool that I now frequently use in all of my training sessions.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

Because it is a highly powerful tool, I sometimes feel that it would be helpful if its integration with SNS and other systems could be further enhanced. Also, although there are a wealth of useful options available, it can be challenging to grasp the overall functionality, so I think it would be beneficial to have more information and tutorials to maximize its use.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a trainer, providing clients with learning experiences that ensure the measurement of training effectiveness is the most crucial element for differentiating ourselves from competitors. With UMU, I can freely design learning by combining three types of content—input content, output content (practice and feedback), and assessment content. This allows not only for training effectiveness measurement but also for delivering performance learning that transforms 'knowing' into 'doing.' This enables the delivery of truly valuable and impactful courses, which not only allows for an increase in pricing from clients but also gives me, as a trainer, the rewarding experience of witnessing real behavioral change in learners.

 ### 5. It is something indispensable for our company.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** natsumi t. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

It enables efficient implementation of both input and output processes, significantly enhancing the quality of learning.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

There’s nothing I dislike about it. I just wish more people knew about it!

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We primarily utilize it for training sessions and webinars for companies. Its various features, such as surveys and quizzes, can be easily accessed by simply scanning a QR code, which has been highly praised. Many participants have shared feedback like, "This was the most enjoyable training I've ever had!" making training sessions using UMU extremely popular and highly satisfying.

It allows us to efficiently structure learning processes, including input and output phases, and we feel that the achievement of post-training goals has significantly improved thanks to UMU. Moving forward, we also plan to incorporate it into our internal training programs!

 ### 6. Easy influense with less effort by SysAd

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fumiya M. | Assistant Manager, Head of Office-Tool Team, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

- Easy content-creation by business operation divisions with lesser IT dept.'s support
- AI can read script and no need to record our voices (it takes time for preperation and rehasall in advance)

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

No special suggestion as of now but hoIt would be good if we could scientifically derive what individual employees really need to learn from the HR system, past learning history, current roles, and other data.
(How we incorporate more of what HR departments and managers are doing outside of UMU with their wits and hunches/tips?)

The current LMS is merely an electronic and multimedia version of the traditional paper textbooks, so we are looking forward to seeing how it can step into areas beyond that.pe us to learn how we customise who

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Various contents can be delivered to all employees by each business operation divisions, and can grasp the progress

 ### 7. The way I think about learning has changed. Employee awareness has also changed.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 貴織 . | Deputy manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

"We held off on implementing UMU for a while because there were many people in the company who were not good at IT, and the penetration of technology was slow, but I'm glad we did. Even elderly members can use it intuitively, which is very helpful.
Looking at the surveys compiled every year by the training team, we found that employees' awareness of ""learning"" improved after introducing UMU."

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

I understand that the quality is high compared to other services, but I would appreciate it if it were a little cheaper.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

・Learners' learning awareness has improved
・Reduction of administrator man-hours (Easy to manage, management contents can be converted to CSV file with one button)
- All functions are simple and can be operated intuitively

 ### 8. A learning tool that can also be used to accumulate internal knowledge and conduct training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 隆明 . | sales manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

Good searchability of content.
As a sales company, we often search for ways to expand sales of commercial products and sales knowledge of excellent players, etc. The boxes are separated by content and very easy to read.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

I believe the confidence level will be indicated, but I don't see much need for it.
I think it is fine whether it is there or not.
Also, I think that the ability to edit one's own profile more freely would enhance interaction with others.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple acquisition of the elements necessary for the accumulation of study contents and sales activities.

 ### 9. You can create high-quality interactive learning courses with simple operations.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 鉄兵 . | director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

The ease with which learning courses can be created is remarkable. In particular, I'm very satisfied with how easily videos can be produced using AI video capabilities.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

I am dissatisfied with the inability to specifically search for posts by our organization's members. Additionally, I would like the option to save the progress results of specific organizations on the organization board. I would appreciate it if these two issues could be improved.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the previous system, we had to go through a cumbersome process of editing videos with Adobe Premiere Pro, authoring them in another system, and then uploading the materials to the LMS. However, since implementing UMU, simple videos can be completed using just UMU's features, and even those requiring some editing can be efficiently created by combining Adobe Premiere Pro with UMU. Additionally, the ease of creating surveys and tests is a significant advantage.
Furthermore, it is easy for users to understand where each piece of content is located, which promotes self-directed learning and has significantly increased the completion rate of onboarding training.

 ### 10. The Ultimate Tool for Interactive Training!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** のえ . | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

UMU’s interactive features are exceptional. It enables seamless engagement with participants during training sessions, making it a game-changer compared to traditional one-way training methods. Additionally, the UI is extremely intuitive and user-friendly, so even first-time users can navigate it without any trouble.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

There’s absolutely nothing I dislike about UMU. It perfectly fits into our training process and has become an indispensable tool for our sessions.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UMU addresses the issue of participants losing focus and struggling with comprehension during traditional one-way training sessions. Its interactive features create an engaging environment, improving understanding and significantly boosting training outcomes. Additionally, its intuitive UI ensures smooth operation, leading to greater time efficiency.

 ### 11. A service that can promote learning using IT and AI.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

We used several e-learning services, but none of them had the ability to design learning to the point of using AI to commit to employee outcomes like UMU does.
The best thing about this service is that you can perform performance learning.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

The functions are updated every month, but sometimes the information is not up to date and the specifications change.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To be honest, up until now, I had simply thought, ``Maybe I should just introduce e-Learning...'', but the sales staff at UMU Technology Japan very carefully explained to me the ``Science of Learning'' and ``The Science of Learning''. The training staff were able to deepen their understanding of the project by teaching us about ``how to design.'' The biggest solution may have been the awareness of the training staff.

 ### 12. no matter what the time and place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 壮 . | sales, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

Knowledge is stored in video and written form, so it can be easily checked at any time.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

While it is convenient that the degree of learning is calculated based on the viewership rate, video materials, etc., must be viewed until the end to be measured.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to learn about high performers and their findings at any time and place. It is also useful to be able to check one's own learning progress and to look back and study.

 ### 13. The perfect learning platform for the DX era

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

1) It can be used equally well on both smartphones and PCs.
② You can design it so that you can study whenever you want.
③ Videos produced in-house can be distributed, and in some cases videos from outside the company can be distributed.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

It would be nice if there was a function to split and edit videos posted on UMU. Other than that I'm very satisfied.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since I had introduced the ELearning service, I was able to have my students provide input whenever they wanted, but I had not been able to design a study that would produce output. This can be solved all at once by using UMU. I think we've created a virtuous cycle because many of our employees have always wanted to actively learn.

 ### 14. Recommended for companies that think training is meaningless.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 大生 . | sales officcer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

"There are many mechanisms for learning before and after training, as well as mechanisms for designing continuous learning. We haven't used all the functions yet, but we can do everything we want to do as a training team.
My favorite features are the question function and the test function."

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

"I'm glad that there are many functions for managing learning, but there are some parts that I don't understand because there are too many functions.
I would be happy if there was something that would make the functions on the administrator side easier to understand."

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem we had to solve was to ensure that employees did not stop studying. In the past, my goal was often to receive training, but I was able to improve this.

 ### 15. It is an AI platform that enables systematic learning from input to output.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

AI Exercise. Since the AI evaluates and provides feedback on the learner's output, there are no differences between evaluators, and the same standards can be used for evaluation, which leads to improved operational efficiency, including on the part of the training provider.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

The problem is that the background is reflected when shooting a video. I think a background blur function like Zoom or Teams is necessary.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It can support learning by making the best use of the gaps in time.
AI evaluates and provides feedback, so a certain evaluation standard is always guaranteed.
It is possible to check the learner's implementation and proficiency over time.
In addition to e-learning for input, courses can be delivered with a combination of AI exercises, confirmation quizzes, and surveys to support a large number of learners with a small number of training personnel.

 ### 16. You can create a high-quality learning experience through microlearning.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

This product is equipped with features designed for extensive output-based learning. In particular, its AI feedback functionality significantly contributes to enhancing presentation performance in sales.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

This product is still under development, so operational errors may occasionally occur. However, you can rest assured as our sales representatives provide prompt troubleshooting support to resolve any issues.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company utilizes this product as part of providing reskilling services for job seekers. Through this product, our customers enhance their communication and sales skills, which ultimately helps them achieve better career opportunities.

 ### 17. A dictionary-like learning tool with search functionality

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 麗菜 . | ordinary employee, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

Just enter the words you want to search for, and you can also see and learn about related information.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

The point that it is not possible to study because it may not appear in some searches.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The AI will teach you the ropes of sales so you can learn on your own.
On the other hand, its evaluation is not multifaceted, making it difficult to be helpful.

 ### 18. Downloading and Uploading Files

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hiroyuki M. | Training Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

No need to search for files to upload because files can be downloaded.
Allows feedback on uploaded files.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

Usability would be enhanced if third parties could download uploaded files.
・1-on-1s can be conducted in an offline environment by having the participant fill out comments on the downloaded file in advance of the coaching session, and the coach downloads and prints out the uploaded file.
・Allows both the learner and manager to enter comments on a single PPT file
・Enables students to take a course in one course setting when downloading and uploading are required

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increase operational efficiency by bringing cumbersome tasks onto one platform.
Easy access from mobile devices, so you can take courses anytime, anywhere.
Participants will learn the type of sales.

 ### 19. Can be used to improve sales performance

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 達也 . | ラーニングコンテンツ&システム部長, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

The ability to achieve performance learning as a sales person. It also enables basic learning for members, which shortens the time required for on-the-job training.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

The high fees make it difficult to easily deploy to many members. Glad something can be done within UMU as it is left to the user to correlate with performance.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rapidly empower sales force members

 ### 20. good tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

During onboarding guidance training, I had to take multiple courses, but the top page clearly categorized and displayed the training sessions each employee needed to complete. Additionally, completed training sessions were marked as "completed," making it convenient to clearly track my progress.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

When viewing files stored within the system, the distinction between the page navigation buttons and the buttons to move to the next file was unclear. Improving this distinction would enhance usability. Furthermore, it would be helpful if the purpose of the points displayed when progressing through training were explained more clearly.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The "My Tasks" button made it easy to immediately understand which training sessions I needed to complete and by when. As a result, even with training software that I do not use regularly, I was able to proceed with training efficiently in a short amount of time, which has been extremely helpful.

 ### 21. A learner-friendly service that is easy to operate on a smartphone

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

I believe it is the most learner-friendly service among the learning platforms available in Japan. It is designed with the learner’s environment in mind, making it easy to operate, easy to view, and easy to understand. Traditional learning platforms have mostly focused on administrative functions or are difficult to view on smartphones.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

When using it in a browser, new pages keep opening as new tabs. This can make the navigation structure difficult to understand.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Traditional learning platforms had issues with usability on smartphones. Therefore, with the introduction of UMU, for employees who primarily use smartphones, the learning experience has been significantly improved. This has led to easier learning and improved training progress rates.

 ### 22. I was worried about continuous learning for my employees, but UMU has made a huge improvement.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

At UMU, we can create mechanisms that make employees want to learn. It's called a gamification element. Now, everyone is actively participating in the weekly learning sessions, and knowledge is being accumulated within the company. We love the discussion feature.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

It may be difficult, but I would like to have a system that allows learning even when disconnected from the internet environment. For example, all courses can be downloaded.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

① Employees are now able to learn independently.
② Designing the rank-based training that is conducted every month has become much easier.
③ UMU also sends messages from the president and executives, making it possible to know who is watching.

 ### 23. Is UMU the only service that can utilize AI to this extent in education?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

Up until now, employees had to take tests after watching e-learning, but the idea of facing a camera (AI) and ``outputting what they learned'' is novel and seems to be very effective. is. I realized that being able to speak with my own voice is extremely important.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

There aren't many, but since it's an overseas product, sometimes the characters are garbled, so I hope this will be improved.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to standardize the output after employee training or e-Learning. I'm glad that I haven't been able to cultivate an awareness of outputting until now.

 ### 24. Educational platform that enables companies to strengthen their sales force.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2024

**What do you like best about UMU?**

Where UMU excels is in its AI role-playing capabilities and very user-friendly UI.

**What do you dislike about UMU?**

I would like to see UMU enhance its content and manual creation functions, and I feel that the range of uses would be expanded if the AI could even play the role of the customer.

**What problems is UMU solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The use of UMU's AI role-playing function has strengthened our sales force.
By using UMU to design learning, we are creating a culture that links learning to results, rather than just learning. Until now, learning has been the objective, but now it has become a learning habit for achieving results, which is a big advantage.

 ### 28. A good service as a platform for performance learning
